I went to​ this place not even 2 years ago off N. Newport hwy in spokane after they gave me free dentures after trying to convince to buy $35,000 pair of implant dentures which i told them multiple times i could not afford​ and barely could afford basic pair with a baby due in a week and now my dentures have broken 3 time since I got them and the 2nd time I went in they tried to charge me almost $400 to fix them not even having them 2 months at that point after getting them they are broken again after biting into soft costco pizza bought and eaten at Costco. Just super frustrated that they have broke in the safe place 3 times within 2 years and all I eat is soft stuff maybe besides chips. Just wish they could stand behind the quality of thier work now I have to try and gorilla glue them together till I can find a denture place to get me in and have to go to work possibly without them which I work at a school with special needs kids and I'm probably going to horrify them and freak them out if I cant​ wear my teeth. Husband went to Aspen on Newport Hwy. He wanted new o-rings and cleaning of posts and dentures. Aspen said they could not do it because he had an infection under one of the denture posts and the post would need removed and moved to the other side and he would then have to replace the entire bottom denture. They said they would give him every discount available and quoted him almost $3700. They did not prescribe any antibiotic for the infection though which I thought sounded suspect. I sent my husband to my Dentist who also does dentures for a second opinion which after an exam and x-rays found no infection under the post and cleaned and replaced the o-rings for under $500. Wow! Aspen Dental is nothing more than a glorified car dealership, complete with scare tactics, inflated prices, and zero genuine concern for their patients. My experience with them was a nightmare from start to finish. First, they padded the bill to an absurd $15,000 for procedures they claimed were *immediately* necessary. They used fear tactics to pressure me, saying I had an infection that could "travel to my heart." Yet when I questioned their billing practices and sought a payment plan, they refused, insisting it had to be paid upfront. Desperate for a solution, I sought a second opinion and found a local dentist who not only charged HALF the price but also offered payment options for the same procedures. The final straw came when my wife returned to retrieve the X-rays they took during my visit. She was met with open hostility from both the front desk staff and the dentist himself. He dismissed her concerns, interrupted her repeatedly, and even had the audacity to wave his hand in her face as he arrogantly proclaimed, "I don't care what the policy says about giving you the X-rays." For a place that was so insistent about the severity of my condition, they certainly weren't eager to release the X-rays that could have helped me. Instead, the dentist was solely focused on being "paid" for them, a mere hour after his dire warnings about my health. While some of the supporting staff were kind, the dentist was pompous, dismissive, and fake. They feign concern for your well-being until you dare to question them, at which point their true colors come out. Save yourself the time, money, and stress--this place has a low rating for a *very* good reason. So I am updating my review. I still believe in my Hygienist Nicole and the dentist that did my tooth extractions. However I do now completely agree with the numerous bad ratings for the office manager and unscrupulous practices. When I was brought into her office to discuss my recommended care plan the cost was $14,000+ and my out of pocket was going to be about $12,000 after insurance which I was very clear I could not afford. We removed the implants and the total cost was just over $8,000... My cost after insurance was just over $5,000. I had money left in my health savings account. She recommended applying for financing for the difference which I agreed to. I got approved for $2500 through credit care and with my HSA I only have an out of pocket expense of $800. Today I got a credit decline notice from a bank they ran for financing. The office manager ran the applications for the original $14,000+... Which I clearly didn't approve of. I am not happy at all with this unethical practice. I agree with the multiple reviews complaining about the cost and practice of this aspect of Aspen Dental. I will go to the follow-up appointment for my tooth extractions but I will be looking for a new provider after the 1st of next year. I might also seek out legal advice regarding running a credit application for an amount that was not agreed to. read more

Between the Deltacare USA plan and Aspen dental I would have to say it was the biggest scam I've ever witnessed. I told them ALL my wife wanted was a teeth cleaning when I called, they said she had to have exam and pics first. Ok I said. Drove 40 miles to get there kids in tow, and they didn't have time for cleanings and she needed a deep cleaning ($3,169 minus insurance discount $1779, came to $1330 out of pocket) Insurance covered nothing for deep cleaning. I looked up what a deep cleaning should cost online (2 sites quoted $150-$350). So I called a different dentist, they quoted $1008 WITHOUT insurance. I called Aspen back and asked for a quote without using insurance (they didn't want to give it at first), then Quoted me over $4000. I will never step foot back in Aspen dental and will be changing insurance for next year. read more

