    Rack of Lamb

Our first visit was truly beyond our expectations. The restaurant exuded a lovely, elegant European charm that made for a warm and inviting dining experience. Every dish was beautifully presented, delighting the eyes before the first bite. We began with the chicken pâté over caramelized onions, and the combination of flavors was simply exquisite--they seemed to dance on the palate. For our entrées, the lamb was served on a bed of creamy hummus with perfectly grilled vegetables, while the duck breast was accompanied by a velvety sweet potato purée. Both dishes were expertly prepared and absolutely delicious. To end the evening, we enjoyed a delicately crafted tiramisu paired with green tea, the perfect finale to an exceptional meal. We thoroughly enjoyed this fine dining experience and look forward to returning. We would gladly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Went here for brunch around 11:30 on Friday . The decor was very inviting and ambiance very cozy. The staff were very nice and made sure to accommodate all of our requests despite customizations. It shows that they are trying their best to cater to the best of their abilities to satisfy every customer. We ordered the house syrniki and it was very tasty. I thought it was a bit overpriced though. Also the avocado toast, and the poached eggs were very delicious. I also ordered the salmon pasta , which was on the lunch menu. It was delicious and creamy just the way I like it. It was a bit heavy though so I could only eat half of it . The overall experience was great. Prices are overall reasonable. I truly hope they keep their quality and the price because most places don't and that's how they fail. There were a couple of small suggestions that I shared with their management and he was very glad to take them with a smile .

Came here for lunch! Very reasonable prices in a clean and comfortable atmosphere. The server was very helpful. We ordered the borscht. It was my first time and they kindly split for us. It had sour cream and a piece of dark bread. The meat was very tender. I enjoyed the root vegetables inside. We also shared a lunch panko chicken plate with mash potatoes and salad. I loved the salad! It had a lite dressing with fresh cherry tomatoes, edamame, and dried berries. They have espresso, fresh juices and smoothies, soups, salads, lunch plates. Theres house made desserts and some groceries like canned food and candy. Will definitely return!

Izba is one of my favorite restaurants in Glendale! The food is absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors and generous portions. Everything we ordered was fresh and beautifully prepared. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The cozy atmosphere makes it a perfect place for both family dinners and meeting friends. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend Izba to anyone looking for amazing Eastern European cuisine!

I had breakfast at Izba in Glendale and absolutely loved it! The food was delicious and tasted truly homemade--fresh, comforting, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, making it a perfect place to enjoy a relaxed meal. The staff was very welcoming, and the service was excellent. A special thank you to Yulia, who was incredibly polite, attentive, and professional. She made our experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for authentic homemade breakfast in Glendale with great hospitality, I highly recommend Izba. I'll definitely be coming back!

The food at Izba was really, really good -- everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and just honestly enjoyable. You can tell Chef Ken knows what he's doing Big shoutout to Aidana, our waitress -- she was super sweet, attentive, and made us feel very comfortable. And David at the front was also great, very welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked in. Overall, such a nice experience. Definitely coming back!

It was our first time going last Friday night and we thought it would be American food from the Yelp category, but we were pleasantly surprised to realize that they serve Eastern European comfort food. My husband ordered the beef tongue stroganoff and I ordered the duck, which was delicious and beautifully plated. The mashed potato was delicious and we asked for some bread to clean off the plate of leftover potato. This place is fairly new and we enjoyed the ambiance and the service was very warm and accommodating. They also have really fresh squeezed juices, so good!

Lovely place with great food and coffee. Owner was very friendly and professional. Would defined come back

Been here twice since it opened and it's only getting better. It's the home cooking you're craving without having to dirty your kitchen. The staff is kind/attentive and I've left both times planning what I'm going to order the next time.

My new favorite lunch spot in Glendale. Service is top notch and the food is just as good. I got the Burrata salad and Julienne 10/10. Great music and awesome vibe inside. The passion fruit juice was great too. I noticed they had different types of breads which I'll be trying in the future.

Place gives you a sense of home cooking but with the utmost elegance. Flavors are explosive and each dish more unique than the last. We were a party of two, ordered about 25% of the menu. Will come back to try the ones we didnt get to. Ukha soup was phenomenal - light but deep umami flavor. Duck was perfectly cooked and tender. Beef tartare melts in your mouth. Sea bass ceviche was bold and saucy. Staff was also super attentive and catered to our every request on the hurry. Went there with my wife on their opening night and we had a blast. Didnt want to leave without trying the lovely looking pastries but we were tapped out on the mains :). Will come back for more, for sure! Bravo! A much needed and unique restaurant in Glendale that takes a path less traveled (aka no kabob and fried potatoes!) great concept and execution.

