I need to warn people about how an 80+ year old friend of mine was treated at the AT&T Store - Alabaster Promenade. She received one of those bogus pop-up messages claiming her phone had a virus -- the kind every scammer uses. Unsure what to do, she did the reasonable thing and took her phone to the store for help. She was told: * the "virus" could not be removed * she had to buy a new phone * moving her to the same (less expensive) model "didn't work" * instead, she needed a more expensive phone on a "no-cost" payment plan * and she was charged $60 on the spot She was also sent home with: * a new phone number * an additional line charge * and her supposedly "infected" old phone That night? Neither phone worked. Both showed "No Network." When she returned to the store the next day, she was told she could return the phone -- for a $55 restocking fee. Only after calling 611 and spending over an hour on hold, corporate immediately: * reversed the $60 charge * waived the restocking fee * arranged a free UPS return So let's be clear: AT&T corporate fixed this instantly. The problem was the store. To the manager of the Alabaster Promenade AT&T store: If your staff is trained to scare elderly customers into unnecessary upgrades, extra lines, and fees just to hit a quota, that's not sales -- it's exploitation. People deserve to know. Especially seniors and their families. Check on your parents. Check their bills. And think twice before trusting this location. read more

Wish you could leave a negative rating. Assistant store manager Alexis Hill just cheated me out of my money and 'kicked me out of the store' for requesting my money back. Very shady business going on in there after an extended wait in their queue. Elevated her voice with twitchy eyes knowing that she was in total control and nothing could be done about it. This is the type of customer service that you would expect in the 'hood' not my town. Anyway no one reads these things, I will simply have to wait until Monday without a phone to report this injustice. read more

Terrible experience. Rep Lindsey signing up elderly customers for Direct TV when they say no. She told them to call her if they have any issues and she nor the location answers calls or returns messages for a week now. Unable to reach anyone from the store to discuss this problem. Had to go through corporate support. Hopefully they will handle it. This is very unprofessional and stressful for elderly people. read more

Bought my wife an I phone 7 yesterday. Shortly after getting it home, the screen went purple and the battery started draining. She went back to the store today and they would not replace unless she gave them a $45 restocking fee. We called Apple and they helped us very quickly and easily. If you are shopping for Apple products go to the Apple Store or online Apple Store and skip the hassle of shopping with this Att store. read more

I have been to this location several times and have always been pleased with the service I get here, considering that AT&T 800-customer service sucks! So after dealing with customer service over the phone for 3 weeks and getting no where, me and my daughter took the problem here. We dealt with Drake who was outstanding and went out of his way to get our problem resolved. Unfortunately, he got no better results with their customer service, but it wasn't for lack of trying!! He was as shocked and disturbed at the lack of willingness from customer service to resolve our problem. I definitely give them 5 STARS because they are willing to go the extra mile to make sure your satisfied. But if I could rate AT&Ts 800-customer service, it would be in the negative!! Beware: do not allow AT&T access to your bank account by paying your bill thru their app!! Unless you don't mind them taking money out whenever they see fit!! read more
