Terrible customer service and typical AT&T stonewall tactics. I came into the store to terminate an account. It was in my name and paid for by me every month, but when I mentioned the relative who had used it had passed away, suddenly they needed a death certificate and refused to help me. Once again, I told the worker at the counter it was my phone, I bought it and paid the monthly fee. She still refused to help me and simply tossed a sticky note with a phone number at me. It's terrible service like this that made me leave AT&T 20 years ago for my personal cell phones. Every time I have dealt with AT&T in person or over the phone, it has been a bad experience. I've been going to this store for many years and have had great experiences with the employees and service. The last couple of times were less pleasant but not that bad. Today sucked. First thing I noticed is an appointment can't be made online as it used to be. Other stores, this is still an option. So I walked in and there was one employee. She was behind the counter assisting someone. Without looking up, and keeping her nose in the laptop, I got a "Welcome. We'll be with you shortly. Have a seat". No inquiry about what i needed. While I noticed other customers walking around like zombies, no other employees were present to assist. I waited for quite some time with no change and realized I wasnt going to be assisted. I ended up leaving and going to the Yorba Linda store. I recommend Yorba Linda. They were helpful and the experience was like how Anaheim Hills used to be. read more

I don't think I've ever been to ANY retail store that has less competent employees. I purchased a phone a couple months ago, I was told about this add-on charge that allows you to upgrade a phone after 15 months rather than once you pay the phone off. I said that's great for people who like to get the new shiny phone every year, but that doesn't apply to me. Apparently, I was signed up for this against my consent and they were charging me an extra five dollars a month for this upgrade that I didn't even want to begin with and made it very clear. I was told the gentleman who sold me the phone, Bryan, is the only one who would be able to remove this from my account, but I had to wait 14 days because I just bought the phone. I put it in my calendar and after 14 days, it still was not canceled and was unable to cancel online or through the app. On the app, it said I had to call customer service, I had no luck there because no one answered the phone when I tried. I called the store again and asked if they can please request that he remove it because every time I called, he was not in the store. It was never placed on his calendar and then I was told another time after I called a week later that I had to come into the store, and they cannot do anything over the phone due to account access, even though they can sell phones over the phone and they access the account for the same. I was already upset anyway I went to go into the store because I was unable to make an appointment online due to a website issue, and they were too busy to help. I try again the next week on a Tuesday at 2 PM, but they were too busy to help. I was still unable to make an appointment online, so I ended up going at 10 AM. Finally, Bryan seems to be working today and he should be able to cancel it super easy! He then told me that actually he can't cancel it and you have to call customer service. After he double checked what he told me, he was actually able to cancel it. This took me about two months to figure out, every employee was not helpful, everyone in the store has different opinions on what they can do versus what they can't do. ANOTHER thing was I was sold a phone screen protector that was "life time guaranteed" and was informed they will replace it if it breaks.. they failed to share it's $10 for a replacement so it's not a lifetime guarantee what so ever. Save your money and get it on Amazon. This whole place was a big fat scam.. Get your employees to read the customer service hand on and company policy, since everyone seems to have different ideas of what they can do. Again, I've never spoke to any employee that knows less and is less competent than anyone at this location. Do better. read more

Pretty terrible I came here to help my mother in law review her family plan and get several new phones for their account. The people working here seemed especially unhelpful. The lady we got was downright rude. Lots of unnecessary attitude and weird out of place sarcasm. She was really odd and off putting. In the middle of the transaction I just couldn't take it any longer and just said forget it and left. I went to another AT&T store and bought from them. I don't know if they work on commission but I just couldn't spend another second with this miserable person. My wife and mother in law were both glad I decided to leave- they had to walk away at different times because her bad attitude was really getting to them. I came here recently to get my mom's cellular phone activated. I hadn't been here in a while, but the store had been remodeled and looked great! I was quickly met by a friendly sales associate when I walked in the door. His name was Sean, and he said he could set up my mom's phone right away. He seemed very nice and helpful. He also took care of the phone within minutes. I had some time to look around. The store had very cool displays and all the phones and accessories you could imagine. I saw the new iPad mini and was so impressed with how clear it was. Compared to our older generation iPad, the mini's picture was beautiful! There were also some great promotions going on here too! The iPad mini was $100 off. This was a tempting offer! I didn't have a chance to look at any of the phones, but I'm sure there were other promos that the sales associate would have helpfully told me about if I'd asked. This is a great AT&T location. The customer service here was knowledgeable and friendly, and I liked hearing about the great discounts. Except for the fact this store can get really busy, I think this a nice location for any of your AT&T cellular needs. read more

