Wings was always my go to place for Chinese food. Years of getting food there. Couldn't say enough good things. The last order I placed was through DoorDash. We got our food. The order was a mess. It happens; I get it. I called them and asked to talk to a manager. I got disconnected. No problem. I called them back. EIGHT TIMES. No one picked up my call. I blocked my number. Surprise! They picked up on the first ring. I did get to speak to a manager. He assured me that my food would be replaced for my next order. Hmmmmm. Guess what. It didn't happen. I called and explained the situation. They said they would have me talk to the manager. No surprise! My call got "disconnected" again. I called back FIVE times from my number. I blocked my number. Someone answered on the FIRST RING! Color me shocked. NOT!!! "I'll transfer you to the manager." Disconnected. Is such a shame. I liked their food, but if they aren't willing to talk to people with concerns, I'm not interested. The last memory of the food I have from there can be said in one word: HORRIBLE!!!! read more

Since my last review Wings has new owners. I've been back multiple times since and it seems that the food is even better. It seems more fresh and the shrimp in the rice is bigger. I like to call in my order so it's ready when I arrive, but a call center type service takes the orders so sometimes they do put you on hold to ask questions about the menu. Overall this is still my go to Chinese spot. read more

We've order food from Wings for years now they have changed owners, and it was not good. I ordered sesame chicken and egg fried rice. The chicken was mushy and the rice was stale. My wife had some white rice they give you and she got sick. We threw out the remaining food. I will never order from Wings again. read more

We have been going there sine 1995. New ownership this year with more hours, menu, and price increases. We were happy to give it a try on Good Friday and were not swayed with the price increase. We hoped the recipe staples still existed however it did not. Our order was over $110 for at least 8 items - not a problem as the containers were jam packed like before. We ordered 2 shrimp fried rice, beef and broccoli, 2 szechuan shrimp, and vegetable egg foo young. Some of this order was going to my 90 year old Mom in Waukesha - she loved the old Wing's - especially the shrimp friend rice and egg foo young! None of the items were labeled so we couldn't exactly tell what they were with the exception of shrimp fried rice and egg foo young. We got something other than the beef and broccoli. All tasted different and not good. The recipes have significantly changed. Miss the old wings. Hope they will reconsider their menu. I would like to think they had access to the old recipes, if not I wish them luck but we wont be ordering again. read more

I pass by Wing's Chinese most days on my way home from work, but stopped for the first time just days ago. I had planned on getting a couple of egg rolls (their quality is how I judge Chinese restaurants), but the appetizer plate was only a few bucks more and had other items I knew I would eat so I ordered that instead of just the egg rolls. The appetizer plate came with two egg rolls, two crab rangoon, two fried shrimp, and four pieces of fried chicken. The egg rolls were meh. Yes, they were bigger than egg rolls at most other places, but they had a quality that teetered between homemade and freezer section at a grocery store. I wouldn't get them again. As you can see in the picture I'm uploading, both crab rangoon were almost completely empty. Seriously, it's not hard to screw up crab rangoon yet somehow they managed to do so. When I hear "fried chicken", I think of something like chicken wings or actual pieces of fried chicken. You know what I don't think of? Sweet and sour chicken. Like the egg rolls, the pieces were larger than usual, but calling sweet and sour chicken "fried chicken" is plain lazy. The shrimp were fine. I thought the first one was heavy on the breading and light on the shrimp. If I had to pick one of the four items as "the best" it would probably default to the shrimp since everything else was a disappointment. read more

Prices are higher, less meat in the dishes, everything tastes more "processed", we paid extra for modifications that we didn't get, and they hadn't even started the online order we had placed online 2 hours beforehand. Incredibly disappointed. Ordered for the first time since the new owners took over after hearing mixed reviews, everything was different and nothing was as good as it used to be. The potstickers might as well have been from a bag of frozen ones you can buy at a grocery store. (Maybe they actually were?) The fried rice was not nearly as flavorful. The sesame chicken was soggy and had barely any flavor. I may give them another shot but have a feeling I will be looking for a new Chinese carryout place. read more

