My favorite sushi spot in Sheepshead Bay Area. The service is ok, I can't say it's great, but food is amazing! I love it! Everything is always fresh and delicious.

Came here on a Saturday evening, and were really surprised as it was almost empty. And it's really rare when you got an empty place on a Saturday evening especially in Sheepshead Bay. Anyway didn't want to leave. The service was very good, the waiter came up to us very quickly and the order was ready quickly too. But I didn't like food there. We ordered few special rolls, very bland, tasteless and rice felt not fresh for some reason, regular rolls were fine, fried rice was tasteless as well and dry, and chicken pieces were huge. The only thing that was really tasty was Tango spicy tuna apetizer.

My first to go neighborhood sushi place. They have many options from Malaysian cuisine that satisfy me pretty much all the time . Today it is my ramen with beef

Some of the best sea bass I have ever had. It was so tender and caramelized to perfection. Will definitely come back to get some more again. I have also ordered sushi from this establishment before and I love it.

The hot fried oysters appetizer and the cucumber avocado (w shrimp, seaweed and tobiko) salad were very stellar. The calamari was a bit over fried and not memorable. The sushi lunch was ok.

Came in for the last time tonight... the service was so awful. If you've ever seen my review of the Cheesecake Factory, this was a close second. We tried to order tea and food from the menu such as a party platter and the waitress came back TEN minutes later to tell us we can't order that. Still no drinks at this point. Finally we order and more time passes we finally get our tea. About twenty minutes pass and our waitress has passed us plenty of times and finally we were able to flag her down for more tea. This happened multiple times as the night went on she'd pass us and not say a word or update on the food or ask if we wanted refills. About an hour passes and we asked her where the food was and she seemed shocked. People were sitting down after us and leaving before us. When we ordered the food I asked for spicy Mayo. Didn't come with the food so I had to wait another ten minutes for her to pass us again. Don't get the Coney Island roll. Immediately we ask for the check. We just don't want to be sitting around for another hour to get it. Waitress seems shocked that we were so eager to leave. We pay but I go to use the bathroom where I was greeted by a cockroach.... Not the kind of company you want at a restaurant. Tonight was the reason I will never come back after so many positive experiences.

Always a local favorite, both for dining in or ordering take out Volcano salad is a staple and the rolls and sashimi always taste fresh. Loce the recent expansion and renovation

One of the best spots to get sushi in the neighborhood. I visited this place twice in one month and I was very satisfied with the service and food. Sushi is delicious and reasonably priced (07/2021). The platter for two is a very good deal and portion sizes are generous. Added a few A la carte sushi/sashimi to the order and it did not disappoint. The otoro sushi was a bit on the pricy side ($9 a piece). The regular rolls are a great price and a good filler if you're not full. Used to go to the all you can eat sushi spot ( Shinjuku -down the road) but I'd rather spend my money here. The price for two comes out to about the same in both spots but here the quality is much better and we're still full at the end of the meal. Expect an average about $40/person. This will be my regular go to sushi spot in the area.

I used to frequently dine here years ago. Didn't get a chance to write a review til now. I had the sushi pizza which was $10. It had tuna avocados masago spicy mayo and sweet sauce on it. I also really like the lunch specials. I usually get lunch c which you get a special roll along with a regular roll and a side of soup or salad for $12. I usually pick yellowtail with jalapeño and paradise roll. It has shrimp and lobster in it along with bananas wrapped with soy paper. It's really good. I never had a problem with service here and I only had sushi here although they have Thai and Chinese dishes too.

Decided to give this place another try and went with my daughter and grandkids. She insisted on Mitushi next door but I said let's give them another chance, which I lived to regret. Seeing we had kids and informing them that kids are hungry the waitress brought my order then my daughter's. We couldn't eat cause we had raw fish and kids eat cooked food. I asked when kids' food will come and did she think that maybe it would've been better to wait with our food since we can't eat it anyway. Took another good 10 minutes to get kids' order. The service was awful and the food is not as good as it was when they first opened. I would think that with Mitushi next door they'd try harder but I see they don't care about service or food quality. Never again!

