I had a tankless water heater go out in the coldest stretch of winter. My thermostat (we have radiator heating) was reading 41 degrees. When calling companies on 12/28, I was being told by many they couldn't see me until early January. G.A. Eberly took my call and checked with their maintenance team to see how they could fit me in on the same day. They had a lead technician (Steven) hop on the phone and get information about what I was experiencing, before finding a way to slot me in. Steven even called back about 30 minutes later to offer a quick fix solution to see if we could get our heat back on. Excellent service! Chris was the technician dispatched. He came on time and quickly diagnosed the issue. He was friendly, helped get a fix in place, and was out the door in no time. I was happy with the price paid for what essentially amounted to a service call, even though he helped fix my issue. Excellent experience working with them. They seemed very comfortabe with my tankless system. My shop vac was to the right of us as I was using it to get the water up the day before. I told them I can use it myself, they said no no sir, we have our own shop vac we'll use to get the water up. They said verbatim "we'll take care of the water." Well, they did not. They cleaned the lines doing the hydro jet and apparently got my dad to cut them a check while leaving my laundry room and the adjacent bathroom, flooded with nasty-soot filled water. It's amazing how they didn't check with me prior to finishing, they just told my pops who's 77 and struggles to get downstairs they were finished, and we took them at their word. I guess if they checked with me, I would have asked them to suck up the water, hm starting to make sense now? Don't cut corners: if someone says one thing to me directly, makes me trust them only to avoid following through, makes me want a chunk of my money back. Then, when I called and spoke to Malinda to get answers as to why they left the area flooded and in worse condition, they had the audacity to say it was like that before they got there and that I needed to call I sanitation specialist because they don't deal with that. It ain't your fault Malinda, but damn how do you make a mess and not take responsibility for it? I appreciate your companies response time in getting out here, but my before and after pictures speak for themselves: you didn't finish the job properly, and the two guys who came out knew they weren't done but took advantage of me in that I was not the one paying. They lied to my father, said they were done and left. Now I'm stuck with puddles in my carpet outside the bathroom. Shake my damn head. Thousand bucks for 30 minutes of work, and they couldn't do what they said and get the water off the floor. There's more water and sewage in places it's never been, appreciate the warning. First attempt was Thursday, he was able to snake through the pipe in the toilet claims he snaked about 6 ft but the backup came back 2 days later. We called Saturday and he came back Sunday evening to snake again but this time was only able to snake the cable for about 1 to 2 feet and informed us there was nothing more he can do after already paying him $851. He claimed we had a broken pipe!!! Ruined our bathroom marble floor when he used his snake machine and left the crude from the snake all over our toilet and bathroom walls!!! When we brought the damages to his attention he was frustrated but agreed to provide some financial relief which we never received. They came, they saw, they did a great job…read more I needed someone as I had taken over as caretaker for my Mom's house near Andrews AFB as caretaker and the old HVAC company had gone out of business. I knew nothing about the installed system and I needed someone to look it over. Heck, I didn't even know where the air filter was located. I called the night before after 7pm and the two gentlemen were available the next morning at 11. They went over the system, took out a filter dated from 2016(!) and replaced it with a brand new one. Did a thorough lookthru and declared everything otherwise okay. Since they were there, I asked to install a new thermostat to replace the one that was about 30+ years old. They put in a thermostat I chose off of Home Depot. They went to get it, came back and installed it quickly and efficiently. And for very fair prices.
