    Donor with beef and lamb

Great food and amazing service! First time trying authentic Turkish cuisine and it was so good! Started with some grape leaves, they were refreshing and light. Then some baba ganoush with lots of eggplant and warm pita bread to share. I love how everything wasn't heavily seasoned but still had great flavor. Also had a quick pick me up with a cup of Turkish coffee which was bold and rich! The main courses were the donor platter with beef and lamb meat with shasuka and cucumber tomato salad as sides. Everything was delicious! The meat was juicy, tender and has a great charred edge with some nice fat to lean meat ratio. We also shared the Turk Ohh flatbread. Delightful. Thin bread with nice savory spread on top and some more meat slices. Paired with marinated onions and fresh tomatoes, it was so good. Love the different textures, flavors and colors. The service was also super sweet and quick. Will definitely be back for more!

Great service, huge portions! I was shocked when they brought my döner plate and şakşuka on the side. Good taste.

This place is what I have been looking for when it comes to Turkish cuisine in South Florida for so long! The food here is very good! It is not a fancy place but it is clean and the staff are super friendly. You know that you have found an authentic place when the staff and customers are talking the language of that cuisine. The food here definitely transports me back to Turkey. I only wish this place was not a 45 minute drive from me, because I would come back a lot more!

This place is a small cute Turkish restaurant. I love their food. I ordered the Doner platter that comes with sliced meat and you get to choose two sides. They give you complimentary Turkish tea. For dessert I ordered the Pistachio Kunefe the last time but this time they told me it was discontinued. This dessert was soooo good. I was upset they don't have it anymore. This restaurant offers delivery service and on the tables they have QR codes for the menu. I rated it this place 3 stars because they didn't have the dessert any more and for the fact it is a very small place. Make sure to arrive in the evening just in case you have to sit outside it won't be that hot due to having limited seating.

So my aunt has been raving about CITIR for months. She has taken every family member, friend and neighbor, more than once to eat there with her, and every time she would bring me something new to try. Finally, we were able to find a day that we both were open and I got to go with her. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed with huge smiles and them saying "another family member!!" They were genuinely happy to see my aunt again and meet me. But the friendly service was not reserved for us, I saw the same treatment with everyone that came in. They truly show joy serving their food and seeing their customers enjoy it. We ordered to much... started with some dips, the hummus was my favorite, but all were fresh and flavorful. We had the grape leave, also the Sigara Borek - these are filo though stuffed with fetta cheese (a Must!). And as my entrée I had their Doner Lavash wrap. This is delicious cooked meat with vegetable in their homemade lavash bread. So good! Even though I was stuffed, and with leftovers (that I enjoyed for lunch), I couldn't leave without a baklava. And I was so happy I had it, not too sweet, perfect size, delicious!

I stopped here for take-out after finishing up some chores in the area. This is a local gem! I ordered the Doner Platter with Acili Ezme and hand cut fries. This was served over a bed of lavash bread. Delicious, well-seasoned, and freshly prepared with passion in house! I had a Turkish tea while waiting for the order. Cozy interior with a welcoming staff that gave good suggestions on what to try with the platter.

I came to this restaurant like two days ago and I had to return for their amazing food. The restaurant has Turkish music playing in the background and it is in the perfect volume. The decor of the restaurant has a couple of Turkish decorations. I ordered the same food from last time . I had the Doner platter, which is a meat platter that comes with two sides. I got the salad and the rice. It is soo good. I also ordered the borek as an appetizer and it is soo amazing. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for an authentic Mediterranean restaurant.

When I saw an ad for Citir pop up online, I immediately knew they were going to be good. And after my visit today, I can confirm - this is an incredible little place and easily my favorite find of the year. I'd initially been putting off a visit, since nearly all of the entrees had beef, which I cannot eat. However, they've recently added a few more vegetarian entree options to the menu, and are testing out a chicken doner meat selection, which I was lucky enough to get to try today. To start, we had the hummus which was really tasty. Good texture, loved the herbs in there and the subtle nuttiness to it from the tahini. I also enjoyed the flatbread they serve with it, which was light, piping hot, and not too heavy for an appetizer. My chicken doner gobit sandwich was absolutely delicious. Everything worked here. The bread was so fresh and had a great texture, soft yet able to stand up to all of the fillings. And on fillings - they are GENEROUS with the portions. My tip is to get it exactly as it comes on the menu (plus the garlic yogurt sauce), because everything on that sandwich works. I literally cannot pick a favorite element. I don't tend to have a very big appetite but this sandwich was so good that I wanted to scarf the entire thing down. I also tried a few drinks, including the lemonade, the Turkish coffee, and the Turkish tea. The lemonade had a subtle bit of herbiness to it that I absolutely loved and I will definitely be ordering this next time. The coffee and tea were both perfect - super strong and smooth with zero bitter bite. We also got the kazandibi for dessert at our waitress's suggestion, and I really enjoyed it! Not too sweet at all, with a pleasant custardy texture and a cinnamon topping. On the topic of our waitress and the staff in general, they were all so sweet and helpful. This seems like a family-run place with a community of regulars and I absolutely loved the vibe here. I could keep raving about Citir, but honestly, you just need to go. I think my only complaint is that I don't live closer!

