Editing my review in 2022 to say that the fish is still super fresh and delicious! And I really appreciate the inexpensive prices compared to the rest of sheepshead bay! The interior of the place is beautiful! I really like the designs on the wall The miso soup is delicious and the fish was very fresh! Will definitely come again.

Ordered beef with cashew nuts dinner. Plate was all rice and vegetables, almost no beef at all. They charge $10.95 for that. Don't even want to know how much beef they would put into their lunch plate. What a scam. When I called them they did not care and said this is what you get and hanged up on me. Never order from here, just a bunch of rude scammers.

Tiramisu. It is okay. Sitting in a puddle of coffee.

This place is pretty good, just have to avoid a few dishes. Fried pork dumplings are good. Wonton soup is better than your average Chinese take out. (Wish it has a few more wontons in it). The boneless spareribs are amongst the best I have had. As for the sushi, I only had a simple eel cucumber roll but it was good. Large pieces and a higher percentage of eel than many places. Any kind of battered chicken like Sesame chicken / pineapple chicken should be avoided as its mostly batter and a bit hard. The tiramisu isnt terrible but I can't say I recommend it. It was kinda just sitting in a puddle of coffee. Needs more ladyfingers.

We Yelped sushi restaurants in the area and Asian King got some great reviews. A short walk later brought us to this local restaurant for an early dinner. We sampled several dishes including: * Scallion Pancakes $5.95 * Pork Dumpling $6.95 * Shumai $5.25 * Sake Don (not on the menu) $16.95 - see photo * And a Vegetable House Fried Rice Overall, we thought the dinner was excellent. The Sake Don was fresh, tasty and substantial. The Scallion Pancakes were outstanding, hot and very crispy. The service was friendly and very attentive (though we should note that it wasn't busy during our dinner). We would be delighted to return.

This has been my go to delivery place during the lockdown. I cant say enough good things about this place. Food always tastes super fresh. The delivery is always on time. They are really friendly on the phone. I have never had a bad experience with them.

Was in the mood for some Chinese food, and decided to give Asian King a try at the suggestion of an acquaintance. We only tried Chinese food and no sushi (plan to come back and see what the sushi is like). We ordered the orange chicken, shrimp with grilled vegetables and pineapple fried rice. The orange chicken and shrimp were delicious. However, I was not a fan of the pineapple fried rice. They used some sauce or some spices that I did not enjoy and was not what I was used to in a pineapple fried rice I usually get at various places. The service was great. The wait was definitely a little long but we were compensated with a free large sake on the house because of the wait. Also, the food came out very fresh after our wait. Will def be back to try the sushi and indulge in some Chinese again.

I like rice in my rolls. I like the rice to be a little extra but not too much. This place nails it. Not too much of rice, and rolls always taste good. So far, it is the best entry level sushi i had. I am not a fan of asian fast food, so I didn't really try anything else except their sushi. Btw , the service is outstanding.

This is the new hot spot of sheepshead bay, at least for me. Something different, sushi, Thai and Chinese all in one for all those groups with different taste, which worked out perfect today. My group of ladies tried every variety. Service was amazing, food quality was exceptional, clean and cute spot offering delivery and takeout with coupons and point cards, the works. A refreshing new spot to my neighborhood. Cant wait to go again!

Steams pork dumplings are always a hit with the kids.

The fish was very fresh and good quality. We tried the fried purple yams, fried chicken, stir fried udon, yakisoba, and a variety of sushi platters. I would highly recommend the Tokyo Don which was a variety of fish and seafood on a bed of rice. The Salmon Lover's was also excellent, and slices of fish were nice and thick. Service: Service was wonderful! Our waiter was attentive and came back to check on us throughout the meal. There's a button to press when you need service, and our waiter was always quick to come after we pressed it. Ambiance: The restaurant is a good size with tables sectioned off into small "rooms". There are two private rooms downstairs that fit about 6-7 people each. The rooms are adjoining and good for large groups. Seating downstairs is the Japanese-style tables where you put your legs into a pit under the table. Decor and ambiance is very nice, and seating is comfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant!

It was an absolute lifesaver that kept the girls happily entertained. And the food was absolutely worth savoring. We kicked things off with a round of handrolls--salmon avocado, spicy salmon, and yellowtail--which were perfectly crisp and packed with fresh fish. I went all in on the Salmon Lovers set, and it was an absolute dream. It came with a massive, beautiful spread of salmon sushi, seven thick pieces of melt-in-your-mouth sashimi, a salmon avocado roll, a bright kani salad, and a really savory piece of grilled salmon. We also shared the Ysukiji sushi platter, which featured a gorgeous, high-quality assortment of cuts, while the Smoked Chicken bento box was a huge hit, offering fantastic cooked flavors and generous portions. The room we were in mimicked a traditional Japanese room where everyone had to sit on the floor and put their legs under the table. It was fun for the younger people but it was difficult for the elders to sit down and get back up. Between the incredibly fresh sushi and the warm hospitality that kept the whole family smiling the entire time, this spot easily earned five stars. We can't wait to come back!