I had a tooth repaired there. After the procedure, I was having problems and they never answered their phone when I called to try and get help. After being in severe pain for a couple more days, I went to another dentist. Unfortunately, due to our insurance only allowing these crooks, I had to pay out of pocket for the second dentist. Even so, it was worth it to finally get my tooth fixed as anyone who has had extreme tooth pain can tell you. Looking at the Procedure Plan's expenses compared to the out of pocket expenses from the other dentist, it was easily apparent that they charge about 3 times what a normal dentist charges. Also, beware signing the procedure plan, they have fine print there to make sure that they are not on the hook for working with your insurance company. Lots of "we may or may not charge you more or less and you are responsible for anything we charge" fine print to financially screw you over. Don't go here. Avoid them if you possibly can. If you get assigned to this dental office by your insurance company, do everything you can to get reassigned to another dentist. It's just not worth it. read more

Went to them with a denture that they had made 2 yrs prior and wanted it repaired as it had broke. The said that they would repair it if I bought new dentures. I insurance said that that was okay so I went ahead and did it with the understanding that they would fix the old one while I waited for the new one. I came back for the repaired denture and they had put a "hard reline" in and now they didn't fit at all. The dentist ground the denture down till there was practically nothing left so now it won't stay in no matter how much denture glue I use. To fix it they did a "soft reline" which did nothing for the fit. I went ahead and did the new denture with the understanding that the dentist that had messed up the old one wouldn't be doing the new one. I received the new denture and with some fitting it seemed alright. I left the dentist office with my new denture and that is when I had more problems I bit into some steamed cabbage and the two front teeth fell out, it wasn't hard, they just fell out. Now I have to find a new dentist to get my dentures from as my repaired ones don't align and I can't eat with them. I had a poor experience and definitely would now recommend them. read more

I was assigned by my Delta Care plan to the N. Spokane location. The staff were pleasant. This location does not treat children under the age of 6. So they were able to get me scheduled for a cleaning and a referral for my son to a pediatric dentist. During my visit attempted to charge me an extra $30 for a cancer screening and an attempt to offer Invisalign for a gap in my front teeth. I get the process for offering Invisalign but it doesn't take two attempts to sale me on it. $30 for a cancer screening, when you are already cleaning my teeth, I am not really understanding the added benefit. The doctor did his usual consult like prior dentist have done in the past. Last, so far it has taken 3 attempts for them to submit a referral to see a pediatric dentist. My dental plan was able to help by getting them on the phone and hopefully there will be follow through on there end. Although the staff is nice, I would recommend another dentist office. My goal is to switch dental plans during my next open enrollment period. This place just seems to corporate. read more

The entire experience was demeaning. The first thing out of the dentist's mouth was commenting on my teeth not being straight. He was then going over a fluoride treatment, which sounded like an extra wash with cleaning. When I go to discuss my treatment with the money person, I find out I was "diagnosed" for Invisalign and a cleaning that was $1,630 after insurance. I then couldn't get a regular check up cleaning because that wasn't "diagnosed". I left with no cleaning, having taken the morning off work and having to pay $30 to be told I need to straighten my teeth. I'd also like to note that I've talked to numerous dentists about my teeth in the past (surprising, I know, but I'm aware my teeth aren't straight), and every time have been told Invisalign would not be an option because of how my teeth grow. You can't tell me looking at my mouth for barely a minute overrode all of those professional opinions, including one from an actual orthodontist. I can't help but believe it was just a money grab. I have been to this office several times. They have made mistakes at almost every single appointment. My last appointment I made to get whitening trays that were not given to me after my whitening treatment. The appointment was for this specifically. They spent an hour and a half doing an exam and X-rays, then told me they had to schedule me over a month out for the whitening trays. Broke a tooth while in Spokane area. Aspen was able to get me in immediately. After an exam I was encouraged to get a root canal and 2 crowns at an initial appointment. OK. Final, permanent crowns were placed a month later. One of the permanent crowns broke off less than a week later. I went in and was told the crown couldn't be reset, I needed a tooth extraction and implant for many thousands of dollars more. They did not acknowledge that they messed up and should apply the huge cost of the botched crown to the extraction and implant. Also they said I had to endure the toothless place where the crown that broke off was supposed to be, no point in them trying to recement it till the next appointment. read more

