I am here during the pandemic to simply return a trade in phone that was already verified when I purchased a new phone last week. They wouldn't take the phone when I purchased the new one. So I returned an am here waiting, taking longer than the original purchase. This shouldn't be the process during COVID, coming to the store twice for one transaction, and having a reception who can't take a phone that was aleady inspected. I was having an issue with a new phone I had purchased as my old one was going to stop working when AT&T started to discontinue their 3G service. My new phone was able to get text messages, but I was unable to make or receive phone calls! I tried to get help via AT&T support chat, but the reps came up with some BS excuse saying my phone was locked and ended the chat abruptly. I came in to this store expecting a huge hassle, but was pleasantly surprised. I was helped my Lili and Imare and was in and out within 20 minutes. The reps were extremely nice and upfront. They let me know they were helping to train a new member and to bare with them as one of them was learning the ropes. The reps in the store all worked together seamlessly to answer questions and figure out the situation. I needed a new SIM card. Once we got that new card installed one of the reps stayed with me to ensure that my issue was resolved. She even specifically asked to have someone outside the store call to ensure the device was functional. I greatly appreciated this line of thinking; check it will work in an environment outside the store! I had a great experience with the team here. read more

I've watched many zombie movies, and I've figured out what happens to people whose brains have been eaten, but haven't quite transitioned in to full-on zombie mode: they work at this AT&T wireless store. I've worked retail, and understand that many times the store employee gets shade about something that is totally outside of his/her control. My issue with this AT&T store is solely based on the employees themselves. Here is what you won't get: someone who looks happy to be there, getting helped in under 20 minutes despite the fact that you are the only person in the store, receiving assistance without the employee simultaneously texting on their personal phone, the employee accepting that you like your phone instead of insisting that you upgrade to something you don't need/want. Here is what you will get: a lot of people with bad attitudes standing around in fancy clothes who don't really know anything about cellular technology, and who don't believe you when you insist, "YES, I have taken out the battery already and done a hard reset. PLEASE STOP LOOKING AT ME AS THOUGH I AM THE PROBLEM." I, like Ken N., had experienced enough of AT&T's shenanigans. I am now a loyal Verizon customer. read more

On December 31st, my wife returned to the AT&T store to complain about services and fees that were added to our bill without our consent. This is called "cramming and slamming" by the FCC. I told the manager that I needed to file a complaint against him for being incompetent and for his very poor customer service. He refused to share any corporate information with us for our legal department to redress this situation. (We got all that we needed without him anyways.) Instead, the manager called the police in an attempt to lie and say that we were "irate" customers. I am glad the police were smart enough NOT to come, because NO laws had been broken. I would end up filing complaints against them if my rights had been violated. Police have real crime to pursue, and I commend them for staying focused on REAL crime. This manager simply thought he could hustle my wife for a few extra bucks, treat her poorly and then dismiss her without consequence. This is a pattern of his based on other conversations we had with others who had come to complain about similar billing issues. Again, we have filed formal complaints with the FCC, BBB and our legal department will be mailing a formal complaint against this manager and employee to the corporate offices. Additionally, we will be in touch with consumer rights activist groups next week to notify them of our experience here and organize with our community partners to ensure no one else has been harmed or traumatized at this store. It's important to note that our phone line is used for our minority-owned business, and there are laws in place to protect us against big companies trying to exploit us. What we endured is simply unacceptable and will not be tolerated! I look forward to hearing from you (store owner) in regards to finding a peaceful resolution to this urgent matter within 7 days. I had recently purchased a samsung galaxy z flip cellphone. They have a deal trade in your old galaxy get a z flip for free. The lady when I was asking her questions about the deal did not inform me that I needed to switch plans. I did not switch plans so I got charged full price for the new phone. I only owed $233 on my old phone, now I owe $870 dollars. At&t gave me $130 for the trade in, instead of it being free!!! I talked to att customer service and the guy told me basically that I am screwed!!!!! Now I pay a bigger payment plan for this new phone, cause I didn't know I needed to change plans. Oh boy do you guys make it hard to stay with AT&T. I've been having problems with my phone for a while, I have tried calling AT&T with not much help so I thought I would talk to the "friendly" staff at my local store. They were super "helpful" in telling me 1) it must be an Apple issue (nope), 2)iMessage issue (nope), 3) reboot it (lol like I'm an idiot and haven't done