Beautiful presentation, I've never seen soy sauce art like this hahaha

My husband and I came here early on a weeknight and we had a great dining experience from start to finish. The sushi is some of the most delicious you can find in Sheepshead Bay, and really reasonably priced. We had the American Dream roll, rainbow roll, and an assortment of regular rolls. The presentation is amazing! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Since the renovations done. The restaurant is large and so plenty of room for social distancing. Nice ambiance. Would highly recommend.

The summer roll has the right amount of spring and always lots of noodles and lettuce. The spring rolls always arrive still hot and still so crispy and good. The pho will come separately, a container of the soup and then another container of everything else. The soup would always still be hot! I always pour the soap into a bigger bowl that I have and then put everything else in. It never disappoints!

You know when a place has a limited menu they take care of all their foods. We ordered a pork bahn mi and a chicken bahn mi. An order of pirk dumplings and 2 drinks. The lychee drink and the taro milk drink with boba. The taro drink was creamy and light when drinking. The lychee drink was like a lychee flavor soda but so refreshing. Definitely get the lychee if you are unsure as that is what the worker recommended when i asked. The dumplings were small but yummy with their homemade sauce. I wish they were bigger but no other complaints. The bahn mi's were delicious i got the prok and the flavoring were juicy with their homemade sauce pickled carrots and cucumbers slices balancing it out. The bread was so crispy i throughly enjoyed. I will stop by again another time for the delicious Pho smell that was at the restaurant.

There were 10 of us, so we ordered a variety of Chinese dishes. Overall the food wasn't bad, but nothing amazing. We got about 7 dishes and a soup, and the bill came out to around $413. The most expensive item was our soup. They recommended and we ordered not knowing it was $98, but that was our fault for not asking. To be fair though, the soup was quite delicious and I had two bowls.

This newish restaurant has been opened for about half a year and from the outside you wouldn't know…read moreit's a decent Cantonese restaurant unless you spot the minimal signage. It's in a quieter area of Boro Park surrounded by residences and commercial warehouses and auto shops. Yet I wanted to try it for months. So we did try it especially as they have a lunch special everyday from 11am to 3pm which offers a starter of their house soup with all the fixings - spare rib, fresh chicken, mushrooms, a abalone as well. While not like most other restaurants which their house soup is left over bones and odds/ends with a heap loud of msg. Then 3 main dishes of your choice from their lunch special menu which has over 20 dishes for you. Plus a bowl of their white rice for each person. Even a simple bowl of white rice was amazing - it's a mix of different rices which presents very nicely - each grain stays individual, long, fluffy, and great texture. The main dishes do not disappoint- fresh, flavorful, well balanced, and with wok hay. We've now eaten there a handful of times for lunch and even with other friends/family - everyone agrees the food and preparation is excellent. Everyone says they would come back. Then if you take into account the lunch special deal for $30 this is an amazing meal that feeds your taste buds and stomach yet your wallet praises you. I have read some reviews giving 1 star with comments about long wait for dim sum, dim sum being average at best, and bad manager/servers etc. I have these observations to share - Dak Sing Palace has a small dim sum menu maybe a dozen or less items and they are not a dim sum restaurant so they likely don't produce dim sum fresh daily. Likely their dim sum is frozen and reheated. Thus the wait time and average dim sum. Bad manager/servers - this is not uncommon at Chinese restaurants it is almost expected to have to deal with this to some extent. My own experiences here every server does do their job maybe some without a smile but we have had excellent servers with a smile and small talk also. If you have any reservations about trying Dak Sing Palace due to how the appearance may seem, or reviews on the service, or dim sum then I say Just Go! And try using their lunch special for $30! You won't be disappointed.
