The staff at this location need additional training. I went in for wisdom removal, the staff confirmed with me multiple times that they checked with my insurance all of my details and what is and is not covered. Confirmed with me there would be no additional charges if I paid in full up front, so I trusted them and paid in full before my procedure. Then after my surgery they sent me a bill that was double my original invoice. The staff do not pick up the phone when you have billing questions, the regional manager does not respond to emails. Avoid this location. Plenty of great dental practices in the area with responsive and honest staff. The oral surgeon here is amazing and very nice, makes sense why he only works here once a month. read more

I have been a patient here for a couple years and had a routine appointment in April 2025 with no reported issues or concerns. However, at my most recent biannual visit a couple weeks ago, I was informed by a new dentist (apparently the practice has changed ownership) that I suddenly had 8 cavities, along with 4 or 5 additional areas requiring Curodont treatment--an out-of-pocket expense not covered by insurance. Even after insurance, I was quoted over $1,000 in treatment costs. Since this was alarming and inconsistent with my previous checkups, I sought a second opinion at another dental office. They confirmed I have NO cavities, and even re-checked after hearing about my situation. I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning. Patients should be cautious and seek a second opinion, as the recommendations here felt misleading and profit-driven. Do better. read more

I came in for emergency broken wisdom tooth. Expected to get bite wing Xray of tooth since it was broken completely off. They say they require full mouth films. They said they do it and just bill the insurance. They also required full mouth exam even though I came in for an extraction . I requested to speak with the doctor and the front staff refused even though i wanted to talk about my medical condition which they would need to be aware of. Their sales tactics are too aggressive. I'm not good at standing up for myself, which I admit is a personal problem, but these people take advantage of it. They wouldn't even answer my initial question I called them for without making an appointment first. They also decided my treatment plan for me, without discussing options with me, and quoted me an outrageous price for a lot of unnecessary treatments that I would not have agreed to. Every time I've tried to talk to them about it, they deflect until I give up. If you're in the north Austin area, maybe skip them and try Mallard Dental in Taylor instead. Don't go here. We've had the worst experience. Starting off, we were not notified before the appointment that the hygienist was out. We were told casually in the middle of the x-ray, not even before the appointment! Because they have miscommunication between the receptionist and staff. And the funny thing is, she told us that the steps are x-ray, then cleaning, then 3-D scan. And worse- we got blamed cause apparently we have to call ahead and ask if they have all the people available for each step. Who does that? It's their responsibility to let us know. Even worse- my sister, who is below 18, was coming for the appointment and my mom was going with her. Since she is below 18. The lady said that my mom can't go with her. Later, she told me, about my own mother!, that she felt my mom was overbearing/conservative and wanted the patient to be alone. That is islamophobic I believe, as my mom veils her face and wears a gown. In the middle of my sister's appointment, my mom found out that they didn't tell us about their hygienist being out of town, and was reasonably frustrated. Additionally, she found out they don't do aligners for patients since they're not qualified. Which raises the question- why is that an option when you go to book an appointment? Additionally, I took some extra time during the x-ray due to my gag reflex kicking in and difficulty. The doctor came in and, tauntingly, asked the other girl why the x-ray process took too long. It took too long also cause my mom came in to confront them about why they didn't tell us about their hygienist being out, and they were talking to her about it. So I got embarrassed cause she was inadvertently also taunting me for taking too long in the process. Additionally, the doctor was being rude not only to my mother, but talking bad about her to me! My mom's English isn't well, and she said to her face that she can't understand multiple times instead of helping her appropriately. The doctor said to me multiple times that she couldn't understand what my mom was trying to say in a negative way. Lastly, we said we're not coming here for cleaning cause their hygienist is male, and although I don't veil my face, I'm not comfortable with have a male hygienist cleaning my teeth. The other girl was confused as to why I'm not comfortable as I don't veil my face. That's not her job, or her concern, frankly, to question any decision of mines. read more

