Pretty nice place aesthetic wise. They have a large variety of foods to offer. Most of the food was pretty okay tasting but I noticed a lot of dry and old looking food even as they switched them out. By the sushi I saw nats flying around. And a lot of the food was pretty salty. But a good amount of the food was decent. The table was a bit sticky and the building it self run down looking. Might go back for select items but I don't see myself returning. Despite's this the staff was incredibly awesome. Super on point. And our waiter Steven was just outstandingly kind. The food was really great, and warm, I'm pretty sure they have sushi. Mostly everything was self serve, the workers are nice and polite. The environment was really well, they have pretty good decorations, and have tvs. The bathroom and floors were clean. Ive been to SEVERAL buffets now including Lins, izumi, asia and grand buffett. Hot and cold items were always full (good or bad) but everything was great. Its ok for the weekend price of $35+. I thought I reviewed but downside was they kept the crab legs in water (which only dilutes flavor) but posted and following time it wasn't in water but still need to season water..it of list, this is ok but so far Kumi is still better. read more

I liked their mongolian grill a lot. You can grab raw ingredients and they will grill all of it for you fresh. I also liked their sushi quite a bit. They had a wide selection which I appreciated but didn't get to try all of it. Their dessert bar was quite extensive and I liked their cake and mango jello from there. The service was quick, they came around a lot to pick up plates and they were always nice. The buffet area was a bit overstimulating because there were just so many options but the seating area was nice and felt clean. read more

We decided to try this place from Google reviews. The place was clean. Not crowded. I was disappointed in the variety of food. The food was room temperature, only thing hot was the egg drop soup. I've never been to an Asian buffet where there wasn't any green beans or Seafood Delight. Those are my main items I like to eat. The broccoli was over cooked in the broccoli/chicken/beef. By far the grossest and least appealing restaurant I've ever been to. The price doesn't justify the food's subpar quality. They charged us $4 for the drink alone. The bathrooms were filthy and the customers were also quite gross. One gentleman was rubbing his bare feet all over the restaurant's disgusting, unwashed carpet littered with garbage and food debris. Plenty of food choices: - sushi - all the usual chicken dishes - all the usual beef dishes - all the usual pork dishes - several shrimp dishes - fried rice, egg rolls, pork ribs, chicken on a stick, soups, etc. - a Mongolian hot bar There is a salad bar and a dessert bar. Soft serve ice cream. Our tab for three adults and three drinks was about $65. Not too bad. The servers were not overly attentive, but they kept the empty plates cleared and the drinks refilled. This is not my first time here, and it's definitely not my last! Great food and even better customer service!! This is your very fast-paced, quickly set buffet. All the normal quisine would expect and plus sushi and Mongolian Grill with steaks after 3:30 pm. The restaurant was amazingly clean, as was the bathroom. The server bussed our table very frequently our drinks were not ever empty. The food was turned over very quickly. Everything was quite fresh and seasoned very well! Their sushi bar seemed to be replaced very frequently. The person was actively making it behind the area when we were here for our visit. I believe my favorite items were the chicken dumplings and egg rolls. The dumplings were very tasty and crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The egg rolls were jist perfectly stuffed with cabbage, noodles, chicken, and veggies, then fried to perfection. My husband really enjoys sea food, and since I have an allergy, I can bring him here to get good and tasty sea food from crabs to shrimp to fish as well. I will be coming back again! read more

I rarely write reviews, unless my experience is truly unacceptable and this experience compelled me to speak up. I came to Asian Star Buffet hoping to treat myself after a serious medical emergency. I paid for the dinner buffet specifically for the crab legs -- my absolute favorite food. However, nearly half of the crab legs I received were inedible, with many showing a disturbing grey-green discoloration and one even containing red, stringy organ tissue that I unknowingly bit into. This not only ruined my meal but made me physically nauseous. I left feeling worse than I had when I came into the restaurant. Not to mention the sushi? Which I'm a frequent consumer of since it's my favorite food, was warm when served. Raw fish should NEVER be served warm! That's food handlers safety 101! Not only is this dangerous for adults, but for children that is a critical danger. Mishandled see food can hospitalize children. Their main demographic is made up of families with young children! The majority of those children were less than _six years old_, there were multiple infants and babies less than a year old present while I was there. If one of them ate possible contaminated crab? That could kill them!! Despite my calm and respectful explanation and showing discharge paperwork confirming my medical emergency, the manager only offered a 10% discount -- far from adequate given the quality and safety concerns of the food served. Plates with inedible crab legs were cleared from the table too quickly for me to present proper evidence, adding to my frustration. When I politely asked if I could get a larger discount because organ meat in crab legs was very upsetting, the manager told me 10% was the best he could do. This kind of quality and customer care is unacceptable for a buffet charging $45 for two adults. It's a serious health concern and a breach of trust. I am sharing this review so others can make informed decisions and urge management to improve their food handling and customer service. read more

