Update review. This time service was prompt. Young lady was very nice. I wanted taro milk tea 0 to 10 percent sugar and she made it especially for me. It was delicious. Drank till very last drop. I had crispy pork mango curry and again it was absolutely delicious. The curry was spicy and delicious the way i like it. Wish there was more gravy but it is good! We came back here after a new co-worker suggested it. What a night and day difference. We walked it and were greeted by the staff right away. Shown to a table and given a chance to look over the menu. She returned and we placed our order. We had the fried spring rolls, my wife had crispy pork curry and i had rhe crispy pork Pad Kra Pow medium heat. It all looked and tasted terrific. The rolls nice, not oily and full of taste. The main dish packed with flavor and the pork was great. The egg. Perfect. Also I appreciated eating on a plate not a take out container. A big plus. read more

This place isn't far from us and always hits the spot. We like to order online for pick up, but have dined in before and had good experiences. Love getting their drunken noodles medium or hot spicy with chicken. My husband gets the pad woon sen (glass stir fry noodles) with seafood. I've had the pad Thai once and it was okay, but the drunken noodles are delicious. We've also had their Thai iced tea and bubble tea before and they were decent. If you're thinking about it, it's definitely worth trying. read more

Arguably the most bland food I've ever eaten. Don't do it. Don't recommend at all. Not terrible, but not worth going to.

We were in town for a family member's medical procedure and of course, wherever I go, I have to try the citiy's Thai and Vietnamese food (my two favorite foods). The problem so far...It is NOT authentic Thai food. I am not sure what it is. I ordered spring rolls, egg rolls, papaya with fried fish, e-San sausages, pad sa-eew, and mango sticky rice for dessert. Overall, the best dish is the fried fish and papaya salad. At first taste, the papaya salad tasted off but when you really taste it, it was actually not bad. The eggrolls and spring rolls were okay--the thing that made it taste not as great was probably the sauce. I am not sure what kind of sauce it is, but not anything Thai I've ever had. I know what Thai food is and this place does not have it. Their pad-as-eew tasted so weird. It was very watery with some funky taste to it. My husband actually liked it...but dang, it was not something very pleasant to me. So far I've tried Blessing Thai and this place...are they own by the same family or what, because the sauce for the eggrolls are the exact same thing. Food was not my favorite, but at least they had friendly staff. The decor of the restaurant screams Thai...except it does NOT have authentic Thai flavors for food. For taste itself, I would say a 2.5, giving this place a 3 the customer service. I cannot give more than that, because I want to be truthful for my reviews. read more

I would have rated this place much higher if they hadn't put egg in the vegan pad thai that I requested. It wasn't obvious and seemed as if the egg was almost hidden under the noodles. About 75% of the way through my meal I found what looked like egg and I stopped eating. I specifically asked if they could make it vegan and was told yes. I guess being in small town Midwestern​ US means I have to be more specific to get plant based foods from a place that sells meat as well. read more

