Only problem I have with them is that most companies I've worked with will apply the service call fee (~$125 in this case) towards the actual repair if a repair is needed, and Register Appliance does not. Generally, the service call fee is to cover the cost of sending a service tech out when no actual service is needed--and maybe covering a very, very simple fix (like tightening a loose hose or something). In this company's case, this is not true. To be clear, I was informed of this when I booked them, so this was NOT a surprise, but I was also in a bit of a tough spot, as my mother needed a working dryer immediately.

If you know that you need an assistance from a staff member then make sure to go during the week M-F between 8am to 5pm to be able to get their best help. I had surgery & couldn't lift more than 5# so I couldn't actually use the vacuum untill day 11 after purchase. Well, when I finally got to use it, I loved the vacuum itself but it was a lot heavier than I expected when it came to going up and down the stairs with it. It was also very bulky when it came to vacuuming around furniture, cat beds, etc in my townhome. I looked at the receipt to check the return policy and it's only 7 days for a full money return!!! OMG!! The sales person (owner? not sure) was pleasant & easy to work with during purchase (but who wouldn't be when you are about to sell one of the most expensive vacuums in your store). She did not verbally tell me about this 7 day return policy before purchase - that's bad customer service especially when she knew that I had surgery & couldn't lift the whole vacuum (I drove my car to the front door & she lifted the box into my car). I called today to clarify if my eyes were reading it correctly & she confirmed the 7 day policy & said very sarcastically, "well, that's why we have carpet so you can try it out in the store." Um, all I could do was move the handle part back & forth on the carpet to get a feel for the ease of moving it back & forth - she doesn't have a 2nd floor to carry the canister up & down (not that I could have done it that day anyway). Be a better business owner and either (1) make a more reasonable return policy or (2) ensure that you are 1000% transparent about the crappy return policy. Full disclosure - there is a 30 day return for "store credit" - however, this is a specialty vacuum store with very limited choices that are going to have similar heavier features as the one I bought.

I had fun looking through the shelves, but my only complaint is that the shelves aren't entirely organized. The store is organized by section (kitchen, office, living room, etc), but the shelves within each section kind of just have a bunch of items on them for you to sift through. This could be a plus or minus, depending on what you're looking for from a shopping experience.
