I enjoyed the beef broccoli and chicken fried rice. They put bean sprouts in the rice which I love! Service may be a little slow at Royal Wok but the wait is well worth it. I suggest the spicy salt and pepper shrimp! So good!!!

This used to be my go-to spot. The last time I was there, about 1 month ago, I was treated rudely and the food was not as good as I remembered. The service used to be wonderful. The staff was always friendly and polite. This time, the cashier threatened to not take my order because I should have called it in first! Nice!!! Clearly, I didn't know that. When I offered to take a menu and go out to my car to call it in, she rudely told me they didn't have any more menus! So, now, I was supposed to order thru a psychic??? I asked how was I supposed to order without a menu. She just looked at me like I was stupid and said I should use the phone and call first! I just shook my head and turned to leave. The owner yelled a friendly hello from the grill (unaware of what was going on). I smiled and waved hello back so she took my order! (Whew)! The food was greasy and over cooked. Also, it just didn't taste very good. Kinda salty and nothing else. I won't be going back. Too bad. This was a nice place for inexpensive good food until COVID hit. I don't know if their supply chain was affected by COVID but something definitely affected that lady's personality!!! read more

We absolutely love this Chinese restaurant; the food is always fresh to order, the owner & employees are always kind. We have been going to this location for several years now; will continue to go & recommend their services. Our usually food orders are combo 2 double order chicken fried rice, Royal fried chicken & double order shrimp fried rice, orange chicken & Royal fried chicken. We moved a few years ago a little further away but always try to come back in the area when we can. Best beef fried rice take out ever. Granted, I don't do much take out fried rice. But this one, I keep coming back for more. And they have a "no MSG" version that I have not yet tried... I like the one with MSG so much I don't know that I will ever try it without... haha... as much as I know how bad it is bad for you... Also love beef in garlic sauce. These two are my go-to items. I've tried the pork in garlic sauce but that wasn't so good. Pork smelled. The egg roll isn't much to boast about, and the fried chicken appetizer is ok but I've had better. I just moved into the neighborhood and needed to find a good spot for my occasional fried rice cravings. Looks like I found it. Their combination fried rice was delicious. I really liked being able to order a quart-sized portion. I ordered a couple of their beef entrées and they were great as well. This will be my monthly spot! read more

If you are a VEGETARIAN stay FAR AWAY! I asked if the veggie egg rolls and and cream cheese puffs had meat, the man on the phone said no, so I ordered both, along with the veggie fried rice....BOTH have meat!!! I'm so angry!!!!!! You guys are terrible, and shouldn't be in business if you don't know what you put in your food! I picked up my ordered right before they called, so I had to call the next morning. I spoke with the cook and he was extremely rude, argued with me, and said there's nothing he can do about it. He said the puffs have imitation crab (which is pulverized fish...and I'm allergic!) How are you a cook if you don't know that imitation crab is indeed fish???? What a terrible establishment. Absolutely disgusting! read more

This location is open, we just ordered 2 combination dinners tonight. We have not found any dish that we do not like. The salt and pepper fish is very good. I do not want to start off my review and talk about this place being closed. I think it's because he had a sign on the door closed for a few weeks in a row. Tak works his b%$# off and needs to take a break sometime and travel and maybe visit his family in another country. As of Sept. 2015 he is totally open and doing great. He has one helper and works 6 days a week. So sometimes you need to close for a few weeks in a row to see family and relax. NOW FOR MY REVIEW!!!!! I talk to a lot of people and they try Chinese Food everywhere. Many of my friends are content with trying Chinese food and not really bother doing a comparison. Or they say it's good but I don't think they are picky. If you are picky, then this review is for you. I am very picky about my Chinese Food. I can tell you that Royal Wok's Shrimp Fried Rice is incredible. When I open up that container, I can tell by the smell that it is the flavor I have longed for when I went to many take out Chinese restaurants that had that great high temperature wok cooking smell. Their Fried Rice is awesome. No matter what style you get. I sometimes get the combos. I mostly get Shrimp. I am very impressed by the size of the shrimp and also how many shrimp he puts in his fried rice. He doesn't just throw it on the top. It's everywhere in the container. Also, his Egg Foo Young is also awesome. Nice and large and plenty of Shrimp. That's my favorite flavor when it comes to Egg Foo Young. My wife orders shrimp dinners and loves them. I need to try more items so I can give another review on other items. I really don't want to list restaurant names but I will. I think he blows away King's Wok and Royal Garden. I know he has them beat in the Fried Rice category. Tak is also very friendly. Loves to try out his English speaking and is a great guy. Agree with the previous reviewer on the sesame chicken being rubbery. The owner was nice and friendly and made sure I got a big helping of all the items in my combo meal. Several people came in while I was dining in to pick up their carry out orders and they seemed like repeat customers because the owner recognized them. This little restaurant is tucked away in a nice little strip mall in Glendale. Stopped in in a Friday evening where a lot of people were coming and going. We ordered sesame chicken and rice. Pretty run of the mill, but it was rubbery and bland. The rice was overcooked and the crab rangoon had very little crab in it and was stuffed with mostly cream cheese. I will not be returning as there are much better chinese places in Milwaukee. read more

When we are in the Milwaukee area, we ALWAYS get our Chinese fix from here. The owner knows me just by our order, and will always ask how we've been. Food is cooked quickly and is always good and you can't beat the prices. We always get combo #3 ...double order of General Tso, order of chicken fried rice and 2 egg rolls. My husband and I split it and it's always enough to fill us up. I hope it never closes. read more
