Ordered the strawberry margarita which wasn't too sweet nor too strong, I quite enjoyed it. I tried the carreta bowl with chicken and it was very filling. I ate a third before I was full. The chicken was good and came shredded. Also got the kids bean and cheese burrito which came with rice and in my opinion, was a big enough portion for an adult so be prepared to take some home! Our server was Olivia? (I think) she was so nice and we all got margaritas which were really good. The jalapeño one was surprisingly good if you like spice. Really good salsa and queso. My mom got the fiesta sampler which we had plenty of leftovers. The taquitos were really good! My dad and I shared the steak fajitas. My brother got the steak quesadilla. My family and I have been eating here for quite some time now, and this place is the best consistency of any restaurant ever. First of all, the service is always stellar. We have never had a bad server, and they have come to recognize us and know what drinks, etc we want without having to ask. The food is always great. I have tried a wide variety of the menu, and haven't ever been disappointed. A lot of dishes are more authentic than what I find in the area, and I appreciate that. The drinks are great as well. House margaritas are just fine, but if you go with the premium (1800 is my choice), they are definitely worth the money. You will only need to order one. We have several other mexican restaurants that are closer to where we live, but we pass those by several times a month to eat here. read more

Restaurant was busy so service was slow. Drinks and food took longer to arrive at the table but the server himself was nice. Food was incredible. Taco fell apart immediately but the beef was seasoned well, nothing negative to say about the enchiladas. Beans a bit soupy but they had a good flavor as did the rice. I used to love this place before I went vegetarian and the food was always so good. I recently came back with my family and ordered the veggie tacos, expecting fajita veggies or beans like most places do. Instead, they were filled with steamed broccoli and carrots? I was honestly really surprised and pretty disappointed. It just wasn't what I expected in a taco and I didn't enjoy it. My family still liked their food, and maybe some people would actually prefer broccoli and carrots, it just wasn't for me. I'd love to see a more traditional veggie option in the future because I really do want to keep coming back. read more

Premium margarita was orange juice flavored. Just not very appetizing. Our waitress spent a good part of the night holding the wall up while runners and bussers worked hard. We had dinner after driving by the place several times. We had always wanted to try the place and finally did. The salsa and service were great and we both had the taco platter. I got crunchy tacos in ground beef and chicken, plus a soft taco that was shredded beef. Then my spouse got the ground beef cooked three ways , one soft, one crunchy and one fried. They were amazing and if you do nothing else, try the tacos, this is the first Mexican restaurant I have ever went that actually had tons of meat in the tacos. They usually are greasy ground beef or you have to dig for the meat. Nice atmosphere and great food, again try the tacos! We will definitely go back to this restaurant again!!! read more

I have never had a bad meal here. First off they still give free chips and salsa. The salsa has a great flavor with lots of cilantro. It is your typical decorated Mexican restaurant with many booths and tables that can be put together for larger parties. They have always been able to accommodate large parties. The staff provide quick friendly service. The drinks are what I would consider their superpower. The margaritas are top notch. No scrimping on the tequila. Plenty of parking. Enjoy!!!! read more

Came here after our daughters volleyball tournament and wanted leave a review because the staff and food was excellent! Our waiter did an excellent job, very sweet and kept our drinks filled. Service was very slow after our initial drink order. Chili con queso was supposed to have veggies, onions, red and green pepper, jalapeños and garlic. We found none of those ingredients in the bowl of melted cheese they brought up the table. It had little flavor added to the cheese. Regular salsa tasted like tomato paste with some onion salt added to it. Had tacos el pastor which was actually pretty decent. Refried beans were bland, however. Can't tell you how long we waited to get a second drink, to order a to go order for someone stuck at home and to get our bill. I know we tried to flag our waiter down several times for it. You really can't screw up a decent Mexican place in this place is really a pretty cool Mexican place. Our in-laws that we were visiting had to make reservations because there were nine of us and the place isn't really that big or at least is it really set up to accommodate large parties. When we arrived at 7 our table was ready and I kid you not within 10 seconds of sitting down we had chips and salsa all over the place it was awesome. The salsa was a little mild but if you ask them to bring out the hot stuff they will and it'll set your face on fire. The server had a really good attitude and was pretty funny and accommodated the kids. He was a little slow with the beers but made up for in laughs. I ordered the Pollo Crema which was a little bit disappointing as I was expecting 6 to 8 oz of chicken and I got less than that. And you could choose your standard rice refried beans Etc as sides and all of the plates come out the temperature of the Sun so you have to be wary of that. My brother-in-law got fajitas and those sounded is good as they tasted yes I borrowed some of his fajita meat. It was medium-priced so you can imagine for a party of nine it was not a cheap night out but overall next time we go back to Olathe will stop and get some more of this. The only real reason for less than five stars is the place could use a deep cleaning the floors were a little greasy and the bathrooms were not in good order. read more

After a long day of volleyball our family was pleasantly surprised by this Mexican restaurant. We welcomed and told it would be a 10 minute wait. The restaurant was buzzing with laughter, from staff to guest people were enjoying the atmosphere. We were seated after just a couple minutes, but waited a long while before greeted by our server, so we ordered our meals at the first greeting along with our beverages. My two teenage girls shared the steak fajitas. They thought the serving was light on meat, compared to other restaurants. It was enough to feed them for one meal, but they are used to leftovers. My husband had the tamales and no complaints from him. He did have leftovers. I had the chef's special and it was the highlight of the dinner. Chicken, steak, bell peppers, jalapeños, onions and tomatoes stacked high on the plate, and smothered in queso. It was paired with corn tortillas, beans, and rice. Our two year old nibbled portions of all our plates. Over all we we impressed by the reasonable prices. read more
