What a gem and a great addition to this area! The sushi is always fresh and the service is great. I've only had sushi here so I can't speak about the entrees but I'm sure they're great too. I always get the three roll combo that comes with soup or salad for around $12. The rolls tend to have more filling than rice which I love. My fiancé and I have easily been here at least 5 times and will continue coming back often! I've gotten takeout before also which is always nice and convenient. The lacking is great and keeps the sushi from moving around a lot. One time it took about 40 mins for our takeout order to be ready and the manager (or owner maybe) brought me and all the other people waiting a drink for free which was super nice. read more

Sometimes it is the little stop center places that really impress. Finding good sushi at a reasonable price can be tricky but Asian Harbor has it spot on. The sushi is excellent and the pricing is completely fair. We only went for the sushi but judging from the other dishes coming out it looks like there is something for everyone. I loved the curry, husband tried 4 types of sushi and enjoyed them all, bulgogi wraps, spring rolls, miso soup, seaweed salad...we got a ton of food for the price, and it was all delicious. The food was good but the service was awful to start with we asked what type of sodas they served our server said she didn't drink soda so she didn't know we ordered a appetizer which had to ask for after our food arrived we asked for chopsticks to eat sushi with believe it or not and refills for empty glasses at which time she informed me she was to busy that I would have to ask someone else to help I asked can't you do that and she informed me again she didn't have time someone did help us after we asked but the best part to top the evening off we had 7 in our party so the gratuity was added to our bill to give a nice tip for very poor service I spent 150 bucks their but I think it will be awhile before they get any more of my business read more

Don't worry, my new little Mebane Asian place, word of mouth will have your tables full and our humble Mebanites waiting for the next seat. Without knowing the history of the owners or chefs, you can sense there is true culinary professionalism afoot here. Let's be honest, when you walk into an Asian restaurant in a strip mall, you expect low end furnishings and a predictable menu. Not so at Asian Harbor!! Their menu is stout, decorum exceptional, their presentation beautiful and their prices reasonable. They have a 97 health grade. Portions are smaller than we see at most Hibachi style places, but smaller portions are usually an indication of greater quality, which is the case here. Appetizer was cucumber roll, very good. Entree, we had the combination rice; steak, chicken and shrimp with rice, carrots, peas and sprouts, excellent and hibachi chicken and shrimp; this was good with large shrimp, but the sauce on the meal was a bit sweet for my liking. Wait staff was on point, friendly and professional but also home grown, like the kid down the street waiting on you. Dress is casual, but this would be an excellent spot for corporate lunches. 5 stars on all fronts. I'm proud to have this restaurant in my town. read more

We had the Korean rice bowl, it comes on a plate. I had the sushi and sashimi platter the fish was cut too thick. I ask them to cut it in half, they cut it cross wise, I wanted it thin. The larbe is chicken not pork. read more

I was so pleased to see Mebane get a quiet nice Asian restaurant. The food lives up to the standards of comparable restaurants in more metro areas which is nice for Mebane. Asian Harbor makes both delicious food and presents it beautifully. Most recently, I had the Pad Kee Mao which was delicious. The only minor ding is that I wish the portions were a little larger... but I love to eat. The staff and service were great especially considering they only opened about two weeks ago. They all seem invested in great service and making the place a success. ( I am not a Sushi person so I can't rate that but if it is as fresh as the food I had, it should be great.) read more

This place was amazing! At the end of a Food Lion strip mall, you never really know what you're going to get but this place was a really awesome surprise! We got the combo - pick 2-3 rolls with soups and salads. I added a salmon nigiri to mine. My husband got spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail and spicy salmon. The rolls were a healthy size and the fish to rice ratio was perfect! Not too much rice that the fish is drowning but enough that it becomes a true sidekick instead of the main taste on your palate. I got salmon everything (2 rolls - 1 w/ avocado, 1 without) including salmon nigiri. The salmon nigiri blanketed the rice so well, it was definitely the focal point and it tasted like it. Everything was fresh and just the right temperature. Sabian (probably not spelled correctly) was really polite. Couldn't have asked for a better server! Quiet place. Would recommend for a date night spot. Overall highly recommended. Sorry I didn't get any pictures! read more

I can only attest to the sushi. It's good. It's not the best I've ever had but it is certainly good for the area. This is an awesome new place in Mebane. We had the Flaming sushi Roll, masaman curry, and filet hibachi. The flaming roll was great, not super spicy, crunchy and fresh. The masaman curry was good, lots of vegetables and flavor. Hibachi filet was very good too, with big chunks of made to order filet and a nice selection of well cooked vegetables. Would highly recommend for Asian food in the Burlington/Mebane area. read more
