I'm being gracious with my stars but the main meal -- the meats, anyway -- were pretty good. But…read morethe service and overall experience just were ridiculous. The gal behind the counter where you ordered was clueless about the food and most everything in general. One description she gave she was able to read off a piece of notebook paper, but otherwise, she was no help at all telling us our options, what were on the plates, and especially about the sauces and condiments. I'm not sure if she had a language problem understanding English in addition, but she definitely knew nothing about middle eastern food. Or sadly much of anything else. We got their combo plate with a choice of 3 meats. For our side, we chose salad twice. We also ordered Turkish tea which she told us came in a small pot with enough for two people. There was no one else eating in the restaurant while we there, about an hour, although one person did come in to pickup his lunch. We got our food and asked for another plate -- as we were sharing. Everything comes on paper/styrofoam plates and the ware is plastic. We were given a small cup of mashed garlic!...and We were told that was the salad dressing!! I asked for something else and she gave us another small cup. She said she didn't know what it was... but they put it on the hummus. (It turned out to be olive oil). The two other "sauces" we think were thin yogurt and we don't know... because she couldn't tell us what they were and what they went with. We'd gotten a bottle of water during our meal, but had been hoping to have the mint tea with it. Over 30 minutes later, we were given two paper cups with hot tea in them. The strong tea definitely needed sweetener. She'd given us regular sugar and we asked if she had anything else like Splenda (equal; sweet n low). She didn't understand what we were asking and instead showed us the actual sugar box. So we guessed no they didn't have any. I went to our car and grabbed a few packets to use. So bottom line:: The plain salad was fresh, but would have been better with dressing. The meats were fine; This place has so much potential and yet it was so disappointing. And frustrating. And no, we won't be back.

I have been curious about this place and I am glad that I have stopped in today…read more We did take out for chicken pita and Gyro pita. The Gyro pita meat was plentiful and the pizza itself was large enough to hold it and it came out nice and warm. The chicken I pretty much have the same exact experience so that was great as well. It's a really nice and pleasant family that runs this place and they were attentive, and explained to me the details of their menu. I'm super happy I was able to try this place out and meet such a wonderful family!

I heard somebody the other day talking about Maryland Fried Chicken and said since the new owners…read morechanged the recipe the place is not good. That's the farthest thing from the truth. They opened in 1968. My mom started taking me there in 1978 when I was 10 years old, we lived down the street and I've been eating there ever since and I'm almost 60 years old the same recipe for all those years, they've never changed it. Everything is from scratch. They break the chickens down from whole chickens by hand and they do all the work by hand they don't buy it premade all that chicken is done by hand. It's the best chicken I've ever had and I've eaten in a lot of places and I still eat there till this day and the family that owns it now has owned it for a while and they never changed the recipe. I recommend it to everybody and I buy large orders from there all the time. I'm also a fan of their chicken gizzards so for all those haters that say they've changed they haven't and I recommended to everybody me and my friends my family and everybody I know gets our chicken from there. Cole slaw was mediocre- lotta mayo. Put it this way, go to Publix. Youll pay 50% less for much better quality. Lady was nice but her cook doesn't know how to prepare fried chicken. Youre better off doing frozen fries in the oven. One n done. .
