I was a little worried because of the 3 stars this place generally gets, but I didn't care. My soldier was graduating from boot camp, she wants to eat everything, so why not a buffet. This place isn't the best buffet I've ever been too, but it's solid. They have all the fried foods, fresh seafood, dim sum, sushi, wok/steak stations, so you get a little bit of everything. Lins is an absolutely huge and overwhelming buffet of Asian fare, salads, desserts, with everything from sushi to brisket, soups and seafood. It is replenished regularly and it did not seem to get bottlenecked with patrons trying to fill their plates. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environs are large, plenty of seating, lots of attentive servers whisking away empty plates, and providing drink refills.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't really say that anything could be different or improved. If you're vegetarian looking for vegetables this place is terrible compared to other Lin's in San Antonio. Other Lins like the one in Selma has more vegetables and variety including raw broccoli and tomato salad. This place can do better if it had more veggies. read more

Its ok for the weekend price of $35+. this is ok but so far Kumi is still better. This would rank 3rd as buffet was slightly smaller than Kings. To me, this oriental buffet restaurant was just ok. I prefer others in San Antonio based solely on the taste of the food. Seemed to me all tasted mostly the same, as if they have one sauce they put on different combinations of proteins and vegetables and give them different names. I do not recommend the "mayo shrimp" from the flavor of that combo. And the buffalo wings seemed baked, not fried, so odd texture. The filling of the creampuff wontons was oddly very sweet. I went in with high expectations since a friend had said great things about the restaurant, but found it lackluster and without any real standout dishes. Sushi was decent, shrimp was good/great, and the crab a touch salty. We did not try the ramen bar. The star of the night for us was the steak, it was nicely cooked. You pick out your own steak and put it on a plate for the chef to cook (browning is normal oxidation and it'll take about 5 minutes.) Went here the first time loved the crawfish but after it gave me bad food poisoning, just gave it a second try today because I assumed I had just eaten too much the last time so I decided to try the crawfish again. It was squishy but I just decided to eat the hard ones and here I am throwing up 30 minutes later. The service at the front desk was absolutely horrible. Alejandra or alesandra at the front with who i'm assuming is a manager or lead that is wearing red, has the most disgusting attitude with us. So why would an employee tell me that the drain is being fixed then? That type of smell is definitely distinguishable. The had the most stank face and honestly horrible customer service. I understand some days are tough and no one wants to work or work on weekends. Just because you're having a bad day doesn't mean you get to act rude and stuck up with me for no reason when i greeted you with a smile. I worked at 5 am today and greeted everyone with a smile and a good morning even though i didn't want to be there. As we left they were giving us an ugly look and were standing around the front desk as if it was their home with judgmental looks on their face. What a horrible interaction at this place. read more

I was so happy with how Micaela managed our party from calling me back with the information I needed to allowing me to set up with time our party decorations. I dined at Linn's in 615 SW loop 410 on Nov 30th. Food was great, service was great. However I had a most unpleasant incident while paying for my meal, because I did not say I was a senior I did not get my 10% discount. I mean I am older Dan dirt. The manger said he couldn't do anything to correct it. Asked for the owner, he said I could not talk to him and there was no way to get a hold of him. I went to the back and asked a food preparer for the owner, seems he was in the kitchen. He came out and took care of me, I got my 10% disc refunded. Great gentleman.
