Surprisingly good Thai spot in the Richardson / Garland area. The portions are generous and the flavors are good. Curry is legit the biggest portion I've seen at a restaurant. I've only had the Thai stuff but there's also pho and a bunch of seafood boil options. Menu is vast is all I can say lol. The standout dish you have to order is the crab fried rice. The real crab flavor shines through and it was the most surprising dish and is the reason I will come back. Papaya salad, curry, pad Thai are all standard and hit the cravings if that's what you want. I usually think most Thai spots are similar but Yummy Thai seems to have some tricks up its sleeve if the crab fried rice is an indicator. May need to explore the menu to see what other dishes are hidden gems. It seems like a lot of the customers are regulars which is a green flag for me. Hopefully I can become one too read more

Wow, We love to support local...but we couldn't even finish our food due to the lack of quality!!!! This is Not Thai food by any stretch. I ordered shrimp pad Thai and it's the worst I've ever tasted, cause it wasn't eaten cause you would have to consume the food...which we didn't. Ordered 4 spice, not spicy. The peanuts were wet and nasty. The green onions old. The shrimp overcooked and old also, rolled tight like a rubber band. My hubby's yellow curry with chicken was thin like water, not creamy at all. It had no coconut taste, tasted like canned evaporated milk. Little chicken, hardly any veggies, no peas which the menu stated it included. They made us pay for food we didn't consume. Take note of the pictures. Oh, and my entree came out without my hubby's food, 15 minutes later his came out. The plastic containers that housed the jalapeños and chili crisp oil were sticky & dirty. The rooster sauce was watered down also. Richardson has so many better places to eat Thai, just not here. No one should have to pay for food they couldn't eat!!!!!!!!! Wow! Just wow! LITERALLY THE BEST THAI FOOD IN DALLAS. First off I came because I needed soup when I was sick and I order Tom Kha and let me just say I was not sick the next day after eating that meal. Today I actually got to sit in and experience everything they had to offer. And they did not disappoint, everything was clean and extremely delicious, I was so full and didn't want to stop eating. Price was great, left full and still had left over for 25$ service was good, super fast cooks. Ambiance was clean, quiet and super pretty inside. We went to try to eat here for lunch. I ordered their Shrimp Pad Thai Lunch and wifey had Fried Swai fillet with chili sauce on the side. They're both delicious. My food was amazing. Great flavor, great value. At first I thought I was in the wrong place, it didn't feel like a Thai place. Sign on wall was selling Market price fish, and an Indian guy was working the counter. But to my surprise the food was amazing. I had Tom Yum Gao Lao #53. Good authentic Thai food! We had the Chinese broccoli with Crisp Pork Belly. It was very close to what we had in Bangkok! Very impressed. The restaurant is spacious and very clean. We were in the mood for Thai food so we sought out a restaurant nearby in Richardson. The amount of dishes on the menu are quite impressive and almost overwhelming when figuring out what you want to order. We didn't stray too far from our favorites and we weren't disappointed. We started with the Vietnamese spring rolls. Their size was some of the largest rolls I've seen! They had great flavor. We both ordered Pad See Eiw with different proteins. I went with tofu and my husband went with chicken. The portion sizes were generous. I had plenty for dinner and then lunch the next day. We'll definitely be back and we'll see if we venture out for something different when what we had was so good! read more

let me just say, I'm lazy when it comes to food reviews but Yummy Thai is my go to Thai spot and deserves a review. If 10 stars was an option I would have chose that instead of 5. I got the Pad See Ew and they always make sure you get what you paid for. I can never finish it and always have left overs for later. Literally two meals in one. The flavors are *chef's kiss* the staff is so friendly and welcoming. I never received my meals without missing utensils and always have plenty of napkins. Amazing. A+++ Thai food, beef Pad See Euw in particular, let me explain. I used to live in Kansas City, which has some of the best Thai food randomly... one place in particular there called "Thai Place" is one of my favorite restaurants in the world because of their beef pad see euw. Since leaving KC, I've lived in NYC and Uptown Dallas and have tried 20 different Thai restaurant's beef pad sea euw looking for one that competes with KC's Thai Place over the years... only to be disappointed every time. Thai was one of my favorite types of food when I lived in KC, but I started to not even like Thai and was about to give up trying new places. Until today. We just moved to the area and nothing sounded good and saw Yummy Thai was close by, so checked out the pad see euw on the menu and saw it comes with Chinese broccoli (*which is key to a good PSE dish) so gave it a shot. The second I saw it, my hopes went up immediately. It looked and smelled a lot like my favorite place in KC's PSE. Still expecting to be disappointed though, took my first bite... and BAM. After years of looking for another fire Pad See Euw that competes with one of my favorite dishes of all time, I finally found it! Almost an exact match to KC's Thai Place, except maybe better bc there's a little extra of a certain spice or the Chinese broccoli might be fresher, making the whole dish pop... not sure, but it was f-ing delicious. Best part is... it might be able to get even better if I can add mushrooms to it, which I usually like in the dish. But either way, we'll be back just about every week. read more

Went to Yummy Thai again today and had another winner. Last time I went we tried Long Life Noodles with fried tofu. It was really good. This time we tried Pad Cashew with pork. It was yummy for sure. Just the right crunchiness on the veggies and number three hot was perfect. As always the jasmine rice was fragrant and tasty. They had the take out ready pretty quickly and everyone was friendly and remembered me. There were a bunch of patrons having great food. All in all another great visit. We will be going back soon. I went to Yummy Thai with 2 friends, it was a Wednesday so the restaurant was not full. We ordered drunken noodles with shrimp, Tom Kha soup and Chicken fried rice. The drunken noodles were delicious, the soup too was good, but the fried rice was not spicy, even though we asked for a level 5 spice, but it was tasty. The service was nice and the person waiting on us was polite. The ambiance on Wednesday night was not evident, maybe the weekend would have more customers. read more

I try curry from every local place I can find it. The curry is good here but $19 for a green curry with beef is INSANE and the lady that's there often (the manager?) is gruff. Plus they charge $4 plus tax for a tiny drink to-go! The best place I've found is Bangkok at Beltline. Their curry is only $14 and it's better quality. I'd eat here more often and try more menu items but they need to lower their prices and hire friendlier staff. Especially because they just opened. There are too many better priced options in this area for this to fly. read more