Worst place I have ever been for dental care. I was referred to another dental office for parts the dentist wanted to be installed that Aspen could not locate the supplier. Almost $400.00 later, parts installed, a different dentist at Aspen dismisses me, saying they are done with me because the procedure original dentist was doing was not possible without doing an implant! I never asked for, nor wanted an implant. This female dentist was absolutely rude, condescending, and insulting. I am worse off now than I was before I went to Aspen, and a total of $600.00 poorer. Horrible experience!! I was referred by a friend to get my dental treatment done from Dr. Haynes at Aspen Dental Round Rock. I called them and asked for an appointment with Dr. Haynes and the lady gave me a certain date(July 27, 2022) and time and said the appointment was set with Dr. Haynes! I went there and asked the lady that I have an appointment with Dr. Haynes at this time! Her reply was " Dr. Haynes is the owner of this location! She is not here! She is the owner!" I said, but you gave me an appointment for her! She again said "Ma'am she is the owner of this location" I was a bit puzzled as to what to say and as I was in pain I didn't argue on this point and went in for dental exam! The diagnosis was done by the attending Doctor here Dr. Jenise Kwak, I was ok with the diagnosis ( two teeth were fractured and one of them needed RCT) as this was my second opinion. She referred me to Dr. Reza Akhavan at Precision Endodontics for RCT, my experience with Dr. Reza was very good, painless RCT, and he is very courteous and even called me back to check how I was doing! After this I went to get my crown done to Dr. Kwak, the appointment was for one crown but I needed crown on 2 teeth, so she said she could give a temporary crown for both on that day and the permanent would come after 2 weeks! Dr. Kwak came and said it would take 2 hours and put on the music and started drilled my 2 teeth! and then placed the 2 temporary crowns but she didn't check whether it was aligned well! I could not talk at that time as my mouth was numb, I asked the assistant to give and paper and pen, I wrote and asked " Would the bite be OK?" She said yes and asked me to go in a hurry! I came back and when the numbness went away, I had a lot of pain and could not sleep at night! I went to Dr. Kwak next morning, the front desk lady said that she could squeeze me in between 9:30 to 10 AM, I reached there at 9:25 AM, I was seen at 10:45AM! Again, she was in a hurry and drilled the crown a little bit and said now it would be ok! It has been 2 weeks now! And I'm having pain in one tooth and unable to eat on left side, but I'M REALLY SCARED OF GOING BACK TO Dr. KWAK! I called during this week, but the lady said she will call back once they receive the crown, but I'm having pain and have to take Advil everyday and then sleep otherwise the pain shoots into my left ear! I don't know what to do but I'm dead scared to go to Dr. Kwak now! This Aspen Dental location has a lot of patients but only one doctor, so she is attending everyone in a HURRY! I actively dislike this chain. I'm done. I had a terrible experience in San Antonio, and it was only marginally better here. Both at this location and another, I have been charged for a service, gone home, and then was told I need to pay more money for the visit I had with no prior notice. I found out I owed $5 from my last appointment in SA, because I asked for a receipt at my appointment here. There was an additional $5 charge that indicated I owed money for a prior visit on top of paying for the visit I was in. I thought it was strange, but fine, it's $5. I went through with my appointment. They really tried to push me getting Invisalign despite me stating I wasn't concerned about my teeth being straight. They insisted it could be done cheaply, and that I should definitely look into it for the health of my teeth, as the miss alignment could eventually cause them to shatter. They repeated the word "shatter" like I'm deeply putting my teeth in serious risk by not buying into their expensive orthodontia. After all that nonsense was done, I get scheduled for a cleaning in 6 months. As I leave, I ask the front desk about why there was an additional $5 charge for my visit. She indicates that I had to pay off the previous balance in order to be seen. Cool, not what I asked, I want to know why it was there. She said I had to call the previous office and ask them what the charge was for. I'm not doing all that for $5. Months later I get a random piece of mail not from Aspen Dental, but from a collections agency indicating I owe $20+ for my previous appointment. WHAT?! You have my e-mail and phone number, you clearly have my address, why am I suddenly being sent to collections? Why on Earth am I being charged more again out of nowhere? Unacceptable. I called a while back to cancel my appointment because I'm tried of this money-grabbing nonsense. When I called on a Monday around 2pm, a get a machine telling me their hours (Monday 9am- 7pm), and that I should call back during their regular hours. Um? That's what I'm doing right now? I called again at 5, managed to get someone on the phone and canceled. Avoid this place. read more

I've had zero issues with this location. Izzy is fantastic as all of the front staff are. Both the fill in and reg dentist are very aware of your concerns with dentistry and the pain it can cause. The hygenist was also amazing. I have super bad teeth and haven't been the greatest at taking care of them. So for what I needed the payment want near as expensive as I thought. I do have decent insurance but I paid far more for a root canal somewhere else than I've paid for 3 cleanings, a root canal and 4 crowns. I won't go Anywhere else. read more

