My wife and I have eaten at a variety of restaurants and cafes in Gardner, KS over the last two years but we weren't at all familiar with Asian Moon until a few days ago when a local resident mentioned (and recommended) it. We tried it yesterday and I can assure you we will dine there again. The facilities are inviting and very clean (even the restrooms are unusually clean). The staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is huge and the food is superb. My only complaint is that their hot tea costs $4 which I find a little excessive -- for a pitcher of hot water and a Walmart brand tea bag. Still, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Asian delicacies of all kinds. read more

While in town for the holidays, we stopped by for dinner on a Monday night and it wasn't busy. It is located in a strip mall and there little parking out front. There's a decent amount of indoor seating. Our service was good throughout the visit. We had the Las Vegas Roll which was the star of the show. The Beef Ramen was ok, I thought there'd be more ingredients and the beef was a bit too thick, making it difficult to eat. Other than the restaurant being cold (not their fault, heater was broken) it was a lovely experience. Miso soup was delicious. The pepper tuna was good but my husband didn't like the texture. Loved the crunchy bits on the seaweed salad. Jalapeño appetizer was good, but I'm not fond of heavy breading. Loved the Pandora roll! Also had monkey roll and California roll which was beautiful and tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful with ordering. Bistro itself was quaint. Overall it was an excellent experience. Added bonus that they were opened when many locations were closed today due to the weather conditions. read more

Unfortunately this go around, take out wasn't exactly stellar. We ordered yaki soba and and green curry. I double checked on the bag and receipt - I definitely ordered green curry, but received red. Didn't catch it until I got home sadly. The curry was okay - tasted a little watered down. Like maybe it was made with lite coconut milk instead of regular. The veggies tasted like they were just steamed and dropped into the curry at time of order - didn't have much flavor. There was definitely some spice to the curry, maybe a 4/5 spice in my book, and I like spice! Portion sizes were good - especially with the curry. Next time we order, we'll probably stick to just the typical lunch specials with rice. read more

Asian moon is always the best spot! I usually go for lunch and their specials are fresh and amazing, the owners are so kind. Gochisousama deshita. A wonderful meal with great family and friends. It has been many years since I've had a meal in Kansas and the last time I was here, sushi was not on the scene. Asian Moon Bistro is a great addition to the local food scene. This outing found us with a handful of appetizers (edamame, gyoza, crab rangoon) and several rolls (spicy tuna,salmon roll, eel & avocado, shrimp tempura, and 2022); all were tasty and fresh. The restaurant itself was clean and nicely decorated. Our server (my bad for not catching her name) was prompt and conscientious; water glasses stayed full and empty plates were cleared in a timely manner. We had a lovely Friday night here. I enjoyed the Dragon and the Phoenix. It is a nice mix of General Taos and vegetables and shrimp. The taste is excellent. The Crab Rangoon was excellent. H had a nice sushi roll and T had the habachi shrimp. It was all very good. Our waiter was extraordinary. He was upbeat and attentive. The restaurant is lovely. It is bigger than cozy, but smaller than lost in a crowd. A great way to start the weekend. read more
