We came in for morning coffee and breakfast, and everything was ridiculously good. You can taste the authenticity and care in every single dish--it genuinely feels like a fresh, high-quality, homemade meal. We tried the syrniki (cottage cheese pancakes) served with fresh berries, and they were light, perfectly golden, and melted in your mouth. The shakshuka and rustic hash browns were equally incredible--full of deep flavor and cooked to absolute perfection. What truly blew us away, though, was the hospitality. On top of the food being spot-on, the service was exceptional. The owner personally came by our table several times throughout the meal to introduce himself, check in, and make sure we were enjoying everything. The food was excellent and we'd certainly come back for that. Bar service was another matter. I asked for an Arnold Palmer ... it turns out the restaurant didn't have them. Being simply a mix of lemonade and tea, why not? So I ordered a Virgin Mary. Our waiter returned and told us that the bartender said "No." Apparently the bar was swamped ... and the restaurant was only about a quarter full, if that. That was a new one on me. Every dish was beautifully presented, delighting the eyes before the first bite. We began with the chicken pâté over caramelized onions, and the combination of flavors was simply exquisite--they seemed to dance on the palate. For our entrées, the lamb was served on a bed of creamy hummus with perfectly grilled vegetables, while the duck breast was accompanied by a velvety sweet potato purée. Went here for brunch around 11:30 on Friday . The decor was very inviting and ambiance very cozy. The staff were very nice and made sure to accommodate all of our requests despite customizations. It shows that they are trying their best to cater to the best of their abilities to satisfy every customer. We ordered the house syrniki and it was very tasty. I thought it was a bit overpriced though. Also the avocado toast, and the poached eggs were very delicious. I also ordered the salmon pasta , which was on the lunch menu. It was delicious and creamy just the way I like it. It was a bit heavy though so I could only eat half of it . The overall experience was great. Prices are overall reasonable. I truly hope they keep their quality and the price because most places don't and that's how they fail. It had sour cream and a piece of dark bread. The meat was very tender. I enjoyed the root vegetables inside. We also shared a lunch panko chicken plate with mash potatoes and salad. I loved the salad! It had a lite dressing with fresh cherry tomatoes, edamame, and dried berries. They have espresso, fresh juices and smoothies, soups, salads, lunch plates. I just tried this place for the first time. I have a gluten allergy and they were able to accommodate. It's not written in the menu but they do accommodate. Amongst the three of us, we all loved everything we ordered. I got the strawberry salad, and I am obsessed with the citrus dressing. Also, I was very specific about wanting iced tea with no sugar and they really went out of their way to improvise and make something that came out so delicious. The service is really great, and the environment is very clean and including the bathrooms. It was our first time going last Friday night and we thought it would be American food from the Yelp category, but we were pleasantly surprised to realize that they serve Eastern European comfort food. My husband ordered the beef tongue stroganoff and I ordered the duck, which was delicious and beautifully plated. The mashed potato was delicious and we asked for some bread to clean off the plate of leftover potato. I came especially for the sirnikis but found out its only served for breakfast ( till 12 pm) I told the owner i wish they served it all day, he said they are updating the menu and starting next mondy it will be served the whole day. Instead, the experience was even more disappointing. The syrniki were significantly undercooked--barely cooked at all--and only slightly warm, almost at room temperature. The ricotta blini tasted like it came straight from the refrigerator without being warmed. The cottage cheese in the syrniki and the ricotta in the blini did not taste fresh and had an unpleasant aftertaste. We genuinely wanted to like this place and gave it a second chance, but after two disappointing visits, we won't be coming back. read more

Loved the strawberry salad with what tasted like pomegranate dressing, though I have to say it is very sweet, almost dessert-like. I enjoyed it, but if that's not your salad dressing flavor profile preference, this might not be your thing. The cheese balls, which were on the kids' menu, were amazing! It should be an appetizer for all ages! The fries were good. The duck breast was pretty good, not the best duck breast I've ever had, but satisfying. I wish they wouldn't slice it before serving, but maybe that's just me. Love the cauliflower soup as well with a unique mint oil. Arrived at Izba for lunch with a party of 6. The waitress was courteous, and attentive upon our arrival, however she has no experience as a server and it was evident. She asked to take our appetizer order before offering us drinks. Four members of our party ordered steak, the other two plates ordered were sea bass and chicken with asparagus. The sea bass came first, and the waitress suggested that person start eating, because the other plates would be a while. ( who does that? ) 10 minutes later the chicken plate arrived. 20 minutes later the 3 steaks arrived but 2 people were given the wrong steak, they didn't realize until they began to eat it , and by that time it was too late. Finally, an amazing 45 minutes later the last steak arrived. We had constant communication with the owner, complained, and he was speechless, and had nothing to say. He was too busy on his phone, while the server was running around stressed. The steaks were tough and chewy, the chicken dry and tasteless, and the sea bass turned out just okay. The worst part of our experience, was watching another party get their food before we all got ours, even though we were the first party to arrive for lunch. Our lunch was an hour and 45 minutes long. ( glad I was with the boss ) I will mention that they did not charge us for the last steak and lemonade, but it was the least they could do. Even then, not worth the money, time or experience.