Have worked in downtown Lincoln for 5 years and had no idea this place even existed. It is on West A which is about a 8-minute drive from campus. This place I'd call a hidden gem. I had shrimp pad Thai at level 6 spice and my friend had green curry at a 5. The dishes were fresh and so flavorful and just the right amount of heat. 6 is spicy. I would be 10 is FIRE! So, I will be back at this place. It is off the beaten path in a strip mall near an asian market and a gas station. Inside was clean and separated like if you were in an old house. It is a unique little Thai place that I hope you give it a shot. Or order some takeout from. Nice people. I'm just sad that I didn't take photos. Finally got to try this place and was happy I did! Lincoln needs more Thai options so I'm glad I can trade off this place with Blessings on N. 27th. Prices super reasonable ($10-$12 range) for tons of food! As it was my first time I have to get my favorite curries, so we tried red and panang curry with chicken and both were good. I love the kick of panang and the flavor of the fresh kaffir lime leaves, we are spice freaks so we got our dishes hot and it was a good heat level. We also tried spring rolls! I ordered three different entrees and everything was just awful. I've been eating Thai food for a very long time so I know what to expect. The drunken noodles were just overcooked egg noodles floating in ginger. They weren't the appropriate drunken noodle noodle either they were basically your store-bought egg noodle. The pad kra pow that really almost no flavor whatsoever and it was a miniscule portion as well. The Penang Curry was basically yellow water and again no flavor and just awful. The shrimp were tiny and way overcooked and all these meals it was just embarrassing. I don't know how this restaurant got The current 4 and 1/2 stars but they do not deserve it whatsoever. Genuinely one of the most authentic and delicious Thai restaurants that I've ever been to! I was passing through the city during a road trip, and it was such a pleasant surprise to find such a hidden gem in the middle of Nebraska. The restaurant really doesn't look like much, but don't let the run-down exterior and slightly sketchy neighboring gas station scare you away. The service is absolutely incredible; our server was incredibly kind, warm, welcoming, and helpful, and she was super helpful with answering our questions and accommodating my dietary restrictions. And the food...wow. Truly some of the best papaya salad and tom yum that I've ever had in my life. My parents thoroughly enjoyed the pad thai and pad woon sen, although the dishes were a little too salty for their taste. One thing I will note, though, is that Asian Taste's spice levels are pretty legitimate (this is definitely a spice level scale catered toward a Thai person's taste buds)...their "spicy" level is actually quite hot, so definitely be prepared for the dishes to bring on the heat. All in all, Asian Taste was (shockingly) one of the highlights of my trip to Lincoln, and if I ever find myself in the city again, I will definitely drop by again. read more

I'm in town for business and love Thai food; I try to sample some in every city I visit. After reading the 23 5/5 star ratings, I was excited to try this place. The location next to a grubby convenience store / gas station on a lower level strip mall with a person living out of their car parked next to me should have been a red flag. Being seated in what could serve as a coat closet with 3 tables by myself, lit by a 1990s chandelier with 4/7 working bulbs of various brightness should also have been a flag. I ordered Thai boba tea which was syrupy but fine and red curry with scallops and shrimp. The curry had fresh veggies which were good, and contained a total of 2 skinny shrimp and 9 pencil-eraser-sized scallops...or pieces of them. The sauce was flavorful but watery. The hostess / waitress was very pleasant and friendly. Service was slow. It does feel like I'm in a small village restaurant in Thailand, though. I would not revisit this restaurant. read more

My family and I went too Asian Taste Thai for my birthday. I love Thai and don't go very often so I was excited to see what they had. I had the Pad Thai. It was mediocre- something was missing. It wasn't as flavorful as I've had at my favorite places back home. The service was ok. They were quick to take our order and the food came back in a timely manner- Wed night, we were only 1 of 2 tables full in the place. Hard to get the server's attention later on. They were more involved with cleaning up, even though it wasn't closing time. The restaurant was clean and casual. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. We received complimentary mini Thai spring rolls after ordering, which was a nice way to start our dining experience. Ordered chicken spring rolls and crab Rangoon,drunken noodles with chicken and pad Thai with chicken. All of our dishes were delicious, and the pad Thai was amazing! A note: diners are given the choice between mild, medium, hot, and "Thai hot" spice levels for their noodle dishes, and the "medium" level that we ordered for the drunken noodles is HOT by regular standards, definitely will make you sweat a bit-- but not in an unpleasant way. Service was slow, but good in terms of attentiveness and accuracy. Can't wait to return and try their curry dishes next time, and it's wonderful to have a quality Thai restaurant in town again! read more

I was looking for something new for lunch and decided to give Asian Taste a try. I ordered panang curry with chicken. The dish was well flavored, with red and green peppers and kabocha squash. The chicken pieces were small and I wish there were more. Sauce was a little thin as well. I did really like the addition of squash, which I have not had before in a panang curry. Overall, it was a solid, but expensive lunch. With just over a 20% tip, I paid $17. Next time I will go to Blue Orchid for the lunch special. read more