I was totally unaware that Jessica had also received payment for the same procedures from United Healthcare, & the final insult was when I asked for a receipt Jessica wouldn't give me a receipt for the cash payment, just for the credit card $500.00. She was asked over & over but she refused & wouldn't give me a reason why. I was told by another denturist that are so many patient legal suits in courts that all of them cannot be heard. I was in need of a dentist ASAP. My mouth started throbbing on one side this last weekend, but every office in town was closed and I couldn't call in to schedule an appointment. My friend recommended I look into Aspen Dental. I went to their website and I was super excited to see that they do appointments online!!! They had appointments available right away too. The other cool thing is they do text reminders for your appointment dates.I was so excited! If you want to bypass some waiting time they have new patient forms you can print out and bring in. The gal who did my xray was super friendly and tried to get them done as quickly as possible because she knew how uncomfortable it could be. We did about 18 shots and if you sit still enough they can get them all done quickly. The office is brand new and smells amazing. I sense a hint of spice for the holiday season. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. They have great financing options to work with your budget if insurance doesn't cover everything. During my particular visit I did have to wait a little longer than usual, but they were super friendly, kept me company, and I got to watch whatever TV shows I wanted while I waited. I understood the busy morning they were having. What was really amazing is after my free consultation they said I was in need of a root canal. Guess what these amazing people did. They squeezed me into their schedule for today to fix the pain I was having!!! The regional manager even ran out to the Valley location to grab the equipment that location borrowed to be able to fix my tooth today!!! What amazing customer service. During my procedure, the doctor noticed that my tooth might not need the root canal. It was definitely too close to call until they got into my tooth. I found that absolutely amazing. Any business that will save me from an unnecessary procedure and save me money in the end deserves my business. Definitely going to recommend my family. I was charged around $1350 for deep cleaning 7 teeth and a tooth they were going to replace the crown on. Every appointment I had a different Dr or tech. There was some confusion between the sales dept, the Dr's and what work was to be done. This confusion ended in me receiving and paying for a crown I didn't need. The only thing they were interested in was selling implants that I told them from the start I could not afford. The equipment did not work efficiently and upon closer examination was not as clean as you would have expected. I would never recommend this place. Don't even think about using this company! My mother went to them to have two teeth removed, that were causing her pain. The dentist would not remove the teeth and said that her only option was to have all her teeth removed and to get dentures. The dentist advised her that it would cost $7000.00 for everything and that they would be guaranteed and adjusted as needed for 7 years. My mother agreed to this and made the appointment to have her teeth pulled and the dentures made. The staff did not advise her well about the procedure and said that she would be able to drive herself home. She is a very petite woman over 80, having all her teeth pulled! Thankfully I went with her. She was very bruised and bleeding after the procedure. With a mouth full of gauze, she would have struggled to drive, pick up her required prescriptions or communicate if there were any issues. When I drove her to get her prescriptions, she was prescribed penicillin, which she is deathly allergic to. She had advised the staff about her medicine allergies, but someone screwed up. Again, this would have likely killed her, if alone, in pain, and she did not realize the mistake! She was advised by the dentist, that she would have her new teeth put in, within a few days after the procedure to pull her teeth. When she went to the dentist to get her teeth, the dentist said that she was too swollen and bruised. When she voiced her frustration, the dentist was rude and tossed her teeth into her lap and told her to put them in herself. When she addressed the issue of the cost increase and that it was not the amount agreed to with the dentist, again the