I ended up getting the fire noodle bowl which wasnt too spicy except at the bottom where the thai chilis were hiding Haha. I thought the noodles were a bit dry and not too flavorful but the skewers were amazing. The steak and shrimp were grilled so well and sometimes I wish it wasn't so pricy cause I would definitely add more protien. I think mainly the high price is what keeps me from coming back too often. Red curry bowl is the go-to entree for me. It has a good flavor. The restaurant is a self service order that will slow you to customize your dish with add-ons (meat, extra veggies and herbs). Wow I don't know if I would've tried this place if it weren't for a Yelp event, but I am so glad I did! I was thoroughly impressed! To start off, outside the entrance they had a guy grilling meat skewers on a little grill, which I thought was pretty neat! Everyone was super friendly and helpful! I ended up getting a fire noodle bowl with steak skewers, and my friend got a pad thai with chicken skewers. For drinks I got the Thai tea, and she got kombucha (they sell Holy Kombucha). Overall the food is very delicious and flavorful here! I also appreciate that they mark whether their food is GF or not! The aesthetics are on point and service is great! Parking lot can get a little full but didn't have trouble finding two spots! Definitely get the meat skewers with your bowl or salad! Definitely the star of the meal! Both skewers were tender, juicy, and super flavorful! I would come just to get the skewers! The only thing I would add is I wish the skewers were just a little hotter when served. We thoroughly enjoyed eating at EnjoyMint! The restaurant was super clean and staff was friendly and very helpful. After walking in, stay to the left, this is where you order your food. They have display screens where you place your order (it's similar to the ones at Panera). Staff was readily available to help us with this process. First pick a bowl, then pick a meat, then customize your bowl. The back of the menu has lots of yummy items to add on! We ordered the grilled chicken pad Thai bowl and the beef fire noodle bowl (we added a fried egg). No table service. After ordering, get your silverware, napkins, and any spices you want to add to your dish! Pick a table and they will bring you your food. Grilled chicken pad Thai: I love how the chicken comes out on skewers with grill marks! Under all of the bean sprouts was a beautiful bowl of pad Thai! From a presentation standpoint, I would say either put the bean sprouts on the side or under the noodles (they are not the most appealing thing to look at!). When I got my dish I couldn't even see the pad Thai bc it was covered in bean sprouts! No big deal I just took them off ( they are not my favorite anyway!). The pad Thai had chopped peanuts, chives, cilantro, and tons of flavor! The grilled chicken added a really nice touch to the dish! Very yummy. Beef fire noodle bowl: my favorite!! This was such a good choice! Tons of flavor, color, and freshness. The beef might have been my favorite. It was thinly sliced and also came out on a skewer. The beef was grilled and seasoned so deliciously. I would have taken home a to-go order of that beef all by itself!! For dessert: they sell macaroon ice cream sandwiches made by "Joy". They looked too pretty not to try! We got the cinnamon one. It tasted like a snicker doodle. I really enjoyed the texture of a giant macaroon with ice cream! I love Thai food and I always pass this place when I drive to school. I've always wanted to try it and I did last week! I ordered the Fire Noodle Bowl with Fried Chicken. My bowl looked very pleasing when it came out. The noodles were kinda soggy but I could still eat it and the fried chicken was good. One thing I liked about this place was that their cups didn't include straws to better the environment! The service was great and the staff was very friendly. As my friend and I were looking at the menu for the first time, the lady greeted us with excitement, helping us order. The place is clean and it's spacious so you won't have to worry about not finding a seat. Wow, just wow! EnjoyMint has only been open for about 5 months & has definitely hit the spot. The self-ordering kiosk are definitely becoming a thing & it allows customers to be interactive. Guess what else?! They have free Wi-Fi -- might not seem like a big deal but if your bringing the whole family in hook the kiddos up to play games on their tablets to keep them occupied when they get bored. They even have baby high chairs for the little ones to eat in. Food: Fire Noodle Bowl w/grilled chicken, double Thai herbs minus the peanuts -- my first bite was like POW & i mean a punch of spice but I wanted more ironically. With that being said, be mindful of the Thai chilies, push them bad boys to the side unless your heat level is high. The grilled chicken was cooked to perfection & all the added herbs were refreshing. My one piece of advice would be to put more sauce in the bowls. Fried dumplings -- the dumplings had a nice crunch & tasted just right. Drink: Hibiscus Sangria Kombucha -- OMG! For a person who loves Kombucha this really spoke to my soul. It was so good I had to go back. The staff was really helpful from them moment we walked in. We walked in the wrong door. Make sure you go in through the door that says entrance because they have a flow set up. You walk in and the menus breaks things down for you before you put your order in on an tablet. I got the firenoodles with beef and a thai tea. Both items were yummy! The thai tea may be too sweet for some, but I enjoyed it. The fire noodles had a good level of spicy and was not overbearing. I like that the noodles are super thin, and the sauce that they were in was flavorful. The bowl came with broccoli and bean spouts, and it was a good portion size. Interesting place, went there for lunch today at noon on a Saturday & not a lot of folks there. FOOD: This is essentially a self-serve kind of place (more on that later). I ordered the peanut basil / jasmine rice bowl with "barbecued" shrimp. My daughter ordered the Pad Thai with "fried chicken". First, portions were