    Street tacos

Part 2 We made another trip here. I will have to say they have the best street tacos I've ever had in my life. Great hidden gem that needs to be checked out if you're a taco fan. We will definitely be back there again whenever we are in the Mebane area. Only thing I can say in the negative was all the wait staff was huddled up in a booth staring at there phones the whole time we where there. Our waitress who took good care of us was one of those in the booth. It didn't make any difference to us but some people would think that they were just sitting there not doing anything. Also they revamped the menu. Very nice and colorful. Still highly recommended you give them a try.

I am in absolute awe of this place and happy I stumbled across this local business nearby when looking on Yelp for local lunch. The decor is very lively in here. I could tell the salsa is freshly made and the blackened mahi tazon was super delicious. I will definitely be back on a busier night.

Went in for our cinco de mayo lunch and once again had a great time. Wonderful decor everywhere, great music playing, employees all very attentive and helpful. Food comes out pretty quick and is nice and hot. If you're in the mood for a carne asada then this is a great place to go. If you like choriqueso get the queso con carne, it comes nice and hot on a skillet. Marga beer was made well, and the beer pitcher was a great price on the deal they had going. Easily recommend this place if you're in the Mebane area, or even wanna drive out to try.

Super casual Mexican restaurant with Day of the Dead decorations all throughout. My husband and I had no wait for a table on a Saturday night. Everyone gets free chips & salsa. The chips were nice and hot (temperature wise). I ordered the Taco Salad. You can pick whatever protein you wanted for it, so I ordered ground beef. Overall the taco salad was good, but I had a few critiques. It came out almost immediately after ordering it, which was slightly awkward because they did not have my husband's dish sent out until maybe 6-7 minutes later. There was also way too much beef in it. My husband ordered a margarita with his meal and enjoyed that. Our server was very nice. I'd give this place another chance and order something different next time.

Hungry after a quick trip two hours away from home, this was the perfect place to fill our bellies. We were in the mood for Mexican food and IT WAS SO GOOD. I'm actually RAVING. I got the barbacoa street tacos, the brisket was perfect (you'll like these if you like birria tacos, trust me) and the nachos hit the spot. I'm jumping the gun a bit, THE SALSA WAS THE BEST SALSA IVE HAD AT A BRICK AND MORTAR PLACE IN A LONG TIME. SO GOOD. I will say I was super impressed by the lengthy menu that had a lot of authentic foods like lengua (cow tongue), and nopales (cactus.) 10/10 would recommend. We ordered online so I don't have much to say about service but everything was out by the time we walked in to pick it up. We will have to dine in next time.

While shopping at Tangler Outlet Mall, we decided to grab some Mexican food and turned to Yelp for recommendations. Catrina's Tequila and Taco Bar stood out with its glowing reviews, and I'm so glad we chose it--it lived up to the hype! The meal started with chips and salsa, which were fresh and flavorful--a promising start. We ordered the queso fundido as an appetizer, and though it wasn't the typical presentation I was expecting, it was a pleasant surprise. The sautéed onions and poblano chilies blended perfectly with the chorizo and melted cheese, creating a unique and delicious dish. For my main course, I went with the grilled chicken chimichanga. I appreciated being given the option for different styles of chicken, which was a first for me. The dish was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. To top it off, the service was fantastic. Our server was attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. If you're in the area and craving Mexican food, I'd highly recommend Catrina's. Everything from the food to the service was spot on!

This place wait staff is hit or miss. I had the good waiter again today. But the food and drink never disappoints! I had the barbacoa tacos today because I wasn't too hungry. The mango margarita is consistent! This is my spot!

How have I not written a review for Catrina's?! For starters the queso is good and the guacamole is even better! The elote is really good, I definitely recommend trying it! When I come here I always get the same thing. Not gonna lie. The margaritas are realllly good and they have em by the pitcher.. say less! The birria tacos are so flavorful and delicious. You will enjoy every bite. The service is Excellent!!! My drink has never been empty and even when they are busy food comes out pretty quickly. They have a fun festive environment that everyone can enjoy. My go to Mexican restaurant in Graham / Mebane

Catrinas does not have a great curb appeal but was very glad I went in and tried it. Hostess greeted us and sat us right away. Atmosphere was about what you would expect for a Mexican Restaurant. Music playing, Mexican themed artifacts on the walls. Noticed the bar is small but plenty of seating for dining. Chips and salsa brought right over as we sat. Waiter took our drink order and brought them right away. Waiter is efficient but not overly friendly. Started with the chorizo dip which comes out in a cast iron skillet and chips. Skillet keeps the queso warm and soft, more should do this. Ordered the chimichangas as my meal, comes with beans and rice. Great quality and a decent portion size for the price. Street tacos are excellent, no matter which meat you choose. The desserts are excellent. I recommend trying the money bag. White chocolate raspberry cheesecake cinched up in a tortilla with ice cream. I added a pic to show that off. Churros also very good. Prices at lunch are extremely reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. Do not be frightened off by the exterior, go in and enjoy.

Decent spot; "normal" Mexican style food & drink. Service friendly but a bit slow. Recommended.

We started with the Pimento Cheese Hushpuppies, which I had high hopes for. They were a bit over‑fried and dry, with more breading than cheesy center, and the jalapeño bacon jam was watery and didn't quite complement the hushpuppies. That said, the concept is fun, and with a thicker, chunkier jam, I think they'd really shine. The Fried Oysters, however, were a completely different story. Perfectly breaded, not overly heavy, and full of flavor. My husband--who's keto and peeled the breading off--still commented on how good the oysters themselves were. If anything, we just wished the portion was bigger. The star of the starters for me was the She Crab Soup. Creamy, rich, and loaded with crab. It was one of those dishes you keep going back to between bites of everything else. And here's my pro tip: dip the hushpuppies into the soup. It transformed them from dry to delicious, and I even suggested to our server that the kitchen consider offering them together. For my entrée, I had the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos with a side of pasta salad. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the Thai‑inspired sauce had a sweet kick that I honestly wish there had been more of. The pasta salad was classic but surprisingly good--fresh, balanced, and better than most versions I've had lately. My husband ordered the Salmon & Shrimp Scampi, swapping the pasta for extra spinach to stay keto. Both proteins were cooked beautifully, full of flavor, and plated generously. Overall, the meal had a few highs and a couple of misses, but the quality of the ingredients and the creativity of the menu make this a place I'd absolutely visit again. With a little fine‑tuning on a few items, 2 Twelve has the potential to be truly exceptional.

My meal, the Charleston Crab Cakes, was really good too (I asked that they put the creamed corn on the side -- the crab cakes will come on top of the creamed corn if you don't make a special request). But when (not if) we return, I will be ordering the seafood pasta for sure because it was that good! A friend recommended the pork chops and the burgers. The ambience is quaint and the indoor dining space is very small and cozy. There was a bit of a wait when we arrived. I recommend making a reservation if you don't want to dine outdoors. It was January so too cold for us to eat outdoors because there is no heating and the overhead fans were on! Also, please bring a little patience for parking because this restaurant is in an area of downtown with limited parking.
