This restaurant never misses! I always enjoy my experience at Deluxe. The way I enjoyed my lobster…read moreand red velvet waffle was truly indescribable--my lobster was cooked to perfection, and the waffle was absolutely delightful. I hadn't been in over a year, which I'm sure made the experience even better. The ambiance was great overall. It was a little chilly since we were seated near the door, but the manager, Sebastian, made sure we were quickly reseated and comfortable, which we appreciated. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and the 90s R&B and Afrobeats playlist definitely added to the vibe. An all-around great experience!

It's been a while since my (pretty horrific) experience a few years ago. My teen wanted to try it,…read moreso we went during Spring Break, and everything was five-star, especially our waitress. She made the whole experience genuinely unforgettable. Fast forward to May 2026: I took my teen and his identical twin friends back for the twins' birthday and we decided to go for brunch. I'll never do that again. Our reservations noted the twins' birthday, but the waiter didn't acknowledge it, and after I mentioned it, he still kept forgetting. He made so many mistakes that I stopped trying to track them. He did, however, push hard, more like beg, for us to order the buffet. We told him we'd already chosen entrées because the presentation of the food mattered most to us, and that's not really something you get with a buffet. He promised we'd still get that presentation with all of our drinks. The drinks arrived about 20 minutes later, with none of the smoke, hoopla, or anything special...he told us he forgot. We also asked to view the buffet before ordering. We explained that most stations were empty, so we weren't interested. He assured us everything would be replenished. It was replenished... eventually. After waiting about 30 extra minutes and asking multiple times. The refills came out at a snail's pace, and the empty bins stayed empty far too long. We were also seated upstairs near the windows. A waitress spilled some of a drink on the small stair area near our seats and continued walking without picking it up. By the time we left an hour later, no one had cleaned it up, and multiple staff members walked right past it. A five-star experience followed by another one-star experience has to be enough to finally put the place on pause. Spending several hundred dollars each visit is just not worth it when the experience is this hit-or-miss. And they didn't even bring out two cupcakes for the identical twins birthday. The twins had to split one. Seriously? Come on!!!

The food is excellent; everything is well-balanced and thoughtfully prepared. The service is so friendly and attentive, the ambience feels quaint and inviting and very accommodating. Highly recommend giving this spot a try.

Sora positions itself as a high-end tasting experience in Charlotte, but unfortunately my visit…read moredidn't live up to the expectations that come with a $275 per person tasting menu. The ambiance is what I would describe as a "modern cigar box." The lighting resembles a modern bedside lamp and the room itself feels small and subdued. When we visited there were only five guests being served in the entire restaurant. If you're looking for a place to see and be seen, this probably isn't it. The meal began with the amuse-bouche courses listed on the menu, but an unexpected bread service appeared later, after the opening dishes. The bread itself isn't listed anywhere on the tasting menu and the execution felt oddly disorganized. There were three guests at the table but only two plates, along with a mismatched amount of bread. We also had to request bread plates, which weren't initially provided. It didn't feel like a thoughtful accompaniment to the meal so much as something that appeared without much planning. Course-wise, nothing truly stood out. The Rainbow Trout was probably the best dish of the evening, but even that wasn't extraordinary. The rest of the menu leans heavily on luxury ingredients like toro, truffle, A5 wagyu, and foie gras, but the execution didn't elevate them in a memorable way. One course that particularly puzzled me was prime beef with mashed potatoes. Steak and mashed potatoes is something easily obtainable at countless restaurants. If you're going to put that on a $275 tasting menu, it needs to be exceptional. Unfortunately, this version simply wasn't. Service throughout the evening was inconsistent. Toward the end of the meal I sat with an empty water glass for roughly nine minutes, which shouldn't happen in a restaurant operating at this level. There were also some training issues with the host. During one presentation he placed a guest's dish facing the wrong direction and then attempted to explain the components left-to-right for two guests while reversing the explanation for the third guest rather than simply correcting the plate placement. His delivery felt awkward and rehearsed. This isn't meant as a criticism of the individual personally, but it suggests the staff could benefit from more training and refinement. At $275 per person, this was actually the most expensive base tasting menu of my last three fine-dining experiences, and unfortunately it was also the weakest. I'm giving Sora a generous 1.5 out of 5 stars. I'm open to the possibility that this was simply an off night, but considering how empty the dining room was, it does make me wonder if this is a more common occurrence than it should be. At this price point, diners deserve a much more polished and memorable experience.

We came here…read moreafter a stroll through Reynolda Village in Winston, followed by a bottle of wine on Rayson's relaxing outdoor patio. This dinner was the perfect ending to a perfect day on a warm, sunny November evening. The food was excellent. We started with the baked brie wrapped in a buttery flaky pastry, and the goat cheese medallions with marinated peppers and olive tapenade. Both were delicious. For mains, I had the porcini mushroom and cheese stuffed ravioli in a beef ragu, and this dish was outstanding. Everything blended beautifully and melted in your mouth with that rich ragu surrounding it. I'd definitely order it again. My wife had the chicken gnocchi dish. The only slight miss was the gnocchi. It wasn't homemade and leaned more on the firm side rather than that soft, melt in your mouth texture. Outside of that, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the manchego spinach cream sauce was fantastic. What truly sets this place apart is the patio overlooking the vineyard. I highly recommend reserving a seat outside for the full experience. Looking forward to our next trip here!

Even without reservations we were seated on the (enclosed for winter) patio immediately. The patio affords lovely views of the vineyards. Both times we have visited it has been a little noisy due to a large group but hey they are having fun. I ordered the Chicken Gnocchi, which comes with capicola, manchego, spinach and creamy brown butter sage sauce. That sauce -- chef's kiss! It paired nicely with the Élevage Blanc wine. We got a slice of chocolate torte to go and it was delicious as well. Highly recommend.

From the moment we walked in the decor and overall vibe felt like stepping back in time in a good way. You can tell a lot of thought went into the place without it feeling overdone. Service was top tier. Alejandra took care of us and knew the menu inside and out without sounding scripted or fake attentive like some places do. I got the salmon and yeah... ridiculous. The gravy alone could've been its own menu item. I was two seconds away from licking the plate. Only complaint is I wish the portions were a little bigger because the food was that good.

The interior and overall vibe are really nice, and the food was good -- but nothing especially memorable. What completely ruined the evening, though, was the service and how an accident was handled. A server from another table accidentally dropped an entire chocolate dessert shot glass behind me, and I got covered in chocolate -- my neck, hair, sweater, jeans, and even half of our table. Accidents happen, and I totally understand that. What shocked me was that neither the server who dropped it nor my own server reacted or even apologized. My server saw everything happen but didn't hurry to help or check on me. I sat there for more than 15 minutes with chocolate in my hair and all over my clothes. Eventually, I had to call the manager myself and ask for napkins or something to clean up. To the manager's credit, she responded quickly and was helpful. Ironically, my server only came over after the manager had already handled everything. In the end, I left the restaurant with a dirty sweater, stained jeans, and chocolate still in my hair. Instead of properly following up, they simply handed me a business card and told me to email or call about the incident. Honestly, after what happened, why should I have to chase the restaurant for a resolution? A much better approach would have been for someone to ask for my contact information and proactively reach out. Overall, it was a very strange and disappointing experience, especially for a place that presents itself as upscale. Sadly, I wouldn't come back again.