generous and beautifully presented. The food itself was very good. I would not have called my shrimp "barbecued", just grilled. Same with the "fried" chicken, which was lightly fried likely in rice flour. Tasty, but not what we associate with fried chicken. Definitely healthier versions of all choices on the menu. ATMOSPHERE: The restaurant is clean, modern and sleek, but seems more functional than esthetic. I couldn't shake the idea of eating at the old "automat's" in New York, where you plug in your money and pull out a dish. You enter the restaurant and can have essentially no human interaction until they bring the food. No one actually "waited" on us. SERVICE: Essentially none. We never had anyone come by and ask how the food was, can we refill your drink? I was questioning why I added a 20% tip on a lunch that ran $30! I came here on a Friday around 5:15 pm. There was plenty of seating and no wait. I believe this restaurant has been around for about 6 months and is currently on its way to establishing itself in the area! Food: They have a large selection of Thai food - appetizers, soups, salads, noodles. I ordered a pad thai with beef. They also had plenty of spices and sauces with a guide on which condiments to put on what dishes. The noodles were cooked perfectly (I HATE when they're soft and overcooked). The flavoring was well-done without that bleh oily taste you're often left dealing with when eating cheap Thai food. The beef came out on skewers. My only complaint with the beef was they were mildly undercooked (medium rare-ish), which I had no problem with, but I could see some more cautious carnivores not appreciating. The portion size was sizable, just enough for my stomach to say "yes you ate, but another 5-6 bites of something would be perfect." Service: You order electronically on an iPad. There is a worker there to help people or answer any questions. You get a number and they bring the food out to you. FYI they do NOT take cash. They are COMPLETELY electronic. Atmosphere: Very modern feel. Imagine a hip coffee shop with a lot of natural lighting that serves Thai food instead of coffee. I actually sat around and did some work on my laptop. (They actually have very fast Wifi?) Parking: Plenty right in front. Most of their entrees are priced at $10. No additional charge for chicken, but my beef skewers cost an extra $2. For some tasty, non-oily Thai food, I'm not complaining, but I wish I was a smidge more full after finishing that meal. This is such a modern and casual restaurant that's perfect for a date! I came here with my boyfriend for dinner on a Saturday and we were immediately seated. Our server treated us very kindly the whole evening. Unlike some other Thai restaurants, the menu here is concise which was perfect for me--otherwise I would have spent an hour just choosing a dish! We started with the Fried Vegetable Egg Rolls which were nothing short of delicious. For my dish, I went with the Original Pad Thai while my boyfriend ordered the Red Curry. Food came out quick and looked really appetizing. The Pad Thai is plated in a huge dish so it looks like you get a small amount, but it's actually a lot! It was a great dish, but was on the sweeter side (so if you like sweet Pad Thai, this is for you). The Red Curry I fell in love with! Perfect balance of savory with the sweet coconut milk. We decided on Asian Mint because my husband had an elite week $20 off. This was a newly opened one. Everyone was nice and helpful. Even the other waiters made sure we liked our food and had plenty of water. I had the teriyaki salmon with veggies. I loved the sweet peapod and carrots. The broccoli I would have liked a little more cooked. The salmon was great. Towards the middle I would have liked it more cooked but it was very much comfort food. Having the salmon and the thai tea was a great cooler night meal. Definitely a place to come back to. I bet the hot green tea with the salmon would have been an awesome meal too. I went for lunch today and had a great experience with them. Their employees are super friendly and made sure we can get all our questions answered. I saw the reviews about the cucumber in the water but we didn't get any cucumber in ours. So I asked about it and the server took it and brought back with a cucumber slice in it. The server checked with me if I liked it and I told him it was refreshing and made it better in my opinion but maybe he could check with customers because I know many of my friends hate cucumbers and would've hated the flavor you can definitely taste. We started with the summer rolls as our appetizer. Sadly, I found a piece of hair as I bit into my last piece :( I told the server about it and he apologized and took it to the manager. She came to apologize shortly after and offered everything on them and told us to order whatever else we wanted. I was so happy to see how quickly they responded and how well they managed the whole situation :) and YES, who doesn't like free food? We had the pad kee mow and massaman curry for our main dishes. I got the spicy level "hot" and it was spicy. I was thinking of trying "thai hot" but it would've been too spicy. I think I'll actually go with "medium" next time though because it kind of killed the pad kee mow flavor that I like. Get "mild" if you can't handle spicy because this dish is already supposed to be spicy. We really enjoyed the massaman curry! It was soupy and the portion of rice was kind of little compared to amount of curry but it wasn't that it was not enough. To finish, we ordered the green tea cake and the server asked "that's all?" haha I thought that was cute because I guess I could've gotten more since everything was free for us. This review is based on a single visit. That visit was 3 1/2 stars but I rounded up because they are interesting, have a ton of potential and what was good was really good. The patio and window seats are beautiful. The furniture is functional and cool. They have an open, large space and I like not being crowded. There's a selfie station, if that's your thing. It can be a little confusing at first. You have to enter from the left where you can look at the