They hurt so good. We ordered samosas, chicken dum briyani, chana masala, garlic naan, and mango lassi. I ate till I was full and even then, i didn't want to leave the table and keep eating. i also needed to pee but was willing to stay there to keep eating.

My friends and I tried Astoria for the first time tonight, and I can confidently say we will be back! We took the suggestion of getting chicken tikka masala, chicken biryani, and butter chicken, and all of them were so flavorful and just the right amount of spice! The service we received was excellent- great food and drink suggestions, attentive and friendly. I'm so pleased to have this restaurant near me!

My husband and I ate lunch here today and it was amazing. The restaurant was homey and cozy. The service was great and the staff were friendly. The food was delicious and we had plenty for leftovers, even with lunch portions. Would definitely recommend eating here, it was great. We'll be back, for sure. Also, many vegetarian and vegan options!

I ordered this on Christmas Day via DoorDash as it was one of the few restaurants open that day. The lamb biryani was quite flavorful and had a good kick to it. The chicken tikka on the other hand was decent but not as good. I felt like the gravy in the curry was a bit runny and not as rich/creamy as I would have liked. Also, extremely little meat in both the curry and the biryani. I also wished they had maybe put the containers in different bags or packaged differently because some of my curry had spilt in the bag when I received the delivery.

Astoria continues to be our go to for Indian in Omaha. The food is very consistent and their curries are quite flavorful. Our favorites are lamb korma and butter chicken. The masala dosa is also very good. I do wish there was a little more meat included in the curry dishes, because they are sooo good. Probably the most tender lamb pieces I've had outside of India. The appetizers were good, but not as good as the main event. The mix grill was a fun change up...the tandoori chicken was definitely the fav here. The prices are pretty fair compared to other competitors in the area. They also have a fantastic Thursday takeout deal where you can mix and match certain entrees at a discount. We usually takeout because the ambiance dining in is a little lacking. Would love to hear some Bollywood music playing to set the mood. Unfortunately you only hear the people around you talking. Overall, this is a great option if you need your Indian fix.

Astoria has become my favorite Indian restaurant in Omaha! I've tried many Indian restaurants in search of the perfect chicken tikka masala and have found it at Astoria. The creaminess is perfectly mixed with tomatoey sauce and is full of flavor and spices. The chicken is soft and tender as well. The butter naan dipped with the chicken tikka masala is so delicious! The best I've had. I usually get the vegetarian samosas for appetizer and the potato in is full of spices and flavor as well, goes perfectly with the mint chutney dipping sauce. The price is very reasonable and the service is great. Food comes out fast and piping hot..just how I like it! Highly recommend giving this place a try!

This cozy authentic restaurant has some great food and it's fresh! The wait was 40mins but worth it. We ordered the butter chicken (medium spice level) tried the butter naan, cheese naan and garlic naan! Yum! The vegetable samosa was great but I didn't care for the chicken. Lastly topped everything off with a refreshing mango lassi.

I have been looking for an Indian spot to fill the void Mother India left in my heart and this is it!!! All of the staff was so kind and helpful answering our questions. We went on a Wednesday night and there was maybe only one other table occupied so we have some work to do to get the word out! The Malia Kofta was phenomenal. Tons of bold flavor. Great texture on the balls. Definitely was enough sauce to take home a tub of left overs. The samosas were the best we've ever had. We had to order a second order. They were the perfect crispy texture and delicious flavor on the inside. Garlic naan was a great level of bold garlic. Comes with 4 pieces. I went with mild and it was more a mild/medium to me so warning for the heat adverse to ask for extra mild! I will be back to eat through the entire menu!

There was a little bit of a wait once we got there, but the place was pretty busy and it was a holiday - all of the staff was clearly working very hard. As we were leaving with our food, they asked us to wait to make sure we got some complimentary desserts due to it being Diwali! They gave us a box of some Jalebi. Thank you, Star! The food was so good! Neither of us had had the gobi 65 biryani before and it was delicious. I loved the huge chunks of cooked cauliflower 65! The malai kofta was tasty as well - the kofta were nice and soft and the gravy was creamy and rich. The Jalebi were thick and juicy! The whole meal was scrumptious and there was even enough for some leftover lunch!

