The team here is great. I had the pleasure of hosting a party here in December, they allowed me to book the entire place for the night with full service and entertainment. The owners treat you like family and make sure you have the best experience. Their pricing is also so fair, it's hard to believe how good it is. They were very flexible to what I wanted the party to look alike and accommodated as needed. I wish I had better pictures of the initial time of the party, but here's what I could find. Went to this place yesterday with my wife and 2 kids and when we entered the place they were having a private event. This gentleman came and approached us and I told him we would like to try their food because we have been looking for a mediterranean restaurant around Glendale. The placed was already full inside the restaurant but this person offered us if we could sit outside. At first I thought he was just going to drive us away and say No just like other places but this person served us good customer service. He set a table for us and next thing you know , a young lady came to take our order. She served us chips with hummus on the side and it was so good. We ordered the family package that's good for 5-6 people and it was a mixture of meat. Despite them being busy because of the private event that was going on, they still had the time to come by and ask us if we needed anything. WOW!!!! So first off, I want to say I ordered from Asteria through Uber eats. I also want to warn that this review is long but please read through cause it's worth it. My daughter was having a pool party at my house for her 28th bday and she requested my Greek husbands popular lemon chicken that he famously grills. As her bday grew closer we quickly realized just how HOT that day was going to be and we decided it was going to be too hot to grill and she agreed to ordering kabobs. I had only a couple of days to find a good restaurant that prepares amazing kabobs, can deliver, has fairly good reviews, and is reasonably priced for large portions. Asteria checks ALL those boxes!!! I've never eaten at Asteria before so I took a chance and blindly ordered for a crowd of 20 people. I ordered the FAMILY SPECIAL that says it feeds 15-18 people. AGAIN, WOW! The food was EXCEPTIONAL. DELICIOUS. All The meats were so juicy and flavorful. The salad was out of this world good. The rice was unique and delicious. The portions were large and they did not skimp on anything. Everything was packed very professionally! Everyone at the party was raving about the food and some begged to take some home after the party but sadly for them there wasn't any leftovers. One of these days I will have to visit the restaurant and eat inside. They have excellent service!... Went there tonight...with my husband and son.. we all loved it. Reasonable prices.. Their food is so good!! We often go eat kabob, and have been to many places , but this one is very good! They give you pita chips and hummus as a complimentary appetizer & the portions are very good. We were looking for a bite and came across Asteria. Although there was a private event going on, they accommodated us in a small table for two. The service was great. Everyone was very attentive and asked us if we needed anything, and we were served promptly. I asked if the plate came with hummus, and the owner (?) or host, was kind enough to give us a small hummus bowl on the house. The chips and hummus were flavorful and delicious. Their fries were also fresh and well seasoned. You could tell both the chips and fries were fresh, as they were hot. This was something I loved, since some places don't always have the freshest food. We got a plate, which had a great portion of food and was fulfilling. We had enough to get full and some to bring home. The decor inside and seating are all very nice and modern. I have to start by saying the quality of meat is outstanding! That said, we ordered the kabob wrap sandwiches for pickup and were incredibly disappointed. Literally lavash onion and meat, done. No sauce, cabbage salad, tomato, hummus, yogurt, something... ANYTHING to juicy this thing up. Doesn't match their menu picture/ vision at allllllll. NOT what you would expect ordering a wrap sandwich from any restaurant. More of what you expect when your in the backyard and walk up to the manghal for a quick taste straight off the grill. Lol! I'm positive the kabob plates would be absolutely delicious and the chips served with hummus are incredibly crispy thin and satisfying. Will consider coming back for full dinner instead. Had lunch at Asteria today, would give 10 stars if I could. The atmosphere is great, if you are lucky there is live piano being played at times. The food was amazing. Meat was clearly fresh and portions very large, I tried the lule kabobs this time and will go back for more. The service was top notch. I only discovered and dined at this little place because of circumstances one day. My computer repair guy's shop is in a little motel-or-apartment-building-turned-minimall nearby, and after I dropped my laptop off for repair, I was hungry, and I noticed Asteria on the other side of the side street, with a door propped open to show that the eatery was open. So I decided to try them out. --- This restaurant is not a full-service restaurant in which a waiter or waitress comes to your table to take your order. Rather, you order at the counter, where the menu has pictures of all the entrées. Unfortunately, the selection of beverages was limited to the bottles and cans they have in a fridge, so I wasn't able to order unsweetened ice tea, which is my go-to drink because I'm diabetic (I sweeten black ice tea with artificial sweetener). One other little drawback was that they didn't have ice for the plastic cup. The room was a little bit cold because of the open door, but the overall atmosphere of the small room was nice. --- I almost always order the same entrée when I eat at an Armenian or other Middle Eastern restaurant: beef shish kabob (either filet mignon or flap meat). And that's the main item on which I rate such ethnic restaurants. The photo of the beef shish kabob showed some salad on the plate in addition to the meat, rice, and charbroiled tomato and Anaheim pepper (the long green one). I knew that I couldn't eat that salad in addition to the other food because I just can't eat a full meal at lunch like I can at dinner. So I asked them to hold the salad. --- I don't think they understood that the reason why I skipped the salad was because I didn't have room for it, because of the nice gesture they surprised me with. The nice guy behind the counter who took my order showed up at my table with a platter containing hummus and (I think) toasted pita chips. I had to politely decline because I honestly did not have room to eat it. (It just so happens that I don't like hummus, so being able to decline it for the first reason was convenient.) --- When my entrée came, I saw an ample but not super-large amount of meat; rice that was the medium-grain American type instead of the long-grain basmati that usually comes with Middle Eastern cuisine; and one regular-size tomato and pepper. Accompanying the hot food was a warmed round of pita bread, cut into 4 pieces. The food was all good, but the meat could've been jazzed up more with herbs and spices. --- I hope these nice folks respond to my feedback proactively, because I'd like to give them 5 stars some day. read more

If this place had a little bit more of an ambiance to it inside (currently seems to serve primarily as a takeout spot) it would be a full 5 stars. The food here is stellar -- great meat quality, the beef schwarma is so tender and delicious (tasted like it was pulled straight from the grill with a great char and texture to it) with great hummus and dips and veggies to complement everything. Girlfriend ordered the falafel wrap which was really yummy as well. The little appetizer they bring out with the crispy, garlicy-idkwhattheyare's is so friggin good -- like Mediterranean chips and salsa (which I'm sure is slanderous to say, but I'm a simpleton who knows very little about things). It's a little pricier than I'd like to pay, especially if I was getting it for takeout like they appear to be more set up for, but the portions are very generous and like already stated, it's super tender and fresh tasting that it does feel worth it in the end. Give this place a shot if you're in the North Glendale area, the food is legit. read more
