    Sweet and soggy chicken

Do not waste your time or money. Was the only one in line took them 23min to give me my food. Ordered sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was soggy with grease and the fried rice had absolutely no flavor. Please see pic, this is what ended up in the trash. With so many better options in Springfield do yourself a favor and skip this one. Will not be back.

    Sa cha beef.... It's not.

Google sa cha beef... It's crisped beef with scallions... I got a little bit of squishy beef in a mountain of veg I hate. Resulting in beef that doesn't have its own flavor since cooked with a ton of veg. Super unhappy. If I'd known it had broccoli... I hate broccoli. Gahhh waste of food. Just a cookie cutter Chinese joint that just throws meat veg in sauce.

There seems to be a trend of new Asian fusion restaurants that have opened recently, this is one of the better ones in my opinion. Now I'm not a giant fan of the plain old Chinese restaurants that seem to be on every other block here in Springfield, but picky me really likes Asian fusion restaurants. Its clean, friendly, and fast service here, with a large menu. They offer anything from sushi, shrimp with lobster sauce, sweet and sour chicken, and just about any other of your favorite Asian dish's. The lunch special is very well priced and includes the entree, your choice of 2 crab rangoon's, egg role, or soup as an added side to the meal. It's a really nice portion of food, it all comes un-assembled so you decide how much sauce to add, which is a great touch. Also, like how they bread the chicken, it's more of a wet batter to start and fry's up nice and puffy so to say. One cool thing about the decor is the gold cat on the counter that is perpetually waving hello, really want to know where I can get one of those, lol. Give it a try for lunch, really can't beat that special, and they can be pretty busy at times, which means to me I'm not the only one who knows good food in this town.

The food was very delicious! The portions are large, and the ingredients are fresh. The environment was good and clean with a Traditional Chinese style. Comparing to other restaurants, it reminds me the flavors of my home! My American friends like the tastes too! My favorite is Mongolian Chicken~ If you are a spicy food lover, you should try.

After reading the other reviews I was so looking forward to my first time visit and am really disappointed in the outcome I got a to-go order this past Friday at 3:00 in the afternoon so they were not busy. The staff was quite friendly on the phone and when I showed up for my order. The place was clean and didn't smell like a deep fried palace as many of these operations do. My food took about 15 minutes total from the time I called which I didn't think was bad and ran about #35.00 for my order. I ordered general's chicken (my usual for a new spot), pineapple chicken, pork low mein and the steam dumplings. The portions were large but the flavor just wasn't therefor the most part. If I had my eyes closed the generals and the other chicken dish both had about the same bland flavor. It wasn't bad it just wasn't much of anything. Also I like a less breaded chicken and this had a little too much breading and not enough chicken for me. The lo mein had more flavor and a little spice but the noodles were really overcooked and mushy. The star of the meal was the dumplings which I am pretty sure were homemade. The dough was a little thick which I think would be fixed by having them fried instead of steamed but overall I would for sure buy those dumplings again. Based on all of the great reviews and the dumplings I will be back but I wont order the two chicken dishes again.

Good Chinese in a town with hundreds of crappy Chinese. We like their general tsos and crab rangoons.

At this point, we're definitely regulars. In all those visits, we've never had a bad meal or poor service....not once.....not ever. That kind of consistency is incredibly rare and difficult to maintain. The fusion dishes are some of the most thoughtfully crafted combinations you'll find, while the more traditional offerings (looking at you Unagi) take me back to my younger days bumming around Japan. The attention to detail, skill, and dedication behind everything they do feels authentically Japanese in its execution and hospitality. It's obvious they hold themselves to exceptionally high standards, and that commitment is reflected in every aspect of the restaurant. When I'm spending money on a meal, I want to know exactly what kind of experience I'm going to get and feel confident that I'll enjoy it. Ariake is one of the very few places where I never have to worry about that. The quality and experience are always outstanding.

I ordered the Tonkatsu fried pork cutlet thinking it was like traditional ramen with a meat in broth with noodles. This was not that . This was my first time visiting Springfield, and I didn't expect to find a place like this…read more The restaurant has a really fun Japanese anime vibe, with Totoro decor and even lucky cat (maneki-neko) touches throughout, which I absolutely loved. It honestly felt like the owner might be Japanese or Chinese, because the whole atmosphere was thoughtfully done and very authentic. The service staff were all friendly and welcoming, and overall the dining experience was great. We did have a delay with one of our dishes (waited over 30 minutes), but the manager noticed the issue right away, took responsibility, and handled it really well. They even offered us complimentary spring rolls, which I really appreciated. That kind of attentiveness and care makes a big difference. The food was solid and enjoyable--of course, you can't compare it to bigger cities, but for Springfield, this is definitely a great find. They also have a robot that helps deliver food, which was such a fun and unique touch. I'm here for work, traveling from out of state, and we actually ended up coming back four days in a row--which probably says everything. You can really tell the owner put a lot of heart into this place--from the decor to the overall experience. I appreciate being able to enjoy a different culture like this, especially in a smaller city. Springfield has given me a really great impression and some wonderful memories. Would definitely recommend

I see staff talking and hardly any tables occupied. I've been going here for years and I used to love this place but now it's just not worth the wait and money. That's my only problem with this place 3 tables taken in the whole place and I get my water after waiting 30 minutes after being seated, and I'm the last to be helped after bigger parties who arrived after me. When I come with 2 other people the waiters are on top of it with service but if it's me alone I hardly even see a waiter. They're chasing tippssss imo. This is just a personal opinion that doesn't contribute to my stars because I know some people find it really cool but the robot is creepy and what if someone needs to ask something when the drinks come? Can't ask a robot and then they have to wait 20+ minutes for a waiter to come by.
