When I first got Wave, it was great. Better than what I had at my previous place "Charter". I am posting this negative review because over the last half a year or so I have had to call the worst customer service people ever. When I say worse, its because they automatically blame the customer or equipment and have attitudes. Due to my account being disconnected for no reason other than a mistake was made excuse. The most current occasion being today. Normally I am not one to complain but the technician "Joe" had to audacity to say he HAD to come into my home to make sure it's working, stuck his boot in the door so I could not close it. I told him thats not going to happen and then he mentioned he would have to re-disconnect, because he cant see if its working. I leave yall with this bit of information. If you have other providers, check them out first. Unfortunatly for me they are the only "MONOPOLY" provider in this area so anyone needing internet HAS to use them. read more

Customer service is VERY rude. I asked why my bill increased $2 per month. They tried telling me that someone ordered a pay-per-view movie...I ONLY have internet service through Wave. Evidently the moden rent increased, without any notification of course. read more

Over the past, we have had several requests to fix our internet. My husband's work depends on it. In the past few weeks, we have had two repairmen out here and our internet is worse than before! My husband called and talked with a lady who said the heat is causing "problems" and that "there is nothing we can do about the weather!" Seriously?! So we can't have reliable internet service in the summer months? And you say customer service is your top priority? If you didn't have a monopoly where we are, we would've switched long ago! To add insult to injury, my husband just called your repair line and was promptly disconnected after waiting for several minutes! The recording says if you need help, check ONLINE!! If it wasn't so frustrating, it would be funny!! Needless to say we are extremely disappointed in your lack of service and will switch to anything else when it becomes available in our area. read more

Wave broadband is absolutely the worst isp I have ever had. I've heard of people having bandwidth caps before but I've never experienced one myself until I've experienced Wave's. I personally believe it is an unethical practice that exploits customers who are already forced to pay for overpriced services from a monopoly driven cable market. If at all possible boycott wave broadband. I would if I could but as internet becomes more and more like a required utility, that I cant afford, I find myself forced to pay anyways. So last month I get a bill charging me $25. for internet +. So I email wave and they informed me it was my cap. Now this is extremely aggravating being my first ever charge for something like this and it was without warning, not even an email to warn that i was approaching my cap so that I could avoid the charge. Installation was not proper ether I experience outages when it rains. when online gaming, the speed has difficulty staying consistent which is to blame for a multitude of unnecessary gaming deaths. When I bring this up they want me to call technical support instead of relaying the information themselves and I barely have time for the email, while I work, to begin with. Will wave sell to Charter, please... I've never experienced this with; Charter, Comcast or USCable and hate the way they conduct business but compared to Wave broadband they are, well, better. read more

Wave has poor customer service and they are expensive. I am so glad I move to another area and was able to drop them for Internet. Too many hidden fee and no explanation of how they come up with overages on Internet. They are the only company that I have had usage overages on Internet. I didn't even know they did that until I received a bill that was almost double my normal bill. Goodbye Wave......I hope I never have to return. I suggest if you have other Internet options that you seriously consider them before going with Wave. read more

Customer service is horrible in Silverton. They have a tech who came to my place to install my internet and cable service. He arrived unprepared to show me what Wave has to offer for service. He did mention a "special" for new customers. Well when I received my first bill the "special" was not valid. The old bait and switch scam. So I called and was assured a manager would call me within 48 hours. That was several days ago. So I called again and explained everything again and once again I was assured a "lead" would call me the very next day. Ummm, that too has been several days ago. Now I will be disconnecting my service on Monday to this company and warn everybody about the bait and switch scam. Buyer be aware......... read more

live in woodburn Oregon and ive had wave for about a year and first couple of months internet worked as it should, but after that went down hill and has never been fixed since after 5 techs and several phone calls.i pay for 55mgps and don't even come close to getting that , with those speeds you should be able to stream movies with several tv,s at once and run a gamming computer,but I CANT even stream 1 tv with out problems. Update. After six months the contract company that does the underground cable installation came by to see what the problem is. It turns out they have never received a work order from Wave to do the installation even though Wave has been on site three times and each time they said a work order would be put in. Still no work order and no resolution. Wave has serious mismanagement and communication issues. Cable companies in general don't have the best reputation, but if there are other options do yourself a favor and consider those before Wave. read more

