The team came to look at it and discovered that the wall and skimmer were corroded and needed to be replaced. They got right to fixing it during scorching heat. He helped me assess whether it was more cost effective to repair or replace. He came out, fixed everything up and the total came in below estimate! His troubleshooting is incredible. When a later problem with the lights watchdogged the control board he diagnosed the problem to a single fuse over the phone. He sold me the fuse and showed me where to install it. Getting service this year has been a nightmare. I replaced the entire mechanism for ~$1200 last year. This year (in March 2026), it detached from the hot tub, rendering it unusable in the prime spring weather. - I spent the last 10 weeks trying to get someone to come out to repair it (offered to pay full price) but no reponse. - Initially spoke to someone in the service center, who told me I needed a "bracket", and that it was on backorder. - A month later (in April), I reached back out to service center to check on status. I was told the original person I spoke to was no longer with the company, and the part wasn't the issue. - I asked to speak with a manager; was told to speak to Jeff. - Left multiple messages with Jeff, but he never got back to me. -Filled out the "service form", also no response. After 10 weeks, I got fed up waiting and went the DIY route. Located YouTube instructions on how to remove the panel. Once I did that, I saw the plywood they used to re-install cover lifter last year (which bears ~150 lbs of load btw) was only 1/8" thick, which would explain why the mechanism failed. I installed a 1" board, then remounted the screws on the lifting arm and closed up the panel. Fingers crossed, this will do the trick. As mentioned, the tub works mostly as advertised; Hot Springs equipment is great. However Capital Hot Tub doesn't seem to care about customers once they've made their purchase. The whole point of paying a premium price is to avoid this kind of hassle, and not have to DIY fix your stuff on the weekend.

The purchase costed more than Costco or an online retailer, but It's well worth it. There are a lot of logistics when purchasing a hot tub such as delivery, installation, electrical, setup and so many other factors. And also warranty. These folks did an amazing job from electrical to set up and so many other items that's needed when setting up a hot tub. The best part is they provide amazing service afterwards. I've had to call for maintenance a few times and capital hot tubs takes care of it. Recently my control display died and Jay came over and took care of everything and was courteous, professional, and he knew his stuff. On top of that Jay also fixed another item under warranty that I wasn't even aware of. If you're looking for a real hot tub please don't buy online. Instead go to these folks and they will make it great and also after.

I called Total Spa after i had another spa repair come…read moreout to take a look at my spa - the reason for the call was that the black hot wire kept tripping the breaker when connected- the "other" company came out right away and after about 10 minutes said to me- Ma'am im really sorry to tell you this but you have a bad circuit board" said i would need to order the part myself due to they not being a master spa dealer- I said ok- immediately ordered the circuit board (670$) and i called the "other" company and told them i ordered the circuit board and that it was expected in 2 days. They then told me i needed to drain all the water out in case we get another cold snap and that they really couldn't tell me when they could come out to install due them being very busy. Told me to drain the water and use a wet vac to get as much water out of the tub as i can- so i proceeded to do as directed, that night i got to thinking about it and just had a bad feeling, so in the am i immediately started looking for a 2nd opinion. That is when i found my life saver Tim- called him- he called me back the next day (friday) and i told him what had been told to me- he said that doesn't sound like a bad circuit board and said he could be out that following Monday- Tim came Monday and within 10 minutes found the problem- just sound bad wiring from the electrician, he fixed it! I am so thankful for Tim! He is very professional, and honest. If i could give Tim and Total Spa 10 STARS i absolutely would! He is your guy for Total Spa Repair!