Our family usually go here for weekend dinners! We love Asian Star Super Buffet because it's affordable, casual, and the food selection is pretty good. For three adults and two kids, our bill was $80.04 including one drink, which is pretty reasonable for the amount of food. We always tip in cash to show our appreciation for the staff! Some of my favorite dishes are the fried pork, Singapore noodles, salmon sushi, avocado rolls, honey shrimp, mushrooms, and seaweed salad. Even though it's usually busy with big groups and parties, the wait is never too long. The only things I'd say need improvement are the seasoning on the Mongolian beef. It can be a bit bland. Sometimes there's a bit of sand in the clams. But overall, we are usually satisfied with their dinner and price. read more

The quality of the food is not what it use to be. The egg drop soup was oily and lacked taste. They only offer one fried rice now. The service was still good. Their selection in their buffet area and stir fry area is smaller than before. I payed $20. for a to go plate and they refused to stamp my points card. Which, I thought was a disrespect to the customers. We are still paying for our to go meals stuffed into a regular sized container. That's another story. read more

I have been looking for a good Chinese food buffet and this one may just be it. It was massive inside and very spacious, so much room to walk around and see the hot foods. The service was really good too, as the waiter was super attentive. The food was super hot and fresh, I appreciate the flavor and detail that some of the items had. The food was either is so much soup/sauce it was floating. Nothing seemed fresh (crispy, crunchy, ect) like it had been out a bit. We arrived here Saturday evening, and they were fairly busy as expected. Not as busy as on previous visits but still busy. We were not seated quickly, which seemed odd because there were available seats and as stated, they weren't that busy. Once seated our drinks arrived. I never received a refill for the entirety (Diet Pepsi), and had I not stopped someone to ask about my wife and daughter, they would have not received a refill either. The service is usually good, not sure why it was so lackluster this time. Food was good but there were several dishes that were well passed the time they should have been pulled. Overall a disappointing experience. If this is the new normal we will be looking for a new place so I hope this was just a fluke. read more

Tables were very gross and they seemed to have a sticky thick layer of goop at the top of them. And I don't even know how to describe the food. First I tried some of the traditional Chinese dishes they have in the buffet, and they were pretty bland and tasteless, but nothing so bad to write a bad review about yet. Then i decided to try some more American kind of foods they had there like fried chicken tenders. I don't know how they managed to do this, but it literally felt like a dish sponge. No exaggeration at all. Im not a picky eater, and my expectations are usually pretty low for buffets considering the food tends to sit out longer. But this food was almost inedible. Dessert was great though. They had Chinese donuts which were very very good, along with ice cream, fruits, and tiramisu. The staff was very kind and professional, and regularly came by to clear the plates. Environment wasn't too bad, however the outside of the restaurant is absolutely trashed. I am not a buffet person, preferring instead to have kitchen personnel focus on preparing my order and deliver it directly to my table. I find buffet food cooked for many and placed in a warming tray for who knows how long to affect doneness. Which I found to be true here. That said, this is one of the better Chinese buffets I have tried in town. There is a vast array of options, from raw or cooked sushi to ice cream and other desserts to all the oriental dishes to pizza and french fries and salads. There's even a Mongolian grill. The salad bar has less of the typical lettuce and veg to put on it but instead more of the mac or potato or seafood salads. I found some of the fish dishes too done and dry. There are many types of chicken, some fried and some not. They were busy when I was there, so perhaps that accounts for the dining room not as clean on the floors. It is a large place so not a long wait. But overall I recommend if a Chinese buffet is what you are looking for. read more

Great value! When you go to a buffet, consider the price you are paying for and base the expectation on that note. At the time of me making this review, Sunday meal (with crab legs) is $14.99. I say base your expectation on the price because I've been to Asian buffets with $35-$50 per person price point so I clearly can't compare the food quality with those to this place. With this location, for the price that you are paying, for the unlimited amount of food, with crab legs, then yes, this place is of great value. Think about how much you would spend if you just went to Panda express with one plate? So, come to this place (or other Asian buffet) with that in mind. Here, there is a variety that you can choose from. There are some dishes that were a miss but some were also a hit, so I just ate most of those. They also have super friendly staff, so for the price you pay for, I do recommend this place. They didn't get 5 starts from me because the crab legs took a long time to replenish. My husband only wanted to go here for the unlimited crab legs and he waited about 30 minutes or something to grab his second plate. There were quite a few customers coming in already and I was surprised they were talking this long to replenish it, but everything else was regularly maintained, so that's a plus.