We've been wanting to try this place out for a long time but today was a bit of a disappointment. We tried the papaya salad, yellow curry, panang curry, and Thai iced tea. I'm usually a huge papaya salad fan, and this was EXTREMELY spicy like it should be (others have let me down in this aspect), but the salad was filled out with overly mature Thai eggplant whose texture and bitterness kinda ruined the experience. The yellow curry, too, didn't live up to my expectations. It just tasted like bog-standard curry paste, and still had that gritty texture, but everything in the curry was actually cooked perfectly. The panang curry and the iced teas were excellent, though (surprising and welcome inclusion of acorn squash in the panang), and I may return for these or to try other dishes. Other than that, the order and pickup experience were totally smooth. They were out of one of our first choices but that's forgivable. And our food was super fresh and stayed super hot until we got to our dinner location. My hopes were high and I was a little let down, but not enough to prevent me from trying again another time read more

First time eating here. Tried the Spring Rolls (fried), the Ginger Tea, Pad Thai and Panang Curry. Panang Curry has good flavor but is very thin, almost like a soup. The Ginger Tea was very strong which was fine in my opinion but just something to be aware of. No liquor license which is just something to be aware of, not a problem. They have several smaller rooms with tables which lends to a quieter dining experience which is kind of nice. Service was very good. Overall, if in the mood for Thai food and on that side of town I'm sure we will return. read more

We ordered the two entrees with medium spice, which we know from the reviews should be hot. As with any review, hot is subjective. I ended up adding Sriracha to mine for some extra kick, but my co-worker ended up halfway through mentioning how awesome it tastes with sweat pouring from his head. So, buyer beware. Finally got to try this place! Definitely our favorite Thai food in Lincoln now, and probably the best Pad Thai I've had in years and in the Midwest! Perfectly spiced, excellent balance of sweet and sour, crunch and noodle. Tried the Moo-Grob, which was more like bits of bacon than what I had imagined, but loved it anyhow. The Panang curry was absolutely the best I've had, period - with amazing chunks of an unfamiliar winter squash, which added lots of depth and richness to the dish. We asked for them spicy and they were so good and very spicy (definitely are serious when you ask for spicy! Which is a good thing!) Also tried the chicken wings - which were excellent and chicken spring rolls which were good, but will try something else next time. (like maybe fish cakes!) Will go back for the drunken noodles next, which I've heard good things about. Top restaurant for Lincoln. Thanks for the great food! read more

Currently the best Thai Restaurant in Lincoln, NE. I lived in Thailand for two years and grew to appreciate and enjoy Thai food while I lived there. Their strong suit is the Pad Thai they serve, but their salads and fried rice are also excellent. When ordering, be sure you ask for the low end of the spiciness factor. Medium spice is generally more than most Midwesterners can tolerate. Their Thai iced tea or coffee is a great accompaniment. I strongly recommend this restaurant. read more

Finally a Thai place in Lincoln that does a great job. This place just opened about a month ago in a part of town I don't often frequent. We're a family of 4 vegan/vegetarians and we all enjoyed different main dishes.....so glad there was a great amount to choose from....often times we're limited to only a couple items to consider. But not here! We chose: Drunken Noodles, Pineapple Curry, Mango Curry, and Green Curry entrees plus the Vegetable Tempura appetizer. With all the entrees you could choose "meat" or "no meat" and substitute with tofu, which we did. ALL items were so delish, service was wonderful, and prices were so reasonable! Meals were only $9 to $10 each, Vegetable Tempura appetizer was just $5. We highly recommend the food here, and will most definitely be back many more times. read more

This place is in the hidden part of Lincoln, so the parking is easy and you can basically park anywhere. When we got there, there was barely any people. But once 6 o'clock rolled around, it started to fill up. As a appetizer we ordered the spring rolls, I thought they were very good, crispy, light and a lot of delicious ingredients. It leaves a person wanting more. As my main dish I ordered the basil curry with chicken (number 9 on the menu), the food is very spicy so even though I am a spicy type of guy. I would recommend a 5 out of 10 on the spicy scale. Once I got my main dish, I dug right in. It was quite scrumptious and it had the right amount of spice, the chicken was very tender and delicious. The sauce was very flavorful and was perfect for the dish! I would go back again in the future. read more