Tip: There is an electronic waiting list for service at this store. The list appears on a TV to the left of the cash wrap. Make sure you check it to verify that your name gets added after you check in. I wish someone had told me this helpful tip! On our most recent visit to upgrade our phones we waited over a half an hour before realizing that people who arrived after we had were being helped before us. Apparently the person who checked us in and did not complete the check in process correctly which is why we were helped out of order. Needless to say that was frustrating. Kudos to Ron who helped fix this error. Ron was very friendly and made sure that whoever was available next would finally help us. Ron also provided honest and helpful information about the phone cases that I was debating. Ultimately he suggested the slightly more expensive and more protective sports phone case because it better suits my needs. Props also go to Isaac who was very helpful in explaining all the different plan options since it had been several years between our last visit to the store and our current visit to the store. He helped us navigate all the different options to choose the best option for us that was the most similar to our old plan which no longer exists. Isaac also showed us the new glass face plate which is so much better than the old plastic film protectors for the screen! Again this increased the price a little bit however I think peace of mind is worth the price of the screen protector. All in all good customer service (except for check in not working). Terrible experience with the manager Christina at this store and an employee named Greg. Someone had added an unauthorized line to my account and they refused to do anything about it. They have told me time and time again that I am stuck paying for a line charge as well as installments for a $1300 phone that I never purchased. They will be of no help to you at this store and we are currently in the process of pursuing legal action against this store and AT&T as a whole. The local area manager for ATT Allen has also done a great job of avoiding all my texts and phone calls to situate this mess that was created by the AT&T staff in Anaheim Hills for one of the stores he is supposedly overseeing. Christina time and time again said there is no one I could contact on a corporate level resulting in me being stuck paying for the phone. This is when I went to another store in Orange and the manager there has been much much much more helpful than the people at the AT&T store in Anaheim Hills. If you need to visit a AT&T store I would stay away from this location at all costs and go to the one on Katella and Tustin in the city of Orange. read more

I've been with AT&T for 16 years, and continuing my service. I came in today to transfer another carrier line to my plan. The store manager Marinel was so helpful & made it easier than we thought it was gonna be. She also did a data transfer to get all data, contacts, photos and apps downloaded to the new phone. It can get busy at the stores, so might be best to set up an appointment before coming in. I also called ahead of time to make sure they had the color phone we were looking to get. I was also able to view the new iPhone 12 Mini that I'm interested in upgrading to soon. I always like seeing the colors in person first. There are lots of great deals going on right now for new phones, some free, and others free only with trade ins that have no cracks and aren't extremely old...lol! You can also go online to the main website and log in to your account, or start new, but I always prefer to be assisted by knowledgable staff. read more

Rarely do I write a negative review, but I am going to make an exception this time. As a 28 year client, a small business owner, and former vice president of an airline, I have never been treated in such an outrageous manner. A few days earlier I purchased a new phone which was found immediately to be defective. I merely needed an exchange. it should have been a very simple process allowing me to go on about my day quickly in peace. It wasn't! Instead of a friendly assistant manager addressing my issues and taking care of the problem, this resulted in a heated yelling match. I was told AT& T policies" required I pay a "restocking fee"! For a defective phone? The phone needed to be returned to the manufacturer, not put back on the shelf for another potential customer! Since I needed the phone to work as I care for a frail, blind person, I relented, but it's not going to end there. Corporate management is going to get a well-written letter demanding not only an apology but compensation for costs that were not right nor fair. An important note: I wasn't the only customer present who got into a yelling match with the manager regarding initially defective equipment. Another very dissatisfied client experienced identical issues. A "restocking fee" of $ 55 was required to get him going again. What a crappy company! AT& T doesn't stand behind the products it sells without forcing a beleaguered customer to endure a supposed "warranty process" that could require days of waiting and remaining out of service. Simply unacceptable. Any product that is initially defective should be replaced immediately without question. This "manager" was new to the location. I wonder why! To be fair, the staff did what they could outside the view of the manager to make amends, but in my view this character needs to find another job. There is no excuse for this behavior, none! In four decades of being in business never have I had to endure such poor treatment. The bottom line: It's obvious this firm does not care about keeping its customers satisfied. Its policies do not allow local managers to make decisions on their own to maintain good customer relations. I would not recommend this company to anyone, and I mean that sincerely. read more

I have been a customer of AT&T since my first cell phone when I was 18. I have never had a problem with them, and I have no complaints, aside from the spotty service at my house. Luckily, they offer M-Cell which was a $150 unit, but with no extra monthly charge, and I now have great service up here in the hills. My experience this store has, for the most part, always been good. Most of the time I am in and out and whatever issue/question I have is resolved quickly. Sometimes there is a long wait, but what are you going to do about that? Yesterday I took my new iPhone 5 in to get activated and purchased a case for it. The man who helped me was super friendly and took care of everything in less than 10 minutes. Once, back in 2005, my dad bought me the Pink Razr as a Christmas present (I had the black one) and he bought it a few weeks before the holiday. The person who helped him was stupid and turned off my existing phone instead of waiting for me dad to give it to me as a gift. Kind of scary that my father can go in and get my cell shut off! Well, I realized on my lunch break that the phone wasn't working, so I drove to AT&T to figure out what the hell the problem was. I ended up getting the same guy who helped my dad that morning. He immediately knew who I was and that he had screwed up. Instead of ruining the surprise, he asked if my family members used AT&T. I told him my parents did, and he said he could offer them a free upgrade or something like that since I was a loyal customer. I thought that was odd, but I told him my dad's name was John. He reactivated my phone for me, and then immediately looked up my dad, called him, told him about the mistake, and gave him a free Bluetooth headset to make up for his error. So for Christmas I not only got a new phone, but I also got the Bluetooth headset to go with it. Yeah, they effed up, but they went out of their way to fix it :) read more