staff was rude! I went to the office with my mother and observed their poor attitudes and complete lack of appropriate customer service. On one occasion, I attempted to address it to one member (a heavy, middle aged blond lady), and she would neither look at me or respond, in their front office with other patients waiting. I was dumbfounded and left speechless. I nor my mother was ever rude or insulting to the staff. After multiple discussions with the staff about the issues she was having, there was never an apology or desire to make things right. My mom sought a second opinion from a different dental office, and days after, received a letter from the dentist at Aspen, stating that they would no longer see her as a patient. Later she received a bill for more than the cost for of performing the complete procedure, even after they said that they would not see her as a patient. We have the letter! My mother said she would not pay it and they sent her to a collection agency. My mother went to the Dental Association which worked with her and Aspen to come to an agreement. Aspen said that they would refund her a specific amount via check, within 5 days. They did not. When called, they said they had sent it to the collection agency. This would still leave her owing the collection agency over 700.00 for something that they never completed and when they turned her away as a patient. For the customer service aspect alone, I would never recommend them. They were horrible! Never an apology or anything said to attempt to resolve any issues. It seemed all about money, not about caring for their patients! Please do your homework and read any-and-all reviews about this company. We wish that we had. I cracked a tooth and are getting ready for surgery and all I need was to have the tooth fixed before surgery. I made appointment to be seen. They saw me and could not fix it that day. So I made appointment for another day. Paid for it in advance. When I got to my appointment they told me they could not fix it unless I agreed to making a new bridge. One has nothing to do with the other. I am a Regional Manger myself, and I understand making sales ,the bridge work pays better that a tooth fix. I had a crown put on one of my back teeth. The first prep work for the crown shattered. They re-did the prep work. The bill was 2000 out of pocket because they could not bill my insurance company correctly. My crown came off while eating, so I went in to have them glue it back on. Three weeks ago I had an emergency due to a very strong pain in a tooth that extended through my jaw, my head and ear, when I looked online for an emergency dentist all I could find was Aspen dental, to all the numbers I called They redirected me to them, when I went to see them they told me that I had an infection in a root canal and that I had to wait the 10 days in order to see the specialist, they sent me home with out antibiotics or pain killers they only suggested me to take over the counter Tylenol , The made me pay $600 in order to see the specialist in advance that was going "to replace", I am Colombian and I have a trusted dentist in my country, when I called him and sent him the x-rays, he could not believe the medical negligence and he recommended that I should travel immediately so he could safe the teeth as soon as possible, unfortunately I had already pay the 600 in advance in the mis of my despair (I payed more than what a ticket to my country would cost) every day that passed was torture, I couldn't sleep, I couldn't work, I couldn't do anything at all and the medicine stopped working, I called them and their only recommendation was to increased the amount of Tylenol and take it every two hours, another medical negligence since taking that amount of Tylenol for ten days will damage the liver, so I went to see a different dentist to be able to get a prescription for antibiotics and pain killers in order to be able to control the infection and wait, The worst part was when the day to "solve the problem" arrived, when I went to see the endodontist, everything started from scratch as if I were a new patient and the guy had no idea of ​​my emergency, due to lack of attention the infection had spread so much that it was no longer possible to change the root canal, they had to either remove my tooth or have and expensive surgery. It felt like they didn't prescribed me any antibiotics in purpose in order to make me pay for a surgury with no mercy. I was going to have to wait almost a month to receive any treatment, from the frustration I started crying and I guess that finally someone felt sorry for what I was going through and the endodontist was the only person that was honest and try to provided any help, he finally prescribed me some pain killers and strong antibiotics, he also try to contact someone who could make the surgery that had nothing to do with Aspen because apparently he is aware that they are mediocre and thieves, in the end I'm traveling to Colombia to get treated since here I could not get a specialist, with those 600 dollars that I paid for a terrible service I would have paid my ticket and part of the treatment in my country and avoid all the frustration and the pain I had to go through.