menu (either paper or screen) and then order at the front counter. While we dined, half the people coming in tried to use the door on the right, which I almost did as well. I saw reviews stating you enter your own order, but I didn't know that at the time. There was a gentleman at the counter who stared blankly at us and didn't say anything, that was weird and uncomfortable. However, the friendly manager swooped in and explained things to us, but she entered the order for us. I was completely shocked that they don't accept cash! Come prepared! They have local sodas (Oak Cliff Beverage Works) and unsweetened flavored teas you help yourself to. It was my first time trying this brand and I really liked my lemonade. My husband tried several sodas and said they were both good, including the no sugar/diet option. They have environmentally friendly lids but you can request a straw if needed. Help yourself to silverware, to go containers and sauces here. They bring the food to your table and bus the table as well. The bowls are $7.95 and are a fair portion for the price. The bowls are heavy, I think the portion needs a little more protein in order to consume everything in your bowl. Neither of us finished our bowls and we left full. They have a small appetizer menu as well. The sauces I tried are a bit unusual and not what you necessarily expect. For example, the sweet and sour is extremely sweet. The peanut is oddly bold and strong, without any hint of sweetness or peanut. I think you need to leave expectations at the door to enjoy this place to the fullest. The dumplings were delicious!! They were vegetarian with just tofu, mushrooms and veggies, but were so flavorful! If you want an appetizer, I recommend those! The bowls had some hits and misses. My jasmine rice was fine, but a little dry. My husband's fried rice was mushy and extremely salty. I plan to stick with jasmine rice or a salad in the future. Also, I didn't care for my sauce so I think I would build my own bowl next time. However, the proteins shined and the veggies were very fresh! I enjoyed my chicken, it was quite good. The star of the show was the beef. It was exceptionally flavorful and I was mildly jealous of my husband, lol! Reminds me of those Asian eateries with hip urban music that you can easily find in NYC, except it is more spacious. Very good for singles, families or a date. Love the build your own bowl concept. I decided on the Fire Noodle Bowl with beef and a Thai tea. *People from far and wide, let my praises of this Thai tea resonate deep in your soul! I have tried numerous Thai teas from the East coast and here in Texas. This is the BEST one I've ever tried to date (and that says a lot coming from me because I am lactose intolerant and only try Thai teas and recommend them when I feel like they are worthy of my physical discomfort that follows afterward lol). I tend to like my asian food more on the spicy side. The Fire Noodle Bowl did not disappoint. Initially, I was eating from my bowl and I felt like there wasn't enough spice in it. I made the mistake and added some of their chili sauces that they have readily available to customers. Little did I know that once I mixed up my noodles with the sauce at the bottom of the bowl would I unleash the molten lava heat from my meal. SMH. Poor life choice on my part, but guess what, I ate it anyway because it was that delicious! ;-D The beef skewers were medium rare and seasoned to perfection. What a wonderful and cute restaurant! I came here for a yelp event and was blown away at the interior design. Its modern, relaxed yet inviting. My friend and I were immediately greeted by a server who informed us about the whole menu and how everything works. I ended up getting a fried rice bowl with tofu. I asked for it to be vegan and gluten-free. They have gluten free soy sauce. The fried rice was so sweet which threw me off. I didnt particularly like it because it tasted like sweet and sour sauce and I asked the server why it was sweet and she informed me it was the "gluten-free" sauces which didnt make sense because gluten free soy sauce isn't sweet. Anyways I won't be ordering that again. My friend got the pad thai with beef skewers and she said it was very Americanized. The service was great but the food was just okay. As a rule, I'm not a huge fan of the whole "build your own bowl" kind of establishments unless they're fast food, but EnjoyMint seems have a foot in both camps. They offer customization on top of presets meals, which is nice. The upside is that you can sort of make the dish your own. The downside is that the end product may not always blend well together since the add-on ingredients were clearly cooked separately and just thrown on top at the end. For an example, I ordered a red curry and wanted fried chicken to go on it. In all fairness, both tasted really great, but there was a disconnect between the chicken and the rest of the curry dish because it hadn't had a chance to marinate in those flavors. It was merely cooked on its own and placed on the side of the dish. However, even though the flavor might not have been a perfect blend, the portion sizes were substantial enough to fill me up (which is pretty rare with Thai restaurants), so it compensates on that end. I'm pleased that they don't try to charge customers the same price that an all-out Thai restaurant would charge (each dish here runs ~$10, but the add-ons can make your bill run up pretty quick -- excellent business model, by the way). I like the menu's diversity even though I'm skeptical of how they might pull all of those flavor complexities off with seemingly the same cookie-cutter chicken skewers, etc. One huge plus is their vast selection of drinks! They've got really interesting beers and other Thai beverages in a cooler. PLUS, their water is top notch. It's like... cucumber mint flavored. Amazing. It's really nice to not have the only drink options be generic domestic beer or diabetes-inducing soda. All in all, it kind of reminds me of a Chipotle for Thai food. I won't frequent this place nearly as much as I would Chipotle, but I might find myself here ever now and then! read more
