I went here for an extraction today after stopping my blood thinners yesterday. The assistant prepped me and the dentist came in. She gave me two Novocain injections and left the room. Then the office manager comes in and tell me the dentist is not comfortable working on me because I yelled. I DID NOT yell. With a numb mouth I was sent home without my extraction. I risked blood clots by stopping my blood thinners for nothing. This is the most unprofessional act by a medical person that I have ever experienced. read more

my experience was good at first I got a partial done with two teeth pulled, and the fit was good and it felt good. It took a little to get used to wearing it in the first month. It broke eating a piece of toast. Upon inspecting it, its two teeth were missing. The wall was very thin where it was connected. I sent pictures to the Aspen Conway and to address this repair and have not heard back from them. And I'm scheduled to go in sometime this month to get the permanent ones. And wondering if I should or shouldn't it since they're not repairing the temporary ones. read more

False advertising on their website. The site says, "Get your denture impressions on first visit and have your teeth the next day." I needed a partial, which is a lott less than a full denture set. Took over 2 months to get the partial . Had 2 different appointments that I wIted over 40 mins past my appt time and left on one of them, and then the second time was to pick up my partial. I had a fight with the staff because I waited so long at this appointment just to get my partial. Thereweres 6 people in the office at the same time with one dentist to take care of everyone and supposedly had to be the one to insert my teeth. Was made to get periodontal work I did not need and insurance would not cover all of it because it said it was not needed according to the information sent to them by the dentist office. Now I am stuck with a $300.00 bill when I was initially told I didn't owe anything. All I wanted was a replacement bridge for the bottom of my mouth, nothing more. They push periodontal work like crazy! All the Hygenist did was run a little tool around my gums and said that was it, no scraping of my teeth or digging in my gums only on the top, none on the bottom of my mouth, took about 30 minutes and they charged my insurance $600.00! and they would only cover half. RUN from this PLACE! My son had his initial and ONLY appointment this morning that was "supposed" to have been @0900hrs this morning. My son and I arrived there @0846hrs. I provided the prefilled/completed information before arriving there and attached my dental information on top. I'm not sure if the receptionist was having a bad day or what, however, she goes to check him in and tells me my son is not scheduled to come in until the following Monday, the 4th @0800hrs. I inform her that date is incorrect as my son has classes in college, so I wouldn't have made the date for then. Originally, I made an appointment for the 21st of September, 2021; @ 0800hrs...I then, changed it in ample enough time-(approx. two weeks out), when he received his class schedule for the Fall semester. After she realized the error, she then continues to "click buttons" then said, Your appointment was for 0800hrs".I told her, "No, my appointment was scheduled for 0900hrs today, I even recieved a call from someone in this office a couple of days ago to confirm his appointment". She then, tells me to hold on and retrieved another lady from the back-(I apologize, for not catching their names in this post, BUT I CAN point them out). The lady comes to the front, there's about two other patients in the office at this time. She tells me, "I'm the one that called you and your appointment was at 0800hrs". I told her, absolutely not, my appointment was/and had always been 0900hrs when I had to reschedule from the original appointment on the 21st of Sept." They look as if they were going to turn us away at first, then she said, "We can take him, but in the future, you need to be on time for future appointments." I WAS INSULTED! I SERVED this Country for 22yrs and she doesn't think I KNOW how to be ON TIME??! The receptionist was trying to get me to fill out paper work that I ALREADY filled out...and I told her to turn the page from the first one-(with all the dental information on it) and she was telling me to sign the financial on that's about 3 pages long...it didn't quite make sense to me WHY you have anything about "West Virgina/ Missouri only" and has a signature right under it, I questioned it and she scribbled in "red" ink and told me not to worry about that part. To be honest, the financial paperwork should be customized to this state, since WE live here! My son/I filled out another form and then, I gave her the copies of the financial portion where it doesn't require a signature..I told her "I already" have these copies, I don't need these". This lady had to nerve to try to embarrass me and said, "Why are you throwing papers at me?" "I said, "Ma'am, I'm not throwing papers at you. UNBELIEVABLE! Instead of taking some responsibility/accountability, you BLAME ME for BEING LATE and saying I'm throwing papers because you guys messed up! We could've had just moved on admitting to a mistake. I didn't cause a scene...I needed my kid to be taken care of as he was provided information from his previous dentist that he had a small cavity-(they even provided the tooth #/location). On account, he "was" a "NEW" patient. The office informed me they like to have their own x rays...etc, when I provided my former dentist all the information to fax the most recent Xrays/paperwork from July 15th, 2021, cleaning; to these guys. Long story short, my son called me and told me that they scheduled him for a cleaning for this upcoming Friday and that the Dr. didn't find a cavity. WHAT??! I told my son to stay there and that I'll be there in 5min...(I only live mins away from this horrible office). I spoke to the Office Manager, Colleen-(the only reason I retrieved her name so that I could identify who was cancelling future appointments for me and my son, so that I wouldn't be charged in the furute). I didn't want to talk in front of the receptionist to Colleen, so I tried calling (THREE times afterwards), to discuss what happened earlier today, but NOBODY answered the phone @ 1100hrs. I paid 6400 put of pocket only to be told it did not include the implant once all other work was done. Visited their office on june 29,2020 and had teeth pulled. No complaints about that. Got my top full denture and bottom partial. Made multiple trips back there,about 40 miles each way and tried to get them where they would fit. Dentist said they could make me new ones but I would have to pay again. Kept dentures until September 18th and was never able to wear them or eat with them. Someone needs to learn how to make teeth that will fit. Did get my money back but I wanted teeth. read more

