These guys are top notch. They are responsive and knowledgeable. We had some tricky requests and the answer was never no. It was always, let's figure out a way to do it. Still calling them 6 months later as I continue to add more features to our C4 system. And they've never let me down. Some of these reviews are unrealistic in my view. When working with technology things can be unpredictable. Expecting to hook up all this stuff flip a switch and it magically works perfectly is crazy. They've solved every problem eventually. And the "never give up" attitude is what I value more than speed. Avoid this place like the plague. It's truly horrible. They have an incredible sales pitch. Honestly fantastic and we were taken by it. They will tell you that they are doing work for huge companies and individuals and you are lucky to have them. Unfortunately for us, we believed them. First, they gave us a timeframe for installation which ended up being much later than they promised which caused us not to have our system in place for a party. Second, the wireless network that they set up had lots of holes in it. Their sales pitch promised that it would be flawless and if it wasn't, there would be no cost to us for making it right. It took them weeks to come out and analyze it and we had to threaten them to get them to show up. Finally they did.They tried to charge us a few thousand dollars more when it didn't work and blamed the house set up for the problem. The truth is they never came out and checked out how our house was set up and as a result, The system didn't work. They did put in more equipment to make it right and then tried to charge us for it. Eventually they wrote it off. But it was a fight every step of the way and the representations they made to us when we bought the system were simply over exaggerated. Third, we bought this service contract where they represented that they would be able to fix any problem that arose within a day. That simply was false. Today, we have not had I our system working for a few days and after they screwed around with it for a while over the Internet, said that they would not be able to get to it until next week. When we reported the representations that they made, they simply said we'll try, but we only have two technicians. If you are reading this note they only have two technicians that can solve problems. And now we are without our system for another week because they can't fix it. In short, these people overpromise and under deliver and overcharge also. Don't go near them. Superb! Very professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and quick turnaround. I had them install a Control4 system in my house and it went very smoothly. The field staff did not rest and worked late until they made sure I was fully satisfied and the whole home system worked perfectly. Their pricing was very fair. Wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who wants in home audio/video/home system installation. I am a new customer to Encore and based on my experience the previous review made no sense to me. It was not based on a business transaction with Encore. If you read the response from Encore, a car was parked illegally in a space reserved for Encore customers, the owner was asked to move it....did not do so and finally hours later was towed away. Now he/she blames Encore for "predatory practices". We all have to take responsibility for our actions. read more

I recently moved to Washington state, owned a $2500 streaming music player and my remote control was lost. My player was worthless unless I could get another remote. I checked the distributor and Encore Audio/Video was listed as a dealer for The Cocktail Audio X40 that I owned. I spoke with Clark, a very concerned professional store employee who said that he would order me the two remotes that I wanted. After our initial talk, he even called me back with an additional question. Since he told me that in order to help out he would not charge the usual markup and all this, as if I had purchased $10,000 worth of gear.