It's probably our 10th time visiting Citir and they never disappoint! Tried the new chicken doner and it was delicious, a must try. They always add new things to the menu, the Turk ohh which is a doner on lahmacun is also delicious! Kunefe had a great buttery taste with full pistachios in it. Very delicious!

Best food ever. We drove all the way from west palm beach after my sister told us about it. The food is amazing and their Grobit Donor sandwich is the best. Loved it. Really tasteful meat and bread and their meat portion is generous. We also tried their Lavash bread and that too was really good. It's more like a wrap with meat and lettuce but it was so tasteful and juicy and a lot of meat. Definitely coming back here. Their Turkish tea is also amazing. There is little place inside with few tables and few tables outside. Very nice girls who work there. Entire staff is very sweet.

This place came recommended from a friend and gave it a try. Was not disappointed! Everything was so flavorful and authentic. This night we had the donor platter and it was very very good. Tea and coffee are good and the homemade lemonade is a must try! The pistachio dessert is out of this world amazing! I've gone back a few times now!!

We had a great and unique lunch experience here. My husband loves Turkish food. He'd been stationed in Turkey many years ago while in the Air Force and still speaks a few phrases. So, when I saw this place a few months back, I'd bookmarked it for a future visit. It's a very small restaurant. When we first pulled up outside, we weren't sure it was open. We were surprised to enter to find every table but one occupied. We were lucky to sit down right away. In fact, while we were there, as anyone finished, there was another group of folks waiting to be seated. The restaurant is family owned. As I mentioned, it's small -- maybe six tables. And there's only one meat (a mix of beef and lamb) on the menu -- which shows up in various ways. We noticed that their Turkish tea, chai, is complementary for those dining in. We like chai and we wound up having several glasses of the aromatic hot tea with our meal and our dessert. We started by sharing a coban salad. This is a chopped style salad without lettuce. We requested and added sumac to it. It had a light dressing of olive oil and lemon on it. It was quite refreshing. Then we got a lahmacun which is their flat bread pizza-like dish. The crispy dough is very thin and is covered with a thin layer of a combo of meat, tomatoes, and spices. Although there are spices mixed in it, it's not spicy at all. For dessert, we perused the case to see what they had at the time we were there. I wound up choosing some semolina cookies that had nuts in them as well as a sugar syrup bath. These were good, but I think I'd like to try something else next time. Even though they were busy, we did get a chance to chat with the server to learn about her (and the family) background and the restaurant, as well. We will definitely return to try some more items on the menu. Their sandwiches looked especially popular.

Laspada had a lit up sign in the window saying they're "open." I seem to recall Next Door Boca giving them decent reviews. I am a native of Philly, hometown of the hoagie. I thought I'd give this place a try. I ran from my car through the rain and tugged on the door....locked. The door hours say open at 11! So much for the lit "open" sign. They have outdoor metal tables and chairs under an awning. I sat at an outdoor table for ten minutes. I looked through the storefront window at a couple employees prepping and I read the wall menu. A guy unlocked the place at 11. I let a young family and several other guys go ahead of me. Guy at the slicing wheel waited on me. I ordered a small Mama Lastrada turkey & salami on wheat. There's about a half dozen employees behind the counter dealing with the assembly line of customers and sandwiches. Guy at the slicing wheel tells me one of the other guys will work on my sandwich. Okay. However, I can't move down the line because there's customers still lined up ahead of me waiting for their food. Slicing wheel guy looks up at me a minute later and asks what he can get for me. I look back at him waiting for him to recognize me from a minute ago when he already had sliced my order. No recognition! I repeated my order to him. Now he remembers me! He again refers me to one of his junior sandwich prep guys. I overheard him telling a busy junior guy, "This is just a small Mama on wheat" or something like that. Still, I can't go down the line because there's guy ahead of me had placed an order for 3 sandwiches. I swear to you that the slicing wheel guy asks me for a THIRD time for my order! By this time, I felt like I was in a Monty Python sketch. I repeated my order. Again, he refers me to a third junior associate (Manny, Moe, and Jack)? Finally, a young associate asked me for toppings. I had noticed two lettuce bins. One bin looked fine. The other looked a little brown. I decided to skip the lettuce rather than ask him to pick from the left hand bin and embarrass them. I also saw a black speck in the onion bin. It probably was nothing but I decided to skip onions just to be safe. I chose tomatoes, Swiss cheese, pickles and sweet peppers. The debit card reader asks if I want to tip. I skipped that. Price was reasonable. Hoagie was okay. The roll was soggy. Philly hoagie shops pride themselves on their rolls. I understand this is Florida, not Philly. I can appreciate this place is popular and busy. However, being asked for my order 3 times by the same experienced worker there left me feeling less than special as a customer.

