If you're looking for improperly and poorly performed installations, poor workmanship, incomplete assemblies, defensiveness, belligerence, excuses and justification- Luis is your guy. I had to laugh, reading Luis's responses to the other one-star reviews. I got the same run-around on the phone. This guy is all about excuses and justification. What he's not, is capable, reliable, dependable and trustworthy. I hired Luis to install a pure sine wave power inverter into my car, to power a laser printer. I also hired him to assemble/install a laptop mount. The power inverter sounded an alarm and blew a fuse the first time I plugged the laptop in, even though it was in deep sleep mode, drawing very little power The power inverter came with a remote control power switch with a 15' cable. He didn't ask me where I wanted it. Instead, he installed it 3 inches from the power inverter itself. The power switch on the unit itself was easily accessible, so the only reason I can think of that he would bury 15' of cable and install it 3 inches from the unit, is sheer laziness. The laptop mount was assembled improperly. It fell apart as soon as I tried to use it. When I mentioned this, Luis's defensive response was that there were 'parts left over' but it "looked just like the picture on the box" and "felt stable" so he wasn't concerned about the parts left over. He admitted that he didn't read the instructions, he just looked at the generic picture on the box. When I attempted to use the laptop mount, it flipped over backward and dumped my brand new $1,000 laptop on the floor of the car. Long/short, I hired Luis to install two items, both of which were installed improperly and with a total lack of care, concern, or pride in workmanship. His only goal was to get paid, and get out. When I called him to report the power inverter failure and the laptop mount falling apart, he got very defensive and was suddenly 'very busy' and couldn't look at it until next week, in spite of the fact that I'd paid him $50 extra for next-day service, and a $50 tip in addition to that. Luis refused to take any accountability, instead was defensive and belligerent, albeit in a polite way, but utterly refused to take any responsibility or accountability. He had a perfectly clear schedule and was easily able to get the install done next-day when I was a cash paying customer, but his "guaranteed labor" evidently comes with a 'very busy schedule' and he can't get to you for a week to repair his improperly performed assembly and installation. The lazy, thoughtless, careless attitude throughout- the improperly assembled laptop mount with parts left over that he didn't mention until it fell apart; the remote control power switch installed 3 inches from the unit itself, an improper installation that caused the unit to blow the first time I plugged it in... and epic blow-off of "I can't get to it until next week, it's not my fault I'm busy"... unprofessionalism like I've never seen in my life. read more

The owner Louie came out and installed a stereo, but I noticed that he hit the dash kit with the back of the receiver. That's after he forgot to plug part of it in. The scratch on the dash is quite sizeable. I didn't think he would honor his work and sure enough. The amount of time he spent on the phone was about half, including a personal/non-emergency call. A bunch of texts as well. He kept on insisting to record a video and while putting in the receiver with one hand the other was holding the phone. Also, he was aggressive about providing a positive review which I refused. I called Louie and tried to talk in a calm manner, but he started shouting and told me to shut up. Alex from Astro Audio needs to be stopped from doing business. After his install of a LCD display, backup camera and auto start, the LCD display is swimming in my dash. The bracket that held the Display in the dash broke somehow after 1.5 month of usage, I contacted him since he promised a 1 year warranty on his products and install. All I got was excuses why he can't take care of the problem. He then told me that it would cost me more money since that bracket is not covered in the "Hardware and Install portion of our deal. He never told me that in the beginning. After I told him that this is unacceptable and that I would have to review it honestly, he then offered that he would pay for the bracket. I agreed so he ordered the $5 bracket to my house. I figured everyone deserves a chance to makeup for their mistakes. I told him that I received it about a week later and then he went on telling me that he is doing me a favor and that I would have to meet him elsewhere if I wanted to have him fix it. He also demanded a 5 STAR review after he replaces the bracket. He has been very aggressive about a Video review, yelp and google review since the beginning of our dealings. When the original install was complete he asked to, "Promise me that I would not be one of those customers that will mash the key fob buttons then call me saying this doesn't work". Now I know why he was preparing me in that manner. The system he installed has a major delay where I need to hit the Lock/Unlock button about 3-4 times for it to work and it is delayed majorly I asked him to please stop contacting me and he kept on messaging me his thoughts. . I contacted Louie by email and he was very prompt to get back to me with a list of parts I would need for my GL450. After purchasing them I contact Louie who set up the appointment at my work place. He was on time and put in a Sony headset, wire harness, back up camera and dash kit. He did a great job! I wasn't thrilled about the cord I would have to plug my phone in so Louie suggested he put a plug in the dash kit. He ordered the kit and a week later came by to install the kit. He advised he could not do it in the dash, but instead remove the cigarette lighter and moved it there. Great since I only use it for power. On Messenger we sorted through various options for a budget purchase and installation of a head unit/camera with CarPlay for my older Toyota SUV. He didn't know what resistors are or how to install them and he tried to blame me saying I didn't tell him which car I owed lmaoo but wouldn't you think if he didn't bother asking that when getting a quote he would notice once arriving and seeing the vehicle and you would not perform services. No instead he was extremely cocky saying his wiring is better then anyone else's ahaha please you left exposed wiring and you didnt even bolt down the other half of my amp, lc6 or sub. You broke paneling in my Jeep that you were supposedly going to replace but its been way over a month and where is it... also the fact that after 4 hours you decided to go to your car and grab a gun and a vest as if I'm ghetto like that cause you thought I wasn't going to pay you cause you couldn't get anything to work has me lmfao cause you must be intimidated by a female. Front and back speakers, amplifier, subwoofer, stereo (which included a back up camera), audio control LC7I and everything else to complete the job.
