The complimentary kimchi cucumbers were delicious along with the Spicy Bibim Cold Ramen. Super refreshing on a hot day and we loved the flavoring. The place is cutely decorated (especialy seating in the back). Would definitely recommend this place.

We came in a snowy Saturday. All we wanted was soup, spicy soup to be exact. We each ordered something different, so we could taste. They definitely got the spice punch. The cucumber salad kimchi, I think it counts as banchan? It was seasoned very well. We all agreed that it was super good! However, for the buddae jjigae, I wish it were thicker. The broth was too light. Some soup had similar flavor. The soft tofu stew was interesting because it's got smoky flavor. Service was excellent! Great ambiance. Loved the Korean songs played in the background!

Sinabro is a cool place to go if you're craving Korean. It has a nice ambiance perfect for date night or a dinner with friends. They have plenty of seating but would highly recommend a reservation to be safe. I got the chicken ramen which tasted pretty good and it had lots of chicken pieces and vegetables which I enjoyed. Their yuzu highball was also delicious and was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. The service was fast which made our experience even more delightful.

My Foodie Cuzzie lives in the neighborhood and is addicted to this place. I finally made it here. Walking in I felt the comfy vibe. We were able to get a table for our group of seven. Our server was really nice and helpful with the menu. Since it was pretty cold out, we were all craving tea. I had the green tea served in a cute cast iron teapot and cup. My cousins ordered the Yuzu tea which quickly became their new obsession. To start, we shared some steamed shu mai. Very yummy. That came out pretty quickly after our tea. We all ordered some form of ramen. It took a while to get our food because they were training a new person in the kitchen. We were pretty hungry, but tried to be patient. When our ramen came out, all was forgiven. I had the Seoul Beef Ramen and added an egg. WOW WOW WOW!!! My cousin's restaurant recommendation was on point! Overall, I was a happy camper. A repeat visit is definitely planned in the near future. Hopefully the newbie in the kitchen will have figured out the flow by that time because I will be HUNGRY!

Great place to have my birthday dinner! We decided to try this restaurant, as I was in the mood for some Korean food and it was delicious! It was pretty empty on a Thursday evening so we were seated right away. Oh and we parked across the street as there is a public lot but you do need to pay per hour. We had a table of 4, so we just order a couple of starters and entrees to share. Starters: Duk Bokki with cheese - nice and chewy rice cakes in a sweet and spicy sauce cover with melted cheese. This was a great start, it had perfect amount of spice. KFC- 4 piece Korean fried chicken- wings covered in their secret Korean bbq sauce. Sweet and tangy paired perfectly with their sticky rice. Bimbimbap- this was my favorite dish and what I really came for. After mixing all the veggies, meats, rice, it was perfect! Let the rice to burn a bit on the stone bowl for a nice extra crunch with every bite! I really enjoy this dish. We had a few other dishes as well and all of them were great! This place met my expectation and I think it's perfect for first timers and also korean food lovers. Spice level is perfect, nothing was too spicy. Our service was good as well, food came out fast and our server checked on us often. I would come back again!

Dumplings pretty good. Buddajigae could have used more beef. There was only like two pieces. But it did have lots of tofu and Spam. On the salty side for me, but very filling and hits the spot if you are craving any sort of kimchi soup. Would definitely come back for their different entrees. Inside was nice w/bar and friendly service.

After drooling over IG posts since it opened, I finally visited! We were seated promptly, and greeted warmly by our server. While we perused the entrees, we decided to share the fried pork dumplings-crispy & full of flavor! They also brought over complimentary, house made kimchi. SO good I tried to get a container to take home but sadly they'd ran out :( For my entree, I chose the Soft Tofu Stew-it's what dreams are made of! Balanced, a little spicy, lots of flavor. I highly recommend Sinabro if you're looking for an authentic Korean meal!

