Visited this location when traveling to nebraska! My cousin who lives near the area highly recommended this restaurant! Im very picky when it comes to sushi and this spot was everything and more, it's going to be hard not having a blue sushi in michigan! We tried a bunch of different rolls, apps, and cocktails! The best roll was the thriller roll. Our server was great too! I was a big fan of the menu graphics and the overall design of the restaurant.

This was the 1st time I've been to the Blue Sushi grill in Lincoln, NE. I've been to the one in Omaha, NE so I think my expectations may have been set to a higher level walking in. They maybe had 4-5 table sat in the whole restaurant so I was a little disappointed that the server or greeter took about 10 minutes for the initial table side greeting. To be fair I did come in for a late dinner around 8pm & however I confirmed that the place didn't close until 9. The best part was the mango Crab Rangoon with the two different sauces. The Spicy Tuna/Spicy Tekka roll was pretty generic & disappointing. I think it's probably a better spot for Happy Hour if you are staying at the Courtyard Marriott (attached to the restaurant) or Hilton Garden Inn which was just across the street. There are a lot of other options in that downtown area so I think I'll be trying one of those out the next time I'm in town.

Delicious sushi, great service. Have Happy Hour Specials that are a great deal. They have a large cocktail menu.

Came here around noon on a Friday. Our group decided to get a lounge table, which was like two couches around a narrow table. The regular tables have more room on them. I got the lunch special which comes with a soup or salad, I got the miso soup. I also got the tidal wave roll and the scallop (hotato) nigiri. Everything comes out as it's ready so everyone on our table got their orders at differing times. We also got the free edamame for checking in on yelp. The miso soup was good, and had some sliced mushrooms. The tidal wave roll was just as advertised with some tempura shrimp and imitation crab. The scallop nigiri had seaweed wrapped around it and the scallop seemed really fresh and sweet. My coworkers got the sizzling beef dish, the tuna tower, the spider roll, and the fried ice cream for dessert. Everything was delicious; I would come back again.

Nice ambiance with Japanese decor by the bar area. Our server Mackenzie was really sweet and checked up on our frequently even though she was looking over several tables. For appetizers if you want something a little more filling, get the crab rangoon so you don't over order. The beef on the river rocks were a little on the plainer side and was almost $18, so I would skip out on this one. The everything salmon was yummy, but a little bit on the saltier side because it was smoked and there was some soy sauce on the bottom that made it a bit saltier. Our favorite roll was the lion king because I'm a sucker for anything that's been torched and has a bit of a charred taste to it. The eel sauce and sriracha mayo on top made it a very savory roll as well.

Seating is limited, but it feels cozy and intimate. The staff was outstanding from the greeter to the servers, friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The menu has a great variety, from ramen and teriyaki boxes to rice dishes and sushi. We started with the soft shell crab appetizer, which was incredibly fresh with a light, perfectly crisp tempura batter. For our main course, we went with a selection of sushi, and it was phenomenal. The fish was extremely fresh, served at the perfect temperature, and every flavor paired beautifully. One thing I really appreciated is they don't smother their sushi in sauces, they let the freshness and quality of the fish speak for itself, the way it should. Quite possibly the best sushi in town!!

We ordered a variety of stuff. As appetisers We ordered fried calamari, it's only now that I realized I didn't grab a pix of the calamari. It was decent with a creamy sriracha sauce. I then had my agadashi tofu. It was crisp and nice. The batter could be lighter and the tofu could be the softer kind... - to me that would be nirvana. But for this- it was good. My handroll and sushi was fresh and delicious. It was a good afternoon with the good food My drink happy sumo- was nice just didn't really do it for me though. Ambiance was nice and zen. I like it. We pointed it out and the server asked his manager. Manager pointed out that fhe menu is stated that it was named happy hour. Suggest they specifically put that on the menu. That said food still tasted good and is fresh. Thank you Koen for saving us a few bucks. Because i picked a different dish.and our overall bill was reduced. However, i also noticed reduction in the sizes of the meal probably due to the economy. In my dolsot bibimbap, there was much lesser meat, much lesser vegetables than before. The proportion of rice appeared to have grown. Looks like other patrons have noticed too. Might be awhile before we came back. Be mindful- habachi grill menu allows for one person n three people to order. The one named happy hour for two ppl cannot be ordered until its happy hour. Feels like they are penalising couples who want to both have their habachi. Remember that and save some moolah!!!!