I had just moved here from out of state and broke a tooth on the drive down. I was able to get in quickly snd everything went smooth. Second visit Dentist informed me after X-rays that I would need 14 visits for fine scale cleaning. Now my previous dentist would do it in two visits. I told the dentist I would rather just have the tooth pulled, (I was looking at $3,200). He raised his voice and said in a tone unacceptable, "If you think you can just come in here to get your teeth pulled, I'm not the one". Hard to get a hold of anyone on the phone. Most likely after they do their initial test you will get a diagnosis, that will cost a lot of $$$. I fell for the scam to have scaling done and it cost $1500.00. My boyfriend went in and his teeth are in great shape and has better teeth then me. They did the exact same thing with him as far as diagnosis. The quote for him was even higher. He did not do it. When I looked at depth of pockets in comparison on their print out between mine and his it was about the same. He went to another dentist in the area and they said his teeth were in great shape. We came from Alexandria, Va and at our last visits there just about 6 months before the Aspen Dental visit, we had no issues or needed any deep scaling done. read more

I had a toothache and went to Aspen. They told me I needed my wisdom teeth pulled. I set up an appointment on 3/17/22. I went into the appointment that morning and was told the doctor did not show up. I rescheduled to 3/23 (today) at 1:30. I got a call at 9:30 and again said the doctor did not show up. A couple of months ago I had terrible tooth pain and Aspen Dental saw me that day and took care of me. I ended up getting a root canal and everyone was very nice and supportive. I just got my routine cleaning the other day and the hygienist was friendly and gentle. The dentist is very patient and takes the time to explain everything. Was completely awful. They messed up my first scheduling and turned me away when I showed up for it. Scheduled it for another day. Then when I went in and got examined. They told me I had just sensitivity and needed a bonding. Mind you my front tooth was broken in half and I told them I could not eat and it was hurting. But because it was not bleeding or swelling it was not an emergency. Therefore I started crying and they left me in the room all alone until i could gather myself from crying so much, then i got up to leave myself and no one showed me out. The worst experience ever. All I wanted was a routine cleaning. They took over 30 x-rays plus a panagram, then probed around my gums with a pic stating numbers with each probe. They then informed me that I had infection in the upper back teeth on each side that would require "deep cleaning and flushing out, which would be numbed first". The dentist then came in and informed me that two of my teeth needed crowns and a third might also. After almost 2 hours there I found I was not even getting my cleaning that I would have to be rescheduled. I turned down the crowns and said I just wanted a "routine cleaning" , which I was informed they couldn't do that with my "periodontal disease". I wasn't told that I wouldn't even get my cleaning with the first visit. I'll never go back there! read more

The district manager was in charge of appointment and has notes that the appointment was arranged approximately. First time at Aspen dental, Conway. The Dentist Bullied me. He claimed every stain on my mouth was a cavity based on their "x-rays". They Do Not clean your teeth before "examination" so he chiped a piece of tarter from a tooth, showed me and said "see, you got cavities". Argumentative, he offered No resolution, just kept waiting for me to react, so I took off the Bib, got up and walked out. He claimed I had to go to a Specific institution to get a 2nd opinion on their Xrays. Their was no staff at the front as I left, so I guess they're use to this. read more

READ! ASPEN DENTAL I had an appointment today with Aspen Dental for a cleaning after waiting months. I was told to be there at 7:45am. Stood outside in cold for 15 minutes. The dental assistant did a 3D of my teeth. Used the machine while wiping the spit with a gloved hand each time taking it out of my mouth, and touching the computer screen. Another dental assistant used the same 3D machine on a different patient without cleaning. I reminded the dental assistant it had not been cleaned. So how do I know it was cleaned before it was used on me. I then was taken back to exam room for additional exam. The receptionist then took me for a reviewing gave me a date in May for cleaning. I returned back to the office to retrieve my insurance card. I decided to talk to the office manager about my experience today which I did. I then received a clean date for this Thursday at 11:30am. I was concerned that there is so many diseases you can contract through body fluids as I expressed to management. I received a call 4 hour later canceling my appointment and was told to go to the MB office for service. Conway office would not extend me service. Complete scam. They don't care about you or your teeth they just want money. Honestly just do some research on the place and if the horror stories don't scare you away you can get what you need from them all you have to do is tell them no when they want to do something other than what you came for. No matter what they will ask you for x rays just say no especially if you already had x rays done in the past at another office just get them transferred. it's almost a 1,000 dollar charge for new x rays they will charge your for dental products (mouth wash, toothbrush, ect) without you knowing so just check your bill for that and tell them to take it off almost 100 for each product. Make sure that your insurance is acceptable with them before you have anything done because they'll charge you either way. They charge extra for everything so make sure they only do what you came there for or you'll be in debt. read more

Alexis was wonderful at Aspen Dental in Conway, SC . She took time to explain in explicit detail everything she was doing before and reasons why. I was tortured and terrorized by Dr. Heiden in Florence as a child. I'll never forget the cruel and painful experiences as they become memories. Going to the dentist is something I fear greatly. Today, I must say Alexis, Dr. Patel, Sue, Amanda, and Dawn showed empathy towards what I've been through. The staff was a command of excellent in kindness and compassion. Alexis was Constantly Asking me if I was okay while letting me know I was never alone. She even asked what I wanted to watch on the tv screen or if I wanted to watch music videos or listen to music. Sue, the dental hygienist, was detailed in her explanations and even showing visuals as she explained some problems and the corrections needed. Dr. Patel came in to check on me frequently and asked if I was comfortable. I must say in all fairness , this experience beginning with Alexis was not frightening. The staff wore bright colorful colors and images on the wall were colorful . The office was an open, airy environment with bright colorful artwork on every wall. read more