It's an OK Korean restaurant. It's clear that there isn't a large Korean population in Milwaukee. The banchan was pretty small and not much to it. I got the Jjam Bong which is a Korean Chinese Spicy Seafood Noodle Dish. The noodles felt like they were instant ramen noodles but the soup was pretty good and the contents of it were good with dduk (rice cake), cabbage and some seafood. The Bibim Bap my friend got seemed to better but the only banchan was this picklish type of kimchi. A Korean restaurant should and needs to have Cabbage Kimchi. We also got the mandu which was fried nicely and pretty good. There aren't a lot of Korean Options in this part of town so if you need korean food this will suffice but if you get to other parts of town I'm sure there are better Korean places around.

I keep coming back so I need to upgrade my review to 5 stars. I am addicted to the cucumber kimchi. On one visit they brought out extra by mistake and let me keep it and I ate it all. It is also available to go. The other reason I keep coming back is that I crave the ramen. The server on one visit recommended the chicken ramen so I tried it. It's warming and mildly spicy and perfect for a winter day. I like the rice cakes in it. The potato sujebi is also highly recommended. I have tried several dishes on the menu and haven't had anything I didn't like. I get a spot at the bar at lunch on Saturdays usually and it's pretty laid back. They say dinner gets busier so plan ahead. One of my favorite spots in the Third Ward.

One of my favorite date spots! I like the fact that the restaurant has low light & everytime I go there's not many people and I enjoy that. The ramen & dumplings are my favorite and the service is great, the food doesn't take too long

    - Ok food, good service, ok ambiance - No reservation made - Would return, but no rush Made a quick stop at this newer Korean spot to try out their ramen my girlfriend liked, and try other Korean dishes not so typical to a few spots we have been to. I had gotten the Black Bean Ramen w/ Seafood that came with some shrimps and a mussel. The black bean sauce was new to me and I enjoyed the sweeter flavor mixed with all the vegetables. While the noodles were cooked well and the tasty sauce coated each bite, the ratios were off to me. For the price paid, 3 medium shrimps and 1 mussel was not enough to satisfy me. To even further contrast the protein, there was a lotttt of zucchini and onion pieces and plenty left after I tried to eat a scoop with each bite. While the flavor was there, those protein portions left me not so impressed. My girlfriend got the Shrimp & Soft Shell Crab Ramen and it was tasty and not something I had seen before! The broth was very seafoody and flavorful and was very good when eaten with the soft noodles. Again, the protein portions were a bit off with the shrimp, but the soft shell crab was good. I am used to a fried soft shell crab, so the unfried crab was interesting as a seafood gusher, but not so much my cup of tea. While the broth was good with the noodles, on its own it was almost too seafoody and was a bit much by itself. They have a complimentary cucumber side that I did have to ask for, but it was quite spicy, so I can see why it is something you ask for and not a standard. With all these comments, the food was flavorful and had sizeable portions. I am definitely open to trying their other menu options and am optimistic for the next visit. The atmosphere was spacious and quiet for a nice lil date night

    Davina R.

Wow! I'm already craving this ramen again! Everything was delicious. I got the seafood ramen and asked for it spicy, could have definitely been spicier I didn't get much heat, but the flavor was absolutely amazing! Our server was very sweet and gave good menu suggestions. The Inside is very cute and perfect for a date night but doesn't feel "stuck up" or like you couldn't go and be semi casual. So excited to return!

Plenty of space for parking in the back. Dark, smoky atmosphere with Asian interior designs. Perfect ambiance for BBQ! We had both Korean BBQ & hot pot, absolutely worth the price for both. The BBQ was by far everyone's favorite. We recommend the beef bulgogi, beef short ribs, and pork belly--these were the best for BBQ. Since it was all you can eat, we had a few servings of them. There was also a counter for different types of sauce one could get and a dessert section. The hot pot was great as well. We recommend the bone broth and the fish/shrimp/meatballs with it as well as udon noodles. The service was great overall. Our server was busy, but she managed to be attentive with us. We left with our belly full. We will absolutely come back.