FIVE STARS. GAS STATION? YES. GAS STATION? ALSO YES…read more Let's get something straight. Some of the best food on earth comes from places that look like you shouldn't trust them. Gas stations. Side streets. Tiny counters with three tables and a refrigerator humming in the corner. I saw WhatSub on Yelp and thought, "Alright. Let's see if the hype survives State Road 7." It didn't just survive. It flexed. I am fully on board with five-star gas station cuisine. In fact, I seek it out. And WhatSub doesn't just play the game -- it competes internationally. This place comes dangerously close to Sandwich Master in Turin, Italy. I'm not exaggerating. And it narrowly beats out Generoso's in Coral Springs, which is not an easy feat. The bread? Legit. The meats? Layered like someone actually respects the architecture of a sandwich. The balance? No soggy mess. No overkill. No amateur hour. And then the cannoli. Freshly piped. Not pre-filled. Not sitting there getting sad and humid. Fresh. Filled to order. Shell still crisp. Ricotta smooth and balanced -- not overly sweet, not grainy, not lazy. Best cannoli I've had in South Florida since Lorenzo's in North Miami Beach. That's not a casual comparison. That's a statement. Now let's talk atmosphere. It's technically in a gas station plaza -- and yet the owners and staff are actually speaking Italian behind the counter. Not performative. Not touristy. Just normal conversation like you accidentally stepped into a deli in Torino. It feels real. So real that I went back the next day. And then again. I am not joking. When I ask myself, "What was my favorite thing?" the answer is dangerous: Everything I ordered. Cold subs. Hot subs. Cannoli. Repeat. This is the kind of place you almost don't want to write about because once the word spreads, lines get longer and secrets disappear. But credit where credit is due. WhatSub is proof that greatness doesn't need chandeliers. Sometimes it just needs good bread, proper technique, and someone who actually cares.

Came here because I saw it was a new Italian sub shop near my area. Saw good reviews and wanted to…read moretry it myself. Behind the counter was a husband/wife duo who were the business owners (didn't get their names) who stated they were from Sicily. After much deliberation, I decided to order the Arthur Ave and the Milano. The Arthur Ave is a cold sandwich that had prosciutto, arugula, stracciatella, sun dried tomato. You have a choice of bread from white, wheat rolls, and focaccia. I was informed by the husband the focaccia is made fresh daily by his wife so of course I had to try that. The wife was nice enough to let me try a sample of the prosciutto and I have to say -- it was delicious, so getting it on a sandwich was going to be a no-brainer. The Milano was for my father. Watching them make the sandwich, they put two huge pieces of chicken cutlet, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and freshly sliced mozzarella. Again, I got the focaccia bread. Both sandwich's were drizzled on the top of the focaccia bread with fresh Italian olive oil which was just the cherry on top. I had told the owners it was my first time and we had a great conversation, that they were nice enough to give me and my parents 3 free mini cannolis -- which was completely unexpected and highly appreciated! As far as the food goes, I don't have enough adjectives in my vocabulary to describe how delicious this sandwich was. From the delicious meats, the fresh veggies, and my personal favorite part -- that focaccia bread. I would buy that alone. They had specials on their menu the day I went that was a not on their menu -- a meatball sub and arancini balls. Also, keep in mind, that this shop is inside the Mobil gas station on 441 and SW 18th. There is a sign on the outside of the gas station, but if you're driving by and unsure of the location, I can confirm it is inside the Mobil. Overall, a great experience; delicious food, great people behind the counter. Only caveat I would say is it is a little bit higher price for a sandwich, but with the current economy where a McDonalds burger is over 10 bucks, you truly get what you pay for and that is top quality, fresh and delicious food. Will definitely be coming back here in the future.