This is the used car dealership of dental offices. I had an appointment canceled because they changed the time. Another I tried to call many times but only got their voicemail without a return call. When I finally got an appointment they spent a large portion of time trying to convince me I need Invisalign. I declined many times! Then they told me I had 2 teeth with deep pockets in the gums. They wanted me to book an cleaning based on cash prices because they didn't know what my insurance would cover. I asked them to contact me with coverage costs. Two weeks later I called them, because they had not contacted me with my insurance pricing, to be told they wanted over $200 for a cleaning. They completely refused to do a normal cleaning. I've had regular dental care all my life without needing an overpriced cleaning. Avoid this office unless your pockets are deeper then your common sense!! read more

They are unprofessional and do not care about their patients. They do not follow up on urgent matters properly. They take no responsibility and lack empathy for their patients even when the issue is caused by them. They botched a root canal and of course want to take no financial responsibility. The entire time it's caused a severe infection and abscess but they have had dismissive and unprofessional attitudes. Hailey is the front desk manager and makes it clear she doesn't care about your pain or concerns and is unprofessional. Do not use Aspen Dental. It's a chain and they do not provide good care. My first visit here and I do not recommend. I wanted a check up and cleaning. I was given an expensive treatment plan and asked to prepay for my cleaning the next day. The cleaning appointment needed to be rescheduled due to me double booking my appointments, and when I called to reschedule and get a refund on my card I was asked, " Why, are you going to a different dentist?" and was advised I would not receive a refund until approximately six weeks later because "our office bills at the first of each month- and it will take two weeks after that to receive your refund". I was told as a new customer I had a coupon applied to my account which made my entire visit free, but I was previously told by the appointment scheduler that my insurance covered all costs. Things don't add up. My funds are being held for services not rendered. read more

I saw Aspen Dental ad on Austin TV while working there. Part of my molar had broken from biting on a foreign object in my food. The sharp tooth edge was cutting into my tongue. Since I am from out of State, I asked Aspen dental to file off the sharp edge until I got home to see my Dentist. The Aspen dentist wanted to pull the tooth and made me sign a waiver and charged me nearly $ 200 to file off the sharp edge of my molar. Bait and Switch advertising. Very unprofessional. read more

So first they entered the wrong insurance, then my son and I had to wait for about an hour to be seen, then they were short staffed and left me in the xray room for 20 min. Also they tried to sell me like a thousand dollars worth of crap I did not need. Told them all about this - November 2022 - and got an oops sorry. Then at my next appointment they wondered why my bp was elevated - duh. They did not even submit that claim at all so I got a letter from insurance saying it wasn't paid for. Tried to get in touch with them for days but their internet crashed or whatever. Everyone was rude. At one point they wanted to change an appointment and left a vm saying they needed to. I called back and they put me on hold to never come back. I waited on hold for 10 min with no response. They are rude, unprofessional and excrementally disorganized and incompetent. If you were considering going to them before they went off line, consider it a blessing in disguise. Go any where else. Literally - any where else. read more

I transferred to the Round Rock location another Aspen Dental location. Bre is the Office Manager for the Round Rock Texas location. Bre has gone above and beyond to make my visits at the Round Rock location successful. Bre was able to bring my files up to date so that I could move forward with my treatment. I know that office is very busy but you couldn't tell by Bre's demeanor and patience. Bre is a woman of her word, if she says she will call you back, she will call. I don't mind driving the extra distance to the Round Rock location because of the customer service Bre provides at the that location. Thanks Bre for your excellent service. read more

We had the worst experience ever. The Round Rock office is unprofessional. The never call you back. They send texts out when they change appointment times. They do not give courteous calls to ask if it is okay to move it. They did not schedule us appropriately. Over charged us. They did not perform the whole care. Also, like to argue with customers. I am done. We will not return. We will try a different office or a different place all together. I do not recommend this location. The Austin Office seemed more organized if you want to stick with Aspen Dental. I would not ever Recommend going to the Round Rock office. What a wonderful experience. I basically had all of my teeth extracted and was given a beautiful smile in return. Dr. Haynes is not only a beautiful, caring person ,she is as exceptional dentist.