Growing up my family lived in this area and we would get Chinese from this place OFTEN. It was always so good and I always looked forward to it. I have a lot of nostalgia tied to this place. Even now as an adult on my own I go out of my way to get Chinese food from this place specifically! The people inside have always been kind to me when I come in and order, or if I order over phone. An important part of moving to a new neighborhood is finding your reliable Chinese restaurant that you can reach for on nights where you want comfort food or just don't want to cook. Wing's is fast, good quality and the food is always fresh. I recommend calling ahead so you don't have to wait, but I've never had to wait that long anyway. I highly recommend the General and Mandarin chicken but all of their staple dishes are as you'd expect. read more

I didn't feel like doing a lot of driving for lunch so I found my self here again. I had the # 15 lunch special with chicken, chicken fried rice and two piece fried chicken. I give them props for all white meat by the way. This place is small and is only carry out with no seating options except chairs in the wait area. The Szechuan chicken is in red letters for hot but it was not hot at all. It was sweet with pea pods, broccoli, baby corn, celery, onions, carrots, all white meat chicken in a sweet brown sauce. I liked that the vegetables had crunch left in them and they were not cooked to mush. The two piece chicken was pretty good with a nice puffy crispy batter, substitute for the spring roll that I didn't like last time. The chicken fried rice was that sparse lunch special kind like most places and is really filler. My opinion is like my first review, it's close to work and is just average with the convenience factor. This place was great until they closed for awhile. Since they reopened it absolutely sucks. For example I ordered the combination chop suey which has shrimp, pork, and chicken. I could have put the total of the three on a tablespoon. $10.95 for 50 cents worth of rice. Never again. read more

Very generous portions and fast. Beef lo mein could easily serve 4. Egg rolls are just ok. Potstickers are very doughy. There is not a lot of flavor and there's some canola oil aftertaste in the fried stuff. I think it is good enough for carryout on a budget but I wouldn't order again. read more

This has became one of my favorite local spots for Chinese food recently. There is nowhere to eat in and only designed for takeout but with that aspect of it the restaurant definitely works. The food so far has been very hot and fresh and very flavorful. The picture I attached is of the combination fried rice that is very plentiful. I order from here before this but never got the time to provide a decent review. But if you are looking for delicious reasonably priced Chinese food for a night in or lunch check them out. I don't want to give this place a bad review, but the food is not very good at all. The sweet and sour pork is 20% meat, 80% fried batter. The egg roll tasted like one of the frozen kinds you get at the grocery store. The only good thing was the fried rice - it was actually pretty tasty, which is why I gave them 3 stars. We just moved in a few months ago to a house a few blocks away and were hoping that we would find a good Chinese place not too far from home. Wing's Carryout was awesome. We got a few small orders to try some different selections. Their Mushroom Beef is delicious and their sweet and sour chicken is very good. We have lived in the neighborhood for years and have ordered from Wing's since they opened. Within the last couple of months the food seems to be getting bad. Our last 2 experiences the hot pepper flakes both in the General chicken and the Singapore noodles were burnt. Also the General chicken had little chicken but a whole lot of breading balls (starch) I presume. I also was a fan of the Hong Sue shrimp which USED to have LARGE shrimp, this last time the shrimp were TINY but the same price. I do not know if they are under new ownership or are just cutting costs. This USED to be an outstanding place to order from now I have to start looking for a new place to get good Chinese from. I like this place. It's average chinese food. CONS: Alot of the entrees definitely lack in flavor and spice. I ordered some general tsos from their spicy category and asked them to make it extra spicy. It was not spicy. Like some of the other reviews stated, don't order the eggrolls. They are garbage. Pot stickers are meh at best. PROS: The food is always hot and fresh. I've never received anything cold or undercooked. The white rice is always steamy and fluffy. I've eaten here several times. Let me just say before posting this, neither of us are very picky at all when it comes to food. This was the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The King Pao chicken wasn't bad but the dumpling were completely awful- soggy, looked like wet cat food, greasy-as were the egg rolls-they were a mushy, nasty almost tasteless mess. The sweet and sour chicken was so greasy that we could only eat a few pieces before feeling sick. I would most definitely not recommend this place to anyone unless I strongly disliked said person.