This is worst cable company I have ever had, but in my town (Sheridan, OR) they are the only cable/internet provider so I have to use them if I want cable TV. Tech refused to install cable lines and wall plates thru my walls to get cable TV in my new home even after I requested it (I was willing to pay extra if needed to), instead he opted to cut holes in my brand new carpet (less than one month old) citing it was the easiest way to get the cable lines in. On top of that the tech also refused to put the holes where I wanted them at and sometimes put them in across the room from where I wanted my TV at. This has been the worst installation experience in my whole life. I thought it was standard practice to run cable lines thru the walls and cap it off with a wall plate. I called the cable company to find out if cutting holes thru customer's carpet was part of their standard installation and the rep said "It is up to the tech and what they are comfortable doing". They didn't think it was a problem and because they was no "problem", they didn't fix it. Seeing how I already had the holes in the carpet put in by them, I tried their service. Their cable and internet suck. The internet signal goes out at least once a week for minutes to hours at a time. The cable: regular channels work fine but I notice in the HDTV channels, there always seems to be one or two down. This is not a cable company I would recommend to friends or family. read more

We bought a new home in a Canby. Love the house hate the ISP. On Feb 21st called to set up access. Spot scheduled for the following week the 28th. I take time off work to be there for the install. The technician Daniel came & didn't hook us up because he said we had a cable line issue & it needed another team to look at it in 3 days. 5 Days more we wait & I call customer service who advised that the team had not finished yet but would be done in 2 days. They take all my info again to Create a new work order for this install before the weekend. So I wait again & follow up with customer service who says the team finished & the tech simply needs to pull the cable through whatever that means. A time slot is scheduled & I take time off from work again to be home during the install. Tick tock. Tick tock. The 4 hour window goes by & no technician. Frustrated, I call again & customer service says they have the wrong address on file & I need to provide again my details & update my address to create a new work order. I tell her that's the 3rd time that I have given a new work Order. It has been over 3 weeks & we still don't have cable or Internet. I ask to speak to a manager as I would like someone to follow through on their commitments. Lashonda the customer service rep says they cannot get anyone out to service us until next week & if I want it sooner I should go with another provider. Unbelievable. This service is horrible. The Gateway system is expensive , cumbersome, not user friendly at all. At least with Comcast when you spend 200 bucks a month you get awesome internet, wifi, xfinty platform that rocks and all your channels plus premium channels and on demand of all channels. The Gateway system (multiroom DVR system) is the worst system I have ever had to try to figure out. I have had 3 separate techs out because 1st tech had no idea what he was doing and did not set it up right, 2nd time to fix the 1st guys issues, 3rd time because my box did not work. On top of it I am still experiencing the same issues with the DVR not recording shows even though I have set everything up to record properly. Then god forbid I want to go to On demand to say catch up on my show I missed from CBS, no luck because they don't have CBS on demand WTH??? Really?? I have now been told that I need to go and purchase a Wireless extender for 1100 sft home because the Gateway system has very poor wifi single. I am extremely dissatisfied with the product all the way around. As soon as I can figure out how to remove your service from my area I plan on it. read more

Absolutely horrible service! We have had this service just under a month and we have had nothing but problems! For starters the guy that first installed our cable just shoved wires in the wall scrunched up and thought this was our problem as the next tech came out and fixed everything he possibly could other than our box, we still have the problem so the supervising tech came out (who was a complete jerk and I couldn't understand a word he was saying so he had to repeat himself several times and acted like coming to fix his companies problem was a complete inconvenience for his day). Gave us a new box and we are still having the freakin problem! Needless to say this company is super frustrating! Not to mention when my husband called in to the call center everything was blamed on my husband because a tech was suppose to come out on Thursday and we had an all day appointment however my husband had to run some errands and didn't go too far from the house (we were told he would have a call before the tech came) never received a call but the tech apparently came when he was gone. First of all the tech should be calling before coming to the house. (I also experienced this today as the supervisor did not call before he knocked on my door, even though he was supposed to.) After all of this the problem still is NOT fixed after 4 techs have come out with in the last two weeks! The problem we are having is that the tv is pixilated, freezes, and the screen goes black when changing the volume, can't even get through a show without this being so annoying! We will be looking for a satellite option now and canceling our services since here in canby, OR we only have 2 options for cable and the other company isn't worth the money they want, so now we have no other option than to go to satellite. (Which we hate but satellite is better service than what we are currently getting with wave.) Horrible all the way around from service to customer service! Steer clear of this company! read more

