I paid for yearly maintenance and it has been pulling teeth to get the maintenance scheduled. Then when we had it scheduled, no one showed up. Eventually, after calling and complaining, they sent someone next day. Nothing had to be done - we were told - but when the guy left, my heat would not stop. My house is over 80° and nothing will stop the heat from going. The answering service yelled at me that they cannot do anything but leave a message. (It is 1pm Saturday and yelp says they are supposed yo be open until 4pm.) They suggested to just open all the doors and windows until someone comes. We waited and waited, no call back. So my hubby had to shut down the electrical circuit that serves the HVAC so we fo not die of heat exhaustion. I guess we'll have to pay someone else to fix what Associated Services broke. Update. Spent $180 to get someone to remove the jumper (see photo) that Associated Services put in to disconnect our furnace from the thermostat. Lesson learned - NEVER CALL ASSOCIATED SERVICES AGAIN!!! Our heater had been having tantrums (as Isaiah put it :0D) since last year. Another company came out and cleaned it, charged me, and left. It continued to have tantrums. This year it went out. I called and spoke to Terry. She immediately pulled over and took down my information. Told me if her tech would be available same day she would send him out. A few hours later she called back and said no one would be available same day but had scheduled a Saturday tech to come out between 8-10AM. Our friend Isaiah shows up right on time. We have a conversation and within an hour our home is now warm again. Thanks to Terry and Isaiah we will no longer wake up in the middle of the night with frozen faces. Thank you Associates. P.S. Updated review. I looked at previous reviews here and I see people talking about Richard and his "no shows" and rude behavior. Richard is vindictive for sure. The condenser on our Lennox is going out. I called Associated Services on 5/26/22 and spoke with their receptionist. They built this system. They should be able to provide me warranty information. I advised her of our situation and asked about the warranty on it. She and I had a great conversation. I was willing to put the past in the past and move forward with using their services. I was happy to be back working with them again because they built our system. She was kind and I appreciated the conversation. The receptionist tells me to call her back tomorrow and she will get more information and we can go from there. I call today and it's a completely different conversation. "Oh we are short on staff and that's why we don't cover Gilroy area anymore" but yesterday they did cover the area. She literally pushed me off to find out on my own. To find another company to do the work because they can't do it. Once again, burned by AS. I called Costco and I'm waiting for a call back to discuss this situation. This is not a diamond certified company and no one should be left without a working heater or HVAC in difficult weather. Over $30k we gave this company for HVAC, heating and a water heater and yearly maintenance for at least 5 years after that. Such a great relationship in the beginning. read more

I called Associated Services on Tuesday to come and check my heater, it was not turning on The office manager was able to get an appointment for me Friday, but informed me that if there was a cancellation , or if a tech had time, they would give me a call. Several hours later, I received a call from Isaiah, the tech. He said he could be at my house within minutes, I happily agreed and thanked him. Isaiah diagnosed the problem within minutes and thank goodness it was a simple reset inside the unit. He gave me options on what I could do if problems keep recurring. I had to have Associated Services come to my condo today to look at my furnace. The gentleman was very prompt at the time he said he would be here. He took a look and was quick with the diagnosis. "The gas thermo coupling is no good. Your unit is so old you need a whole new one." I informed he need to contact my landlord make arrangements with them. "Not a problem. I will write an estimate and they will get back to you." Then he kept tinkering with the furnace. Few more minutes go by and then... "Mam I was wrong. It's just your thermostat. I have a replacement in the truck. I will be right back." What?!? Really?!? When it was my house I needed a $2000 new furnace then as soon as it was a rental it's just a $30 thermostat. Wow. I am not a fan of being taken advantage of. I will let the landlord know you were trying to screw me. Good job losing my business. read more

I can't believe this company got my neighbor's furnace going again. They are selling and don't care about safety. It's over 40 years old and owner knows that old furnace is leaking gas. Rescheduled this week, and they did the exact same thing. When I called in, Richard told me they weren't going to come because other people needed them more even though I made an appointment. After letting him know how upset I was for having to take another day off of work for the second time in a row and being stood up again, he said that they would come out in the afternoon even though my appointment was at 8:00 AM. These guys are true pros. I wanted a split-system heat pump for my master bedroom and after some research called Associated. They came out, twice, on their nickel to make sure they knew what the job required and that I knew what to expect. They even called their electrician to discuss getting power to the new second floor unit from the garage. On the day of the install they had 3 trucks and five people here plus the electrician (one more truck, two more technicians). They attacked the job like a well trained team with each sub-team working on a different part of the install. It took almost 2 days but they were very clean, polite and professional during the entire job. It worked great and just in time for a hot spell. I had one problem related to programming the thermostat and two of their senior guys came right out to meet me and fix the problem. The reception and scheduling staff is great as well. I was quoted a price of between $1100 to $5400 depending on what I wanted done. I got Associated Services number from a friend at our church. The person who came out was Thomas. So at 4:00 Pm that day I called to see if he would make it that day. The man that answered the phone said he would contact him right away and he would call back. No call back no show that day or through the weekend. The next business day I called at 8:30 AM and the woman who answered said she would contact him and he would get back. No show, no call. These guys are talented at what they do, but both times I have used their services, they did not keep their appointments with me. One time they did not show up at all and I could not get a hold of them to ask where they were, and the next time I waited to 30 minutes past the appointment time, and the tone of his voice made it sound like they totally forgot about me. All this made me miss over 4 hours of work. They are the company my property management company uses, so I guess I'm stuck. While having our roof replaced, we noticed that we needed replacement of the gutters and also the heating ducts in our attic, that was damaged by rodents. Richard's crew worked in conjunction with the roofer during the roofing project. They had to replace all the heating ducts in the attic. The heating duct project took only one day, during the time of the roofing project. They used very high quality products that even one of the inspectors was impressed with. Richard's crew suspended all of the heating ducts that they replaced, off of the attic floor and secured them around the attic beams. On the inside of our house, if they had to access the attic at all during the day, through the attic door in our hallway, they laid a long tarp on our carpet so it would not get it dirty. They kept the work area extremely clean and they answered all questions before during and after the job was completed. As for the gutters, we picked the color and style that we wanted and they made the gutters on site and then the gutters were installed. We had one concern during the heating duct installation, and Richard calmly listened to our concerns and it was immediately resolved. The project was on time and on budget. They are also doing a furnace tune up for us this coming week . We would recommend Associated Services to anyone that is looking for heating air conditioning or gutter replacement. read more

I'm so excited i can dry my clothes now! We had our ventilation looked at and purchased a fan. These guys came out and made sure everything was working properly. Associated installed new gutters and downspouts on my house. The job took almost three months!! They first installed no seam gutters with expansion joints that stood out like a sore thumb. I called to complain and it took three weeks and four separate phone calls to get someone to come out and fix them. The downspouts were color matched to my house and they installed them with silver sheet metal screws on the outside. I had the give me an estimate at the beggining of the job for a new heater... $15,000.00 for a less than 1700 square foot home made me shut the door in their face. Their communication with us on a simple job was horrible. I would not recommend them to CLEAN my gutters! read more