The server took initial drink orders for two of my friends and directed them to the QR code to order appetizers/food--it was unclear. When I arrived a few minutes later it took a bit for anyone else to come by, I ordered a drink and had to ask for it multiple times. We basically learned by vibes we will be ordering our food online ourselves...which is fine but that needs to be clear upfront. I had to ask for side plates more than once, we received paper baskets, which isn't really ideal for soy sauce dipping. Midway through the meal we are told water is self-service too. I went up to order a second round of drinks for the table myself, and later my friend went up to get our drink tabs to close out and also to-go boxes as even tho you don't order the drinks online, apparently no one else was coming to our table to close these out so no idea how long we would have sat there waiting. I always consider myself a good tipper, but don't expect much when we are doing a majority of the work ourselves and don't feel like we've received any type of "service." I don't know if they are transitioning to this or struggling with staffing and cutting down, but last time I was here it was great service, and they had lunch sushi specials with soup/salad (September 2025). The menu appears to have changed along with service quality. All of that being said, the sushi is decent quality, we really liked the Oh my god roll that flames up at the table, that was our favorite. We also got the kiss of fire, it wasn't as spicy as it sounded, crystal beach, and monster lobster roll, They were all just okay, but I don't know if it's worth the time of self-service ambiance when you want the full dine-in sushi experience, this doesn't match the current vibe inside so maybe a better place just to get take out. Hoping this was just a one-off experience but time will tell. Did enjoy the beef gyoza and pineapple sake.

When my order arrived, the food was cold, which may have been more of a DoorDash issue since the delivery took quite a while. However, the bigger problem was the roll itself. The fish tasted terrible--so bad that I spit it out. I've had this roll many times before and know what it should taste like, and this was definitely not right. On top of that, I was missing a crab rangoon. When I tried to resolve it through DoorDash, they only offered a partial refund, so I called the restaurant directly. The employee I spoke with was argumentative from the start. When I explained that the roll was cold, soggy, and tasted like bad fish, he had excuse after excuse for why it was that way. The reality is that the food was not edible, and I had to spend more money to get something else to eat. As for the missing crab rangoon, he insisted that he personally packed my order and knew it was in the bag. He repeatedly told me he put it in there and suggested the DoorDash driver must have taken it. I told him I didn't care who put it in the bag--the point is that it wasn't in my order when it arrived. Instead of trying to help or make it right, he argued with me and basically accused someone else of stealing it. Mistakes happen, but poor customer service and refusing to take concerns seriously are what earned this review. I won't be ordering from here again.

That took another 10 minutes to arrive. I ordered the Naruto Ramen, which they describe as "Pork broth, rice noodle, chashu chicken, beans sprouts, green onions, corn and bok choy. I estimate there was .5 of an ounce of chicken, which was just a plain, unseasoned single slice of white meat. It was definitely not chashu chicken, which is pressed, rolled, seasoned and steamed or simmered. There were about 4 bean sprouts, 3 tiny slices of onion, and no bok choy. There was about an ounce of corn and about a half a package worth of ramen. The broth was the biggest disappointment. It had almost no flavor at all....no salt, no seasoning, no meat flavor. There was nothing savory or satisfying to it at all. The bowl was about room temperature. The broth tasted almost like lukewarm water had been poured into the bowl to clean some leftovers. The prices are shockingly high for this kind of food. A ramen bar is supposed to be fast, reasonably priced, and satisfying. The one bright spot of my meal were the tiny spring rolls they offered that afternoon as a special for half off. They were warm and crispy at least.
