Delightful!! This place was amazing! From the decor, to the service and the food! It was amazing! I have been driving past this place for some time and I'm happy I was able to finally try it! It was delicious! I would recommend ordering a few things and sharing it as the portions are sort of family style!

At first I was hesitant to try this place, thinking everything would be spicy and overpriced. I'm glad a friend suggested we try it because it was so good! First the restaurant aesthetically was beautiful. Very instagram worthy. The food was elevated, Mongolian and Szechuan style Chinese dishes. Peking duck here is probably one of the best I've ever had. Super crispy skin and deboned when served with traditional crepes instead of commercial buns. I highly recommend their shumai. It's pricier than standard dim sum but the quality is next level. They're almost a hybrid of Shumai and pork soup dumplings. Large and thick with filling. Cocktail menu was also decent. Service was great - attentive and hospitable. I'd recommend this spot for groups and order family style for sharing. Looking forward to going back!

This was the most delicious Chinese food I've ever had. The service is impeccable. The dining room is beautiful and I love the fact that I can actually have a conversation with my guests without yelling because the acoustics are great!

Came here for a Christmas Day dinner with my family and it was everything I could've hoped for. The service was accommodating, the location was convenient, the restaurant itself is well decorated and high end feeling without being too stuffy. Food is well priced considering the amount and quality. We kicked things off with cocktails -- my Duck Smoked Old Fashioned hit exactly right on a cold day. For appetizers we tried ever soup dumpling they had, plus the cabbage and cucumber appetizers which were so refreshing, delicious and well seasoned. We ordered a peking duck for the table and it came out crispy and moist with plenty of scallions and hoisin sauce. We also had the wild pepper shrimp which was seasoned so well, and the Mongolian beef which melted in your mouth. We ordered fried rice and chow mein which were also excellent, well seasoned and well cooked without being too salty. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for outstanding, elevated Chinese food.

Another great experience at O mandarin! My friend and I were craving duck and wanted to have an early Chinese new year celebration. We started with spring rolls (yum, nice and crispy), steamed pork soup dumplings- double yum. I had a Mai tai which was very good and she had a ginger martini she enjoyed. For entrees we had the half pekin duck which was great- nice and crispy skin- with the pancakes and not the bao buns (phew). We also had the pork belly with steamed mustard greens which was delicious. The staff is always so nice and the restaurant is beautiful inside. Can't wait to come back!

Decent string beans, very crispy duck skin. Wish they gave us the carcass though! Plenty of pancakes to make wraps. Chao mian is ok - standard, but not too flavorful The less spice fish was too mild it was missing something. Go for spicy next time. Soup dumplings were pretty good. Servers all nice people.

9/4/2022 - We had family dinner at O Mandarine Chinese Restaurant, my sister who has exceptional high end cuisine found this place the most upscale Chinese Restaurant! Luxurious ambience, attention to detail in everything, beautifully seasoned food, helpful invisible staff, fast service all determined a definite recommendation.

"Gentlemen, this is democracy manifest!", "What is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal?" Oh, Mandarin... indeed! One of my friends had been singing the praises of this place to me for a while, and I'm so glad I got to check it out. The outside sets the stage, with a gorgeous door leading to the interior which is decorated authentically. Service is super fast and friendly, and they stagger the courses as they come out. We lead with some dumplings and dan dan noodles (smash), and some sweet and sour soup. Next we had some mala soup dumplings which really highlighted the mala spice (tingly)! The half duck followed that, and this was a standout must get for me. They had little crepe like wrappers that you could make duck tacos with hoisin. Finally, we did the Dungeness crab in Szechuan sauce and veggies. Very good, flavors really sang through, but very expensive and challenging to eat. Hands down one of the best Chinese places on Long Island. Must try! Everything here just tastes better. The sauces, the proteins.

For a Long Island asian restaurant, it's pretty decent. I'd recommend the vegetable dumplings, scallion pancake bubble, twice cooked pork, and tofu casserole. Hard pass on the mayo shrimp . The shrimp had a super thick batter and way too little wasabi mayo. Overall, it was good and service was very attentive.

I loved O mandarin! That atmosphere was so beautiful and elevated. I like that their menu was on a tablet so you can see pictures of the items. Everything was delicious. The chicken was so crispy and tender, which I really loved. The staff was amazing and the manager even came around checking to see how everyone's meal was going. I would definitely go back here.

It was quite packed for a Saturday late lunch. We had a round table for 5, which kinda made it hard to talk and reach for the food. But nevertheless, the food made up for it. The menu was quite large and a good range of sichuan and simple Chinese dishes: - the Peking duck wrap was actually pretty good. The skin was crispy and the meat was juicy. It is a little expensive for the amount, but it was really tasty - the pork with bamboo shred ands bean curds was actually my favorite. It was the most consistent flavor and really good over rice - the garlic eggplant was interesting. It was garlicky but tangy and the sauce was really spicy, albeit asking for mild - the Mongolian beef was okay - the garlic rub pork ribs were meh, too much batter and deep fried a little too long making it hard to chew through the batter We were super full and still had leftovers. The waiters were quick and friendly.

Luckily, there was only a short wait for our party of two at around 12pm...but I suspect the wait can be much longer later in the afternoon or during peak dinner times. Once your number is called, you go up some stairs to the eating/tabled area. There are tables and chairs for 2, 4 and more guests throughout the large space. The pace of the restaurant is very fast...as soon as you are seated, you are given tea and your waiter comes over right away to take any order you are ready to give. Its helpful to ask for a menu while you are waiting for a table so you know what to order when asked. We had some soup dumplings as well as a (large) soup. Everything was very good and out in about 15 minutes...very fast. The soup dumplings were great...but as expected are filled with piping hot broth so be careful when eating. They have some other appetizers and dishes available. There are also some drink options including cold teas, soft drinks and beer. Overall a great experience...despite visiting on a busy Saturday, we were in and out in about 40-45 minutes. Street parking can be tough in the area but there are a few garages around...one of the more reasonable options is the garage at the Skyview shops which currently charge about $6 for up to three (3) hours and is a short 5 minute walk away.

Lava milk was nice and not too sweet and the chrysanthemum tea was a good choice to compliment the meal. We ordered the steamed pork soup dumplings. Cooked to perfection. We also ordered the half Peking duck and spicy black fish. The Peking duck was served with pancakes to wrap the duck as well as cucumber, pineapple and hoisin sauce. Duck tasted delicious not greasy at all. It was my favorite part of the meal. Spicy black fish was good as well and not too spicy. This is a high end Chinese fusion restaurant.