The amount of noodles is decent and the toppings are pretty good the egg actually come with both half's rather than one like some places so that's good, my only gripe is that the cha siu isn't heated through after being served which tells me that they didn't torch it for long enough before serving. That usually also makes it less tender as the middle is still a little coagulated from being chilled prior. I would also assume that chicken broth is less calorie dense than pork so I also felt less guilty drinking it all. The table barely fit all the dishes so they had to remove the condiment tray to make space but it's not ideal with the squirming kids. I suggest changing some of the plate sizing to better fit the tables. The condiment tray have 4 sauces available: ketchup, sweet & sour sauce or is it sweet chili sauce?, hot sauce and low sodium soy sauce. They also do not provide the claypot sweetened soy sauce. The only soy sauce available (is low sodium) but that makes the dish saltier. Great service and good food. The baked rice dish- do not recommend. My friend said HK Tea is better. The sizzling platters are soo goood. Of the claypot rice, the classic pork ribs is the best. Chicken one was too dry for hubby's taste. The HK milk tea taste malty which one of us enjoy and another did not. Their regular rice plate portion size is abit small. The noodles are abit bland if you order that instead of rice to go with the sizzling plate. Veggies are just steamed and healthy but wish they were seasoned. We ordered (right to left, top to bottom in my pic): dragon, Hawaii, white Russian, Brooklyn, spider Favorite was the white Russian maybe because the tuna on top was torched. The menu didn't note that. Least favorite was either the Brooklyn or Hawaii. General comment on all of them is that they skimp on ingredients. My photo doesn't show their cross section but basically the ingredients are not well balanced on the insides. The seafood is always the least represented ingredient. If you look at the Brooklyn roll (shrimp, kani, tempura crunch), the insides are 80% tempura crunch, 10% shrimp, and 10% kani. The spider roll should be a whole soft shell crab fried and rolled in. The batter was twice the thickness of the crab. I miss the way Wasabi has thick crab meat and it comes out piping hot. Another general comment that I find is an issue across all Brooklyn sushi places is that the rice isn't tart at all. It didn't come out hot but at least it wasn't dry and hard. I like how their menu has pictures of all rolls, but most didn't appeal to us for some reason. Wasabi's presentation is much better. I also like how Wasabi's menu would tell you which items are cooked. That's helpful for those who don't want to eat raw fish. Service was good. We were in and out of this place in 30 min. I joked we can go back to Wasabi for sushi part two. The lady was diligent about filling our teacups even though we needed refills two minutes apart from each other. Good that tea was hot. Dipping their toes in so many different arenas might actually be their detriment because they're going for everything while not excelling in most. I would rather they cut down on some dishes and make sure all are great instead. I absolutely love their Thai fried chicken, which is so affordable (8 pieces for $12), and tastes so crispy on the outside but so moist and flavorful on the inside. It comes with a tangy fish sauce, but you can add different green curry and/or red curry for 50 cents each. I like it best with the fish sauce. However, that's the Thai fried chicken is the only dish I absolutely love from this place. Everything else is very mediocre, which is unfortunate. 6 rolls bento - $15; comes with california roll, spicy tuna roll, lobster salad roll, salmon avocado roll, eel cucumber roll, shrimp tempura, kani salad, seaweed salad, and fried chicken. It's a lot of food for $15, and the sushi actually tastes decent. The kani salad, seaweed salad, and fried chicken are just tiny portions, but the fried chicken are like nuggets and taste really bad. 4/5 Mushroom noodles - $10; It's so rare to find such affordable e-fu noodles but sadly, it tastes nothing like what e-fu noodles should taste like. I wouldn't even know that they're supposed to be e-fu noodles if I just blindly tasted. I would not get this again here. 3/5 Pad see ew beef - $13; Again, like the mushroom noodles, it didn't taste like pad see ew. It's missing that sweetness and charred factor that's usually present in pad see ew. 3/5 Pad Kra Pao (??) - I can't remember if it's this dish that I got, but it was some type of Thai rice dish with a meat sauce. It was so terrible, I only ate 10% of it and didn't take it to go. 1/5 Pad thai - I didn't try it but my friend got it and the color looked really off. Aside from the food, there are other improvements to be made here. It seems like a family-run restaurant, with only two workers facing the customers. It's really hard to get their attention when the restaurant is busy. The space is very tight and looks like it could be more well-maintained. They also need more menus.