It was a Thursday evening and not very busy. Only two other tables when we were there which really surprised me after tasting the food. They started out with the complimentary papadam with two different sauces a mint chutney and a brown sauce not sure what it is but both great. We started off with the naan bread basket and an another garlic cheese naan definitely didn't need more than the bread basket was a very large portion to split. All were very tasty the garlic was my favorite. I had the Karnali combo biryani which was awesome had the right heat I asked for spice wise and good amount of all the different meats. My wife got the mango masala which she really enjoyed and isn't always the biggest Indian food fan but she ate hers and ate the leftovers the next day as well. My aunt had chicken korma which she raved about as well. My mother tried the malai kofta she had only tried Indian food once many years ago and this experience confirmed she's not a fan and has a bad taste palette haha. I really enjoyed this dish as well and was happy to have the leftovers the next couple days. We ordered her some chicken tenders from the kids menu but those also had some seasonings more cumin I'd say and others that she didn't enjoy but our 14 month old really enjoyed. So if you have a very picky eater maybe go with one of the other kids options. The white creamy sauce that came with my biryani was also bursting with flavor and had a great cooling sensation. The man who served our table was very friendly and even played peek a boo with our baby from the register area. Place had a nice vibe and was very clean bathrooms included. Definitely will be back and you should go check out this spot!

I was seriously craving Indian food while visiting Omaha during Memorial Day weekend, and luckily,…read moreKarnali was the only Indian restaurant open nearby that day. We reached the restaurant around 3:30 - 4 PM for a late lunch, and there were a few people dining inside. The restaurant was very clean, the tables were well arranged, and the Indian music playing in the background gave the place a nice cozy vibe. We started with the tandoori chicken and then ordered garlic naan, butter chicken, and two chais for the main meal. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, but it was different from the typical restaurant-style tandoori chicken. It tasted more homemade with regular spices, without the bright red color or smoky restaurant flavor. Still, it was really good. The best part of the meal was actually the sauce served with the chicken. It tasted like a spicy tomato-onion gravy, almost similar to butter chicken sauce, and honestly, I wish the butter chicken we took later had been cooked in that same sauce because it was delicious. The butter chicken was tasty overall - rich and creamy, though the garlic naan could have been better. The naan felt a little too dry and could have used more butter. The chai at the end was ok because it had a bit too much spice and tasted more milky than tea. The service was decent as well. The server was friendly, but while taking our order he wasn't writing anything down and had to ask us to repeat a few things, so that was a little awkward. The food arrived in about 10 minutes, which was pretty quick. One thing to note is that we had to place the chai order along with the food because the server mentioned it takes around 15 minutes or more to prepare. I did feel that the pricing was slightly higher compared to the quality and portion sizes. The tandoori chicken was around $17 ,the butter chicken was about $19 and the Naans $4 each and chais were around $4 each, so the total came close to $55 + w tax or more. Personally, I don't think the food completely matched the pricing and was mediocre. Overall, I had a decent experience and really appreciate that they were open on Memorial Day because they definitely satisfied my Indian food craving. I would definitely recommend trying the tandoori chicken appetizer, especially with the sauce they serve alongside it. I would give the restaurant a solid 3 out of 5 stars.

The menu is extensive, especially for a vegetarian who is accustomed to slim pickings. The vibe is friendly and low key, you don't need to get dressed up here, come as you are. The service was super sweet and attentive throughout our visit. She provided us with included samples of this delicious mango pudding dessert that BLEW my mind - truly. So sweet, creamy, and bright! For my meal, I gave the malai kafta a try, which is one of my go - to choices at Indian restaurants, so I have a strong basis to judge.. and Percy's knocked it out of the park! The veggie balls were soft and smooth when cut open, but firm enough to not fall apart in the sauce. The flavors present were so incredibly warm and rich that I could have simply eaten it like soup! I personally ordered a 4 in spice on their 10 scale, and could have handled a 5 in terms of spice, but staying at a 4 keeps your nose from running! The naan options are super fun, and you can select from plain, cheesy, garlic, and more! I personally went with the cheese naan and it was so full that it was almost like a quesadilla ! That is super rare in my experiences, and I was pleasantly surprised by the heftiness of this naan. Each order is 4 pieces for only a few bucks. My companion ordered an appetizer as a meal, and said they also could have gone spicier - so the lesson here may be to trust your spice tolerance and go just one more notch above what you think you can handle! The creaminess and balance of spices allows everything to melt together rather than be overpowered by one element. I'll definitely be returning to Percys and hope you give it a try! I'll need to order a full order of the mango dessert next time :)
