Our community is without internet constantly. They have not upgraded services. You have to beg for a special rate and put it on your calendar before it cancels to beg for another special. Many people have cancelled and went to Starlink due to being hostage to only Astound in our local are. Staff at local office has been helpful but they obviously can't do anything about the awful coverage. read more

Called technical support more times than I can count and they always say the same thing: "Don't know what to tell you." Horrible customer service! Trying to get hooked up for new service. Situation goes like this: I have my 4hr window, get my call that tech, Cody, is on the way (supposed to be 30m lead time), he shows up 10m later, I'm in the bathroom and can't answer door quickly, and then he leaves. No phone call, nothing. No contact info for him and so I call Wave/Astound to see if I can call him back. I'm routed to Wave call center where all they can do is reschedule me for another appt for one week out. They don't know who the tech is or have any contact info for him. The techs have no idea what they are talking about. My service is absolute garbage and I pay for 1gb speed which is almost $100 a month! I rarely can use my internet and when the tech came out he was no help at all. Told me everything is fine even though our modem is restarted multiple times a day when we lose internet. read more

Came in with a problem concerning my WiFi. I pay for 250 mb download and was only getting 30ish. I had just spent close to $400 on a new mesh system. Before going I checked it with the new system as well as my old, perfectly functioning router. When I explained my issue they recommended I lease their brand mesh system. Even after explaining that I had just bought a new mesh system their only advice was lease their router and throw away my $400. They eventually became indignant that I wouldn't follow their advice. I do not believe I have ever been so frustrated with their customer service. It is all automated and you can not talk to a representative unless you know how to get in. I was on the phone with one representative and after 20 minutes, I was able to get one question answered. I tried the CHAT feature to get another question and its like a maze of questions but no answers. They ask how your day is going while they access your account. Then they discuss the weather. Its ridiculous. While I was on the chat, I kept asking the question and then I got a long message about adding an additional service, that was not requested. Then, for some reason, my internet was disconnected. I believe to was intentional and they would not resume any discussion until they reset my receiver. In my opinion, that is despicable behavior. I am looking for a new internet provider. read more

Most people today don't have any idea what good service is, so they write glowing reviews for Xfinity. You canno0t get to a service person, and they don't care as long as you keep up your payments, and don't bother them. I need a service visit to check my cable as it is not working for my TV. Something that should be quite easy, but it is i8mpossible to get hold of them, and if you do they have a million excuses why they won't be there. Also my wife mistakenly took a FREE phone from them, and it doesn't work, but they will not take it back, and even if they did they want to charge us for the phone, as now it is not free, but they are charging us for it, and if we did return it they want us to pay the retail price for it. Now it's an un-free "promotion" which they neglected to mention. The laugh was they said to take the phone to Best Buy to get it fixed, as they have no idea how to fix it. Also they require you to make an "appointment" to have them talk to you about the phone. My wife mad an appo0ntment, but was five minutes late, so they told her she would have the "go to the end of the line." She had to wait an hour more to get the phone looked at, and then the told her to take it to Best Buy, even though we didn't get the phone from Best Buy, but from Xfinity. read more

When I first contacted Wave to disconnect, I had no problem getting through. But I did have a problem with a representative who did not want to graciously accept my request to disconnect... but in the end (because I ignored his rebukes and demanded my service to be disconnected) he finally said all my services was disconnected and to return the modem within 14 days. My service was not disconnected (internet was, but not phone) so during the first several weeks I attempted calling Wave using the phone number on my account, and each time I called I got a recorder saying due to technical difficulties I'm unable to reach anyone. So after 4-5 attempts of calling, the 3rd week I went in personally to find out why my service was still on. She said my phone should have been disconnected at the first phone call I placed along with the internet, but didn't know why it wasn't, so she said she disconnected my phone, and for me to return the modem within 14 days. Again my phone was still not disconnected. So I attempted calling Wave several more times using the phone number on the account and again could not get through due to technical difficulties. Then a wave van showed up at my house (to which I was totally surprised as no one said anything about Wave coming out). He said he was there to disconnect my service??!. I said great will you take my modem in and please give me a receipt. He said he'd be glad to take my modem, but will not be able to give me a receipt. So that same day, I went in personally again, this time to hand over the modem so that I could get a receipt. Very disappointed in the trouble I went through with the first phone call and the representative not complying with my request without difficulty. And not being able to get through to Wave due to technical difficulties every time, to discuss my account since then.. Glad it's over!! read more

BEWARE! This is the worst internet company I have ever had. They sell you on quick, reliable fiber optic speed. What they don't tell you is their service rarely works. If you are with a cell carrier with limited data. this is not the service for you. I have had to increase my data plan with Verizon as well as pay overage fees. When calling wave - the average wait time is 48-58 minutes then additional wait time when needing to speak with a manager. Employee's seem to be untrained. Unable to answer the simplest questions. They are rude. Slur... curse. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional company. On two occasions technicians did not show up as scheduled. I would not advise anyone to choose this nightmare of a company. How they are still in business is beyond me. You would think a one & a half star rating would matter to this company. Apparently, NOT! Also, good luck on finding a working phone number. Most numbers listed online are not the right phone number and website is often down. Worst of the worst!! read more

If I could give a zero rating I would because they don't even deserve 1 star. I've tried to contact wave for a month now with no success of getting though, also my daughter has tried several times. Each time on hold for over an hour. The worst company I have dealt with. They sent out notices that changes to the account were happing and to go into your account and create a new password, but guess what couldn't access my account because they changed the account number. Who in their right mine decided to make this change with out giving everyone the new account number. Personally I think they should be fired. Finally I had to go to the local office to get my account number fortunately I live very close. But what about all the people that are unable to get to a office, like the elderly and handicapped. If I could change provider I would in a New York minute. I'm still unable to log in to use my tv apps keeps telling me no account on file.