We ordered the bulgogi, steak cubes, pork belly, spicy pork belly, beef tongue, rib meat, shrimp, creamy corn, fried buns, and a few other smaller items. The meat was all good quality! Our tables' favorite meat was the bulgogi for sure. We also loved the creamy corn and fried buns. However, beef tongue was so tough though I couldn't even bite into it (but honestly wasn't expecting to enjoy it!). The sauce bar was a fun touch to get exactly what we each liked. It was a little tricky being in a booth and getting people out to make their sauce combos though but we made it work. There is also a dessert bar but nothing was super intriguing to us and we were pretty full from the meal. The only downside was the service. Other servers seemed awesome but our waitress was totally aloof. She missed multiple orders of ours and we had to reorder those, and she acted super confused each time we had to tell her. She didn't give any direction on the process, and each time we wanted to add to the order we had to wave her down. I don't think she proactively checked on us once. A table nearby had the hotpot and that looked really good. We were intrigued and want to come back and try it. All in all, a great experience, and $31 per person for the amount of food you can rack up felt like a really good deal.

I'm Korean and love me some Korean fried chicken wings, but going here means I do not have to make them, make a mess in my kitchen, or have to spend time prepping everything beforehand. Yes, I know these are Karaage but they are very similar. I usually get the boneless wings just because I am weird and do not like having sticky fingers when I am eating, so these I can eat with a fork. The crispiness is always spot-on and I love that they give you just enough sauce to give everything a good coat and flavor but not too much that the chicken is drowning. I also really love the rice cakes that they add into the tenders and wings, it's like a nice little chewy treat to go with everything. Their fries are a LOT of fries! My wife and I have learned we can share one order of them. They have a bunch of varieties of seasonings you can add to the fries but I tend to get mine plain and just eat it with ketchup. I love coming here and their little outdoor patio is great when I want to bring my pup or just enjoy the nice fresh air as we eat our meal.

I completely agree that this isn't authentic chinese food, but approachable fusion that tries to keep it truthful to the flavors and presentation. The highlight of the meal was the peking duck, which they only have about 2 orders of a night. We snagged it immediately when we sat down and it can easily feed 4 people with the sides. The duck was juicy and cut into thick pieces, so it was more of a steak rather than a bao style that I am used to. Nevertheless, it was delicious and even warmed up well the next day. The green onion wraps were...strange in my opinion. They fell apart easily and didn't have the best flavor that complemented the duck. Overall, I would come back for the duck itself, but everything else was average or extra salty. Service was great and the staff are very attentive. Happy eating!

The vibe: It was packed at 7:15 PM on a Sunday, and they held firmly to our reservation time--which is understandable given the crowd. We took a nice stroll while waiting, so no harm done. Once seated, the service was excellent--attentive, prompt, and professional. The food: This is clearly high-end Americanized Chinese food, not authentic regional cuisine. If you go in expecting that, you'll have a better experience. The menu reads like a "greatest hits" collection--familiar dishes done with nicer ingredients and presentation. What worked well: Smashed Cucumber - A strong start. The cilantro and bean sprouts were exceptionally fresh, and the peanut finish added nice depth, though the sauce leaned a bit salty for my taste. Service and atmosphere - polished and efficient. What fell short for me: Wonton Soup - The wrappers were thicker than I prefer; I like a more delicate, translucent skin. The leek-based broth was pleasant, though. Salt & Pepper Cod - The seasoning was good, but the cod pieces were too thick, so the center remained bland. Halving the thickness would improve the texture. Mongolian Beef - Tender meat, but I wanted thicker cuts and larger onion pieces for more bite. It leaned a bit soggy for my preference. Rice Cake with Pork Belly - Pork belly was well-executed, but too many rice cakes overwhelmed the dish. The flavor leaned Korean (almost kimchi-like), which felt like a departure from the rest of the menu. Beef Chow Fun - Felt repetitive, using the same thin-sliced beef and bean sprouts as other dishes. I'd prefer charred broad rice noodlesthat are thin. These rice sticks were wide and thick,so like the cod, the center of the rice sticks were bland. I also preferred more eggs in this dish for variety. The overall pattern: Many dishes share similar ingredients and sauce profiles, which makes sense for a busy kitchen but does reduce variety across the meal. Bottom line: If you're looking for authentic, nuanced Chinese cooking, this probably isn't your spot. But if you want a polished, upscale version of familiar Chinese-American favorites in a great location, with reliable service, Dan Dan delivers that well. I personally wouldn't return, but I can see why it's popular--especially for the crowd that wants comfort food in a nicer setting.