I had to go to multiple Att stores because nobody was able to help me do anything. They all needed "managers" for a simple exchange. Which all 4 stores I went to and not a single store had a manger. None! Hmmm? No manager or no way possible to do your exchange? You tell me. Shady. But let's go with the fact there is no manger like told at ALL 4 stores. They then say go to the corporate. Cool. I make my way down the address given which surprise... it's just another Att store. And without a manager. Sends me to the right place. Get to "Corporate" and NO MANAGER and not a single employee can help me. This whole Att industry is a joke. They all swear the managers just leave. You just missed them. ALL OF THEM AT EVERY LOCATION. They leave all hours of the day. Throughout this whole ordeal it's the biggest headache ever! Migraine. I hate Att and asurion. Which is the horrible shady insurance company they have. They do not work together. They don't help one another out. They are both shady. It's sad what I had to go through and never had a result. I got a Apple Watch. They never updated that into the "system" and asurion wouldn't cover said watch. Then said it was because of it not being hooked up to data. It was only being used by Bluetooth. Which is a lie I pay 10.00 a Month since buying the watch. But it gets offline at random and that's my fault I guess? Idk. I can't even remember the whole issue. Bottom line is they are no help. Worst experience of my life with any insurance company. No help from Att. I'm they didn't do things when I upgraded the watch and insurance won't cover. I pay my insurance for 10 years. I pay my watch monthly to have it without needing my phone. It has its own number and line. They are both liars and do not communicate at all with each other. I had one of the easiest and best customer service experiences here. There was an issue with the extended greeting on my voicemail that couldn't be solved from the AT&T website or troubleshooting on Google. Immediately upon entering, I was greeted by Enrique to see what he could do. Within five minutes, my voicemail issue was solved! We laughed at how simple it was and he said to come back anytime. I know what you're thinking - who uses voicemail these days? Now that my phone is all good, I'm happy that I can. It was a busy Saturday afternoon, but the branch does a good job of staffing, so the three other parties besides myself were all able to get help without a wait. Came into the store today 9/17/18 and was trying to return something I purchased from THEIR delivery company "Enjoy". Backstory: I upgraded a phone and thought fed ex or UPS would deliver it. Nope, a personalized service called Enjoy delivered it, and helped with the process - personalized and nice. She also had after market items available - which I bought. Today, I tried to return an unused wireless charger and the gal that helped me "manager" didn't catch her name, was so rude, rolled her eyes and she constantly checked her IWatch for text or something, because she could care less about me. Anyway - every time I mentioned "I bought it from Enjoy" she looked at me like I was crazy and she said "I don't even know what that is" how do you not even know your own companies delivery company. Enjoy offered me a 1 month return and this ATT location would not honor it. Uneducated - rude - and very unhelpful store. The gentleman in front of me - while I waited had 3 phones fraudulently bought on his account. I over heard her say "call customer service, we can't help you" completely laziness! I came into the store to work my business account with a specific salesperson, Bobby. He had just sat down with a customer and I was willing to wait, but the manager legitimately asked me to go home and come back in an hour. I don't live near this AT&T store, and it's the busiest traffic time of the day. So, I told the manager that I would fulfill the 3 iPhone 8 orders over the phone with business care rather than give it to the store. Wish I could give them a 1/2 star. Their business ethics are unethical, customer service is pathetic. Services are the worst. If you ever do use their services, please do not use "auto pay", they raise the rates quite often without your knowledge and/or consent. They've done it to me at least twice in the past year, I only find out whenever I check my balances on my bank accounts. I contacted customer services both times, spent "hours" on the phone with them, transferred from person to person, to finally have it corrected, then it happened again, and same run around. Well, I just found out they did it again this past month, so I contacted customer services, however, got tired after 30 minutes, so now, after writing this review, I surfing the net to see what other providers are available. Went in for a new phone upgrade. Wasted 53 minutes of time I will never get back when I was told it should take no more than 15 min. As my patience was wearing thin, I politely asked again, is this going to take a lot longer. The rep then replies, well I'm not sure, the system is running slow. On that note, GOOD BYE! Useless. I upgraded my cellphone to an iPhone 13 Pro Max last week. The screen has issues that no brand new phone should have. I go to replace it here and am told it's a $55 restocking fee. The management had the authority to waive it, as I was never told there is a restocking fee when I got my phone, but did not. They likely wanted to avoid replacing a phone that was not purchased at their location as it looks bad on them. At first they brought up the argument that they are a corporate store and cannot accept my return because I purchased the phone from an authorized retailer; Both the AT&T website and the AT&T customer service supervisor disproved this as I was well within my 14-day return period and can go to any AT&T store to return my phone. This location is self-serving with horrible customer service if it doesn't benefit them. They offered no further help. read more