We Signed up for wave about two weeks ago. In that time we have had 2 DVR boxes, sketchy internet and missing Digital channels we signed up for. The first DVR box was brand new, but apparently had something wrong with it. The replacement cable box was a used box covered with spooge from someone else's grubby fingers and looked like it had been through World War Three...ewwwwww. Expanded channels worked on the day the tech was here, then stopped the next day, this happened with each box. We talked to 3 different minions at customer service and one cool tech guy.The tech guy knew how to fix it, but could not because he was tech support not customer service. Getting passed around 3 times at the customer service cube farm was soooooo ridiculous.They obviously never had any customer service training. What is up with being passed around like a football? We pulled the plug on this deal because they were not providing what they said the would at the time we spoke to them. The bill was going to be 30.00 less than our previous carrier, but after reading the reviews here that would have only lasted three months. I guess that is what you get when you try to save some money. If your thinking of switching to Wave, think again. They win 5 gold stars for the WORST customer service department EVER! I have been with wave for the past 6 years or so and have often found their services marginal and expensive. Since I have been handling the budget in our family, I have noticed that I am continually charged a late fee when my bill is paid within the 10 day grace period. I'm curious about this only because the financial institutions that handle my mortgage and car note do not charge me a late fee so long as t he bill is paid within the 10 day grace period. I would venture to think that the utility companies in my area have not charged me a late fee either. Maria informed me that Oregon law states all companies can charge a late fee regardless of whether or not the bill is paid within the 10 day grace period. I know this to be true of credit card companies but I never thought that a utility could be as greedy. I thought that a company doing business in California has to operate by California regulation, not the state from which they are supplying a service. That is double-dipping and is unfair for consumers as my self who live from hand to mouth and are paid bi-weekly. Speaking for myself, I have to rely on my grace period to get my bills paid and being penalized for something beyond my control does not seem like fair business practice. It feels like a fleecing of my wallet. It's only a matter of time for all the new consumers that Wave signs on to find or experience something to be unhappy about...its the nature of business and marketing so when a company has to charge an extravagant late charge to their consumers in order to meet their financial obligations or to fatten their wallets at the consumers expense, that tells me that they are having trouble keeping their customers happy in the first place. So I am through venting...and will start the process of investigating a new service. read more

I am livid!!!! I didn't sign-up for the introductory service. I've had Wave Broadband for 1 1/2 months. My bill including, taxes and fees, was supposed to be $160 per month. High, but with high speed internet and the extended channel I figured OK. I received my bill. $350!!!!! WHAT THE?!?!? I called, Customer Service is lacking....seriously lacking. They explained there is a past due balance. No there isn't I paid in-full a the time they connected service. I have two boxes, there were charging me for three. And, well you have...blah, blah, blah. No, that's not what I was promised. I was told and confirmed my bill would only be $160. with high speed internet and the extended package. Half an hour later there was NO resolution. they could care less. It is what it is, just deal with it. Pay the bill and accept what we told you. Needless to say. I'm cancelling my account with them. Don't use Wave Broudband. You WILL be duped! Run far way from them. read more

avoid wave as an internet provider they have a 300 gig data cap which you wont know if you have gone over unless you know about the service that shows your usage to which when i singed up no one told eventually i had a 500 dollar bill as a cable provider there service is good how ever i hate there cable box very limited in features and the way the software is set up when a recording starts and stops a banner appears blocking a portion of the screen monday i attempted to deal with a past due bill 3 phone calls when i spoke to the costumer service rep about trying to make arrangements to pay on the bill if they would reduce the bill she had to contact her supervisor still no word even after they were tweeted from another rep i find it rather odd since prior to writing my first review when i inquired about my first bill they immediately cut the bill in half the other issue is when i mention the lack of being informed about there services i was told it was all in the bill since dropping there service i have found that they have a tired data plan no mention of this from any employee nor was i told that the roku box increases you data usage another thing is they carry several different cable boxes nor does any one explain there cable service which they not only have digital but analog and to which you dont really need a box additionally there is no way to actually contact any one electronically no chat no easy way to email customer service read more
