Their wash, pick-up, and drop-off service is AMAZING. my clothes always come back perfectly clean, fresh, neatly folded, and handled with care. The place itself is spotless, modern, and well maintained. Every other laundromat nearby is honestly disgusting and completely outdated compared to this one. Once you come here, you'll never go anywhere else. The convenience of the pickup and drop-off alone is a game changer, but combined with the quality and cleanliness, it's unbeatable. I did a DIY laundry run at 8AM on a Saturday. Perfect laundry experience. Most of the machines were in use even at that hour. The attendant was very nice and helpful. It cost just under $5 total for a regular mixed load to wash and dry in a smaller machine ($2.19 to wash, .30 per 8minutes to dry.). Medium machines were $3.19 to wash, I'd guess they would handle a week's worth of clothes for one person. Deli and coffee shop within a block. A few areas to fold. read more

Definitely 5 Stars! Mainly for the outstanding service that is provided in such a comfortable environment. I have lived in Astoria for over a year, and I can't imagine going anywhere else to clean my clothes. My BF often encourages me to utilize the drop-off service, which I never do. He doesn't comprehend that my time at this this place is a few hours of uninterrupted peace. There are comfortable seats, music, and at times the television is set to quiet the kids of harried moms. There is not a nicer group of women around, and we can't believe how beautifully and carefully they process our laundry (and how quickly ! 24-hour turn-around is their default). There is never a mix-up of clothing in two years we've been going to them, we always get back what we dropped off. There is something you must understand - for someone as lazy as I am, I think I find myself pretty busy. That's why it's so important to me that I don't have to do my own laundry (you can decide if that's because "lazy" or because "busy"). This laundromat makes it super easy to drop off, pick up, and when absolutely necessary (the GF makes me) do a load of wash. The space is big and bright and clean, air conditioned, and wi-fi equipped. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They never judge me for dropping off laundry rather than doing it myself, and they even say hi when we cross paths in the neighborhood. The prices are more than reasonable, their hours are beyond convenient (I usually drop off on my way to work in the morning and pick up on the way home that evening), and they just do a great job all around. The only drawback is that there isn't really any seating, so if you're planning on hanging around while your darks are in the spin cycle, be prepared to find one of the few folding chairs they have, or work out your standing muscles. Do a quick search and you'll see that just on this stretch of 24th Ave between the Park and 31st St there are roughly 5 laundry spots - when I meet new people in the neighborhood looking for laundry, this is the place I recommend. This is one of the cleanest laundrymats that I have visited in Queens. The prices are reasonable. While some of the previous reviews stated $1.50, I observed that the small load is $2.00, medium $3.00 and large $4.00. Horrible customer service I asked them if I could use a washing machine on what they dean as there side that was ending 4nins sooner then the one on the other side in order to have it end at closer to the time of my other machines that I was using. The manager told me know because they have allot of work and that those machine are for them only to use for wash and fold. I do not understand how someone's order that isn't even here is more important then the customer that is right in front of them. Completely deserves 5 stars. The ladies here are amazingly sweet and accommodating, like the other reviews say. They greeted me with a smile from Day 1, and I've never looked back. Drop off service is awesome. My clothes always come back folded very neatly, organized, and smelling great. Everything fits perfectly back into my drawers! When I first moved to Astoria I was shocked at the cost of dropping off your laundry. In Brooklyn it was almost half the price as some of the places I was trying out. I finally decided on Avenue 24 Laundry, although it is not as close as the other 90 laundromats in a 2 block radius from my house, and I lived happily ever after. They are cheap, quick, friendly, and hold great hours (they close at 11pm!). read more

I won't even check out another place to see if their prices are better (which they probably are) because the women here are so sweet. Very accomodating if there are clothes left in the machines or if you need a machine that they are using to do their drop-off service. Against my morals, I have dropped off a couple times and they do an excellent (albeit, expensive) job. There's nothing like not having to fold your own laundry. The only thing I wasn't a fan of is when I dropped off my comforter -- it cost $10 and it came out as a big ball of fluff in the middle of the very wrinkled fabric. I was not happy about that, so will be washing it myself from now on. This place is close to my house. It's clean, spacious, has a restroom and lots of seating. I've been debating using their drop off service though, because they're careless with the clothes. They dry everything on HOT and often drop things on the floor as they come out of the dryer. I even saw an article of clothing spilling over into the garbage can when it was pushed to the back of the room in a rolling cart! Gross. read more

This is one of the cleanest laundromats in NYC. Prices are also very reasonable. ($1.50 for a large load and 25cents for 8 min in the dryer) The place offers free WiFi and lots of chairs to sit around and wait while you are doing your laundry. If you run out or forget to bring your detergent, they also sell little packs of detergent for about $1. Lots of washers of different sizes, and plenty of dryers. I've never had a problem finding an available washer/dryer here. Also open from 6am-12am 7 days a week, so you can pretty much do laundry whenever you want! read more

I've been going here for two years and it's the best ever. They are so nice and always so quick with drop off service. I have left headphones, money, and other items in pockets and they have always managed to catch my forgetfulness. The price was pretty reasonable as well. Very disappointed with the customer service at this laundromat...There were two washes that had finished, so I asked one of the ladies there to empty one of them for me. She refused and told me that she would be using both of them for herself. I told her that I wanted to use one of those because I only needed to wash a small load of clothes and asked if she could use one of the larger machines for the store's business. She was quite rude and told me to use one of the larger ones myself. I did and paid an extra dollar to do so... However, I will not be coming back. I have come here weekly for nearly a year. The ladies are super friendly and the place is cleaner than some around. I've noticed that the water to wash is ALWAYS HOT even when it's pressed for cold. I finally said something and they told me it's from the previous wash. Hogwash! I am done with my clothing shrinking and fading fast. I love this place! As a working mom of a family of four, dropping off laundry is my luxury. These ladies never even bat an eye as I waddle in with 50lbs of laundry, and simple ask "Tonight?" as pleasant as can be. Their pricing for drop off is lower than other places I've tried, and their hours make it incredibly convenient. Plus they sort everything. I had the worst experience at this laundromat today. It was a big mistake visiting in the middle of the day on a Friday. The place is full of people with nothing better to do, to the point where they spent their time picking on others. Today a short "guy" was loading a machine and I made the mistake to ask if he was going to use the one next to it. Not only he was rude, he made sure to make me regret it for using another machine next to the two he occupied. When I asked if I can have some space to load my clothes in the machine I heard everything from how ugly I look to that I need to get laid. I left while my clothes were being washed because I felt sorry for him, and I didn't want to continue talking to someone who obviously has so much hatred for beautiful young women. When I returned I asked for the manager's phone number but they only told me what days I can find him there. One of the employees not only did no ask what happened but she also attacked me calling me "special", telling me that little dude was "her friend", and that she will check the camera to see who started the fight. Finally, an obviously sick older woman who is ALWAYS there started with insults as well. I do not think the coward little guy would even talk to me if I was a dude or had a guy standing next to me. I shouldn't be facing misogyny and other people's boredom while doing my laundry. I hope the owner starts paying attention before the people who hang out there destroy his business. I guess it is safer to drop off your clothes rather than washing them yourself. read more
