I hate myself for saying this because I represent Queens, but I loves me this spot. I get my Asian food from this spot because its clean inside. The workers don't rush you to get your order ready. A lot of spots here in Queens do that, not this place. Their Shrimp and broccoli is super fresh as well as their shrimp steamed dumplings. I was very pleased while eating because I didn't taste other items that were previously made. A lot of places I been to you taste whatever it is your eating plus a previous meal that was made. I don't want my seafood tasting like beef and broccoli, it gets very confusing. I've eaten in the location and I've also had delivery. The reason they lost a star is because the couple of times that we got take out something like rice was missing. You have to try their egg roll I think its the best in Long Island. Nothing ever feels like I am eating oil. I have yet to try their chicken wings but apparently they are good too. It's pure bliss that their portions are much bigger than other places. Had a taste for Chinese food this Friday night -ordered it via Grubhub from this restaurant. I ordered the chicken chow fun noodles- pan fried pork dumplings-in order of shrimp toast - eggplant pork in garlic sauce and Broccoli shrimp and garlic sauce with brown rice,Wonton soup. We were picking up food in the area. They deliver, but it was obviously quicker to grab it and we had some hungry people. We ordered and waited a few before heading over. The food took a little longer than expected, but the phones were ringing while we waited. I had my go to of General Tso chicken. It tasted a little different than usual. It was a browner sauce and somewhat smokey. It wasn't bad, just not the usual. The eggroll was crisp and pretty good as well. They were very friendly and told you about the price deals without being asked. Spend this much and you get soup or whatever. There are a lot of places that if you don't ask, you don't get. Whenever I go to a new (to me) Asian restaurant, I always ask for steamed dumplings, because, in my experience, if they can't make those well, then nothing else will be good. I found the "shells" to be way too doughy/gummy, and the pork was flavorless, except for the bits of parsley that kept getting stuck in my teeth. So I hardly ever write yelp reviews. I am one of those that read reviews and base my choice of going to a restaurant off of them but never write a review. I absolutely had to write a review because of the amazing service. On an afternoon after a snowy night I ordered lunch for my mom to be delivered to her home as I was at work. The delivery man got there extremely fast after placing the order and went above and beyond by helping to shovel the pathwalk for my mom. To add to it, the food was amazing. The sesame chicken was so dry and basically all air that when you took a bite it just all stuck to your teeth. This is my second time eating from Asian Garden. The first time the food was fresh and very enjoyable. This time I ask for Shrimp fried rice with stir fried string beans and shrimp as a take out order. I also ordered seafood soup. When I got home and ate my meal, I have brown rice and stir fried shrimp with string beans. The seafood soup was basically vegetable soup. This was disappointing. As a life-long New Yorker (living both in the city and Long Island, even Westchester for a short while), I've gotten take-out from a lot of different Chinese places. This is, by far, the worst Chinese take-out I've ever had. I ordered shrimp toast, two vegetable rolls, and dim sum. The shrimp toast and vegetable rolls were bathing in grease. Granted, I know these are fried items, but my god, the shrimp toast was sitting in a pool of oil, and it felt slimy and disgusting as I tried to swallow it, and the vegetable rolls were basically drooling with oil. The dim sum was okay, but the dough was undercooked and kind of rubbery. The reason I ordered from here was because the owner of a closer (and much better) take-out place had recently sold his store, leaving me to find a new regular location. Obviously I won't be ordering from here again, and unless you like drinking grease, I'd suggest anyone else stay away from it, too. Honestly, you don't need to fry your food THAT much to give it a nice, crispy texture. read more

i always get general tso's chicken, which is always really great. but this one time i decided to try with much regret the general tso'S tofu. It was like eating a balloon with a sponge inside it.it was so overly chewy and just got over fried to wear it was just the skin and no tofu on the inside. normally i love ordering from this place because it is convenient to where i live and just has really great food. this was a one time bad experience. iv been eating hear for years and have never been disappointed before this occurrence. read more