    Avocado toast with side salad

I was meeting my friend for a brunch/lunch date today in Glendale and we decided to try something new. We were greeted the moment we walked in by the hostess. We sat down and the waitress brought the menus with still water immediately to our table. We started off with sparkling water, they even brought complimentary lemons on the side. We shared a plate of avocado toast with a side salad and their grandmas sirniki. Everything was fresh, delicious and I'm still dreaming about the side salad. I can't wait to go back and try their dinner options.

Owner/manager found me on social media somehow and got upset when we refused this offer because we don't want to come back there ever

Lovely, old fashioned diner with exposed brick walls, distressed furniture and a mix of old and new American decor. Very comfortable and homey. The best part was the food though. The chef doesn't know it's a diner apparently. I had a lovely chicken piccata that was superb! The only thing I didn't do was lick the plate clean, it was so good. Fare you'd expect from a nice Italian bistro. They have a devil's den full of desserts they make, too. I had a banana cream pie that was ridiculously good, along with an excellent coffee. They have a full coffee bar as well as the dessert bar. Service was terrific and the pricing was moderate for the quality. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with a large menu filled with American comfort food favorites. We have a ballgame to go to mid August. We are going to eat early dinner here before the game. Cannot wait to try their chicken pot pie!

If you go during the breakfast/brunch rush on the weekends, def take a few deep breaths as there can be a wait. Often, the patio fills up quite quickly. But sometimes it's just the luck of arriving at the perfect moment. As far as the entrees are concerned, I particularly like the Chile Stuffed Skillet when I'm craving a savory breakfast meal. It's made with a pasilla pepper stuffed with bacon, cheddar, and a poached egg. It's baked it in an iron skillet on top of potatoes, and it's topped off with ranchera sauce and sour cream. And let me tell ya, those house-made biscuits are amazing. Warm, crumbly, and melt in your mouth like a good biscuit should. The house-made jams are also a nice treat and feel like having a sample of grandma's (or mom's) kitchen. On of my visits, a friend ordered the Banana Bread French Toast, and it made me wish I had two stomachs so that I could eat that as well. But like a good friend, she noticed that I was eyeing her breakfast like a puppy dog begging from scraps. So she was gracious enough to split some and do a trade with one of my biscuits. I think the trade was quite fair. Next time, we agreed to go halfsies on the Corn Flake Crusted French Toast because they're really exceptional, and the Morning Quiche (which is only served on the weekends).

Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café…read more Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café reminded me that we live for the wonderful experiences that remain to be discovered. After a wonderful lunch date with my wife at Raffi's Place (please read my review and thank me later) in Glendale, I decided to look for the perfect dessert. After scouting several nearby locations, I decided I was in the mood for a great cinnamon roll. Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café looked like the place that would deliver the experience I was seeking. SDLBC is listed as being in Glendale, but it's located in the historic Old Town of Montrose. That's beside the point; I only mention it because there are additional places to explore just up the street. We arrived around 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and there wasn't much of a selection left, including the highly sought-after cinnamon roll. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us warmly, and I immediately asked if that was all the pastries they had. He said yes. I contemplated leaving because of the nonexistent cinnamon roll, but I didn't want to be rude, so I decided to give the bakery a try since we were already there. So, we basically took half of what remained behind the glass display case: a Peach Almond Croissant, a Raspberry Pistachio Croissant, an Almond Croissant, and then my curiosity focused on a few lonely-looking pastries that were unfamiliar to my discerning eyes. I asked the gentleman what they were, and he replied with something that sounded completely foreign to me: Kouign-Amann. Kouign-Amann (pronounced queen ah-MAHN) is a traditional pastry from the region of Brittany, France. It is often considered one of the richest pastries in the world because it is made with just a few simple ingredients in generous proportions: bread dough, butter, and sugar. Figuring we needed a few more sweets for the road, we took all the remaining Kouign-Amanns. Two were the traditional version, and the other two were filled with crème and blueberry jam. We also ordered a Café Americano and a Café Mocha. While we waited for our drinks, I simply couldn't wait any longer. Like a kid on Christmas morning, I eagerly opened my gift and dug right into the Kouign-Amann. Hesitantly, I tore off a tiny piece with my fingers, expecting nothing extraordinary, and instantly gave birth to a brand-new experience that exploded in my mouth. The crisp exterior gave way to the soft, flaky center, followed by waves of what tasted like delicate honey. I tore off another piece and shared it with my wife. One look at her eyes told me she wanted more. By the time our drinks were ready, we had devoured one of the Kouign-Amanns and confessed to the gentleman behind the counter that we had just experienced pure ecstasy in the form of a pastry. Kouign-Amann is, in fact, one of the richest pastries in the world, so don't let the unfamiliar name keep you from trying one. The Café Americano and the Café Mocha were also exceptionally well prepared. With everything that's happening in the world these days, a simple yet profound experience like this reminded me how wonderful life can still be. Like Arnold said... "I'll be back." Enjoy!
