    Year Round Pool Care Package

    Last summer was my first season with a backyard pool. I purchased America's Swimming Pool Company's year round pool care package from them. I've included a copy of what services were included in this package. The season started off OK, but overall, it did not go well. Visits were very short, with the cleaner often being here for only 10-15 minutes. I'd go look at the pool immediately after they left and find dirt and algae. There was one instance where the tech said that they came and I was going to be charged for the visit. I was home, I have a bell on my gate and a backyard camera. No one came. The tech's usually take a picture of the pool, but was told they forgot that day. It was way harder than it should have been to get this missed visit credited back. One other repeated issue I had was with the lock on my gate. The technicians could not remember the code. I had service from April through September and was still being asked for the code in September. Tech's were not allowed to save my gate code to their phones, which I appreciate for safety reasons, but one would think there was some sort of reference system from APS that the tech's could access the customer information from. On one occasion, the tech came out and then let me know they wouldn't be able to clean that day. This was due to thunder being reported - 20 miles away. That seemed a bit ridiculous as there was no thunder or lightning at my house or nearby. The final straw comes with the included email. I had reached out in February to inquire when someone would be out to do the 2 winter maintenance visits that were included in the package I purchased. I spoke with Anna and she said someone would be in touch. After a few weeks I followed up via email and requested a credit since it was now March. Apparently the services noted in the package I purchased were notional, and could be delivered or not at their discretion. I will not be receiving any credit, since they were "free." If I were to guess how I mistreated the staff, I assume it's in reference to me calling into the office when services were not delivered or sub-standard. It is also probably because I expressed frustration after being asked for my gate code in September while I was in bed recovering from double knee replacement surgery. I had to scream the code to my caretaker from bed to tell the tech, so I guess that wasn't very nice of me. While they fired me as a customer before I could fire them, I'd be wary of hiring a pool service that doesn't deliver all contracted services and responds to their customers in such an unprofessional manner. Yes, I complained and was frustrated at times by the quality and/or lack of services, but I certainly didn't do or say anything to warrant this kind of response.

    We built our pool last year (May 2018) which was fully equipped with various pentair automation devices and equipment. Our builder told us to use countryside pools - used them for several months before we realized how bad they not only screwed us monetarily but systemically as well. After much scrutiny and careful consideration we decided to hire ASP to open and maintain our pool this year. ASPs service from start to finish was top notch, after our first re-opening we quickly identified a number of problems with our pool and/or it's automation equipment which ASP took great care to address our issues and work with the pentair warranty department to rectify them. ASP is equipped with an amazing staff - professional, courteous, and knowledgeable crew! Many thanks Anna and Mark for your outstanding and dedicated service! Don't think twice - hire ASP!

After having poor experiences with some of their competitors, I've been very pleased with their professionalism and attention to detail while still offering competitive prices. I appreciate their work order reports and the very detailed pictures that they include. I also wanted to call out two of their employees, specifically -- Nahum and Miguel. This year, due to all of the snow, our pool cover caved in and the pool cover pump accidentally pumped out most of the pool water before we discovered it. That, coupled with lots of leaves in the pool, made for a much more difficult opening this year. Nevertheless, Nahum and Miguel went the extra mile to get the pool to open very clean and clear. They spent extra time but did so with a very positive, helpful attitude that I appreciated. I would highly recommend them.

    Update: After posting this review, Millennium Pools reached out to us and worked with us on an…read moreupgrade we were considering for our pool. We appreciate that gesture and their willingness to address some of our concerns. While our original experience and the delays remain unchanged, it is only fair to acknowledge their effort to make things better. After more than six weeks, our pool liner project is still not complete because Millennium Pools has measured the liner incorrectly multiple times. We are now waiting for a third liner and hoping it finally fits. To make matters worse, the company removed our old liner and left our pool empty and without a liner for two weeks while we wait for the replacement. What should have been a routine liner installation has turned into a lengthy and frustrating process. The company has offered no discount or compensation for the delays, inconvenience, or loss of use of our pool, despite the fact that the mistakes were entirely their own. We have spent tens of thousands of dollars with this company and expected better service, communication, and accountability. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Millennium Pools.
