Chow mein, General Tso's chicken, and honey garlic chicken

We enjoyed our to go order of General Tso's chicken with Mongolian broccoli beef and fried rice. Chow mein noodles, honey garlic chicken General Tso's chicken. We also enjoyed a delicious potstickers with the perfect crunch texture, flavor.

Love me some Asian Spice, especially the prawn job-che. Great family platters and big portions. The kids love the honey chicken. It's a yummy if not high-end option. It's hard to find this kind of food in Monroe. Not always the fastest, though - I'd recommend ordering ahead and leaving a little extra time for pick-up.

Stopped in while passing through. It was open at 10:30 am. Owner's were very nice. Enjoyed the food and now have a place to grab a bite and take a break off of HWY 2 near Moroe.

Mixed up food. Chow mein was plain noodles.

Good food. We love their honey chicken. We have found a green wrapper in our rice once otherwise I'd give them 5 stars.

Chans Place is hands down delicious and has quickly become our go-to family dinner spot. We've only dined in the restaurant (I've heard mixed opinions on the take out) and while we have our standard appetizer order of Firecracker Shrimp and the Cream Cheese wontons, we always mix up the plates. My favorite plate so far is the Hong Kong style pan fried noodles with chicken - it's is delicious. We also love the Pad Thai, lemon chicken, and the chow mein. We always order with chicken, which they cook perfectly. We've discovered that two appetizers and two plates is the perfect amount of food for our family of four. Worth noting - the firecracker shrimp is the stuff dreams are made of. It's the best I've ever had, anywhere. I reccomend planning ahead on weekends as it can get busy. Weeknights you can be seated no problem. Highly recommend!

I order the Wor Wonton Soup Noodle dish and it was very tasty with plentiful proteins and veggies. What surprised me more than anything was their chicken tenders. Two of our grandchildren ordered the tenders and I sampled (stole) a few for myself. OMG, they were incredible! Everyone else had nothing but compliments about their orders as well. We all left with full stomachs and smiles on our faces. Huge dining rooms and well decorated!

Easy parking, easy to get your food made to your exact specifications, fast. Plus if you are really hungry you can have a couple bowls. Sure it's not as reasonably priced as it once was, but I always leave absolutely stuffed. If you are not an overeater like I am, then you can always just get one bowl and take your leftovers to go, I admire people who are able to do this. What I love most about Hot Iron compared to other Mongolian grills is that they have tofu, olives and cilantro. Many people think its weird that I love olives in my Mongolian grill, but now I absolutely must have it. I also love that you can make your sauce exactly how you like it, if you go to a place where they put everything in the bowl for you, you may end up with a sauce concoction you do not love. I have perfected the flavor of my food. What I don't love as much as I used to, is that they switched to squeeze bottle sauces since covid, this makes it much harder to get the amount of garlic and ginger correct in my meal. I do hope they will consider switching back one day. My partner has been complaining about this, plus it makes everything all sticky and kind of gross but they do provide gloves and there is usually hand sanitizer available. I think these meals are perfect for people with different dietary requirements, you can pile on the meat, eat only seafood, go low carb or just do veg. So many possibilities, which makes this the perfect meal for me and causes me to try to convince everyone I know to try it. I love you Hot Iron.

We ordered the usual, schezuan shrimp and moo shu pork with a green onion pancake starter. The pancake was bland, not seasoned, but ok. But wow, I open the shrimp and I can smell ammonia coming from the meal. I try one bite of shrimp just to make sure it's not me because it is heavily spiced and cooked in oil. Nope, shrimp is seriously spoiled, and the moo shu is smelling off as well. We decide we can't eat the food, and I decided to head down to the restaurant so I could talk with staff and have them check out the meal. Jin, the waiter in charge, tells me after I come in that it doesn't smell bad to her. Jesus, just what you want to hear when you've driven back to restaurant with the spoiled shrimp. Strike one. Jin then tells me that the employees eat the shrimp today and are fine. Strike two. I explain im really not trying to be difficult, but Im concerned about the defensive posturing in light of a possible food poisoning situation. So Jin, to prove her point, goes ahead and eats one of the shrimps, the other male staff watching her with some discomfort. I tell her to spit it out, but nope, down the hatch it goes. Jim goes on to tell me that we eat dead seafood (you know us---People in Everett--and yeah maybe it's a little soft but that's just typical dead seafood. Strike three. She did finally offer to refund my meal in cash, and I told her I was really trying to just make sure the restaurant wasn't unintentionally making my neighbors, friends, and family sick. I wasn't interested in going on blast with a review and contacting the health district, but after sleeping on it, I'm doing the right thing. Sorry Jin, your ego got in the way of a resolution. Be careful.... PS A note for Jin and Flying Lemon Fish. When I was 23, I served some bad clams at a fine dining restaurant. The family called to tell us their daughter was in the hospital with some liver problems. We immediately went to the cooler and went through all the shellfish, called back the family and offered to take care of any medical bills or follow-up. It happens if you serve food occasionally, just be respectful with your response, it goes a long way instead of challenging a customer's dissatisfaction.