that), well you need to call AT&T, wtf? And who should I talk to, is there an escalation I should do? Which dept? Oh you should call customer retention, why? While I am on a rant, since when did you need my bloody driving license? You shouldn't have a copy of it on record so what are you comparing it to? Slower then a car dealership. I watched multiple people walk out because they were so slow, understaffed . They kept telling the customers were, " we have more people coming in". You simply cannot go in for a quick purchase. Buying a case, returning a case, turning on a phone is a time consuming ordeal. They have no process in place to get people in and out quickly. I loathe coming to the AT&T stores. I try to do everything on the AT&T website before I have to peel myself off my laptop and head towards misery. But today I had to. What I can't stand the most is bad customer service. I used to work in customer service and worked my butt off because that is what you are paid to do-provide care and service to people who are spending their hard earned money. That deserves some level of respect. Customer service is not "I'll do the bare minimum so I can get a paycheck in two weeks and if I am having a bad day then I'll submit to making everyone else around me feel crappy." If AT&T reps can't understand that, why be in the customer service industry? My biggest complaint here is: there are 3-4 reps hanging out in the store. I walk in and they look at each other, non-verbally communicating amongst themselves as to who has to ACTUALLY do their job. It's like they're saying "you do it," "No, you help," "naw man, I got the last person." I can see AND FEEL how much they loathe helping out. Once they all decide which one of them is going to help me, that's when i get acknowledged. Finally. In a very forceful, fake tone, the rep says "Hi. Welcome to AT&T, how can I help you? BTW, I don't deserve my paycheck." Hehe, that last part-I wish. Let me go back a little bit. Another thing they do when you walk in, THEY ALL STARE YOU DOWN. Now, I'm a short girl, literally people stare down at me all the time. But I know very well when it's literal, and when it's figurative. It's figurative here. And it's like this all the time. And it's not just one or two people...it's all the employees. I think the employees learn and enjoy having this bad attitude from the manager. I think his name is Jacobi (when the reps can't help me, which is often, they go to him). All the times I have been there, he never acknowledges, never smiles, never addresses me (even though the rep can't help me, he talks to the rep to talk to me). A very hands-off person. Not a good role model that should be representing the company! I really feel bad going here. They really make you feel sub-human. I bad about myself. And this is literal. I'm embarrassed to say this, but I got to the point where I wanted to cry after I got in my car. But my want to cry just turned to anger. I called AT&T customer service and gave them location of the store and names of the employees who treated me like crap. Looking at all the other reviews, this is not an isolated incident. We had such a warm and welcoming also educational experience during our upgrade purchase I just wanted to let you know! Orlando advised us of all the current promotions and use and benefits of the phones we were interested in as well as provided an emailed receipt so I could register our accessories for lifetime replacement! New review Yes it's a brighter and more distracting place then the dmv. Some of the employees really try hard to do their jobs others seem to be doing something different. As you wait and wait, it's a busy place. It's hard to ease drop and seem amused. I mean there might be a patron asking like 1000 questions about connectivity with their other crappy one year "devices" but I just want to fix what isn't working so I wait. Or they have a wizard sales guy that lets them know of his latest tidbit knowledge about the web and stuuufff, but most people don't seem to share in his enthusiasm. Put me out of my misery please, if it wasn't for charles I'd jump off a cell tower. Older review: Run don't walk the other way. Service once u get a phone: disparaging Follow up: one of the worst vendors I've had on the corporate level. Product knowledge: this crew knows way too much but the corporate restraint makes it tough to get anything done. As a business client I just expect that they would return the call. Not helpful, and they changed my plan without telling me....I wasn't able to send or receive texts for 3 weeks and when I finally called (I thought it was just my new phone being quirky), they told me my plan was changed and they would charge me to change it back!!!! I told them that wasn't going to happen and they refunded me the charge but were not able to recover the texts that I missed for 3 weeks!!!---unbelievable. If you want to save yourself a big headache do not go to this location. Flora is one of the employees and she helped me with changes cc'd to my account while continuously assuring me that my cost per month would be the same. When I got my first bill it was $100 dollars more and then after that it continued to be $30-$40 more every month. Nowadays she denies she ever said it would be the same. I tried contacting the manager it took almost a month to finally speak to him. He promised he would look into it and call me back. He never called when he said he would. Terrible customer service. I've worked in customer service for five years and hate the job, but I've never been as inconsiderate to a customer as these people were to me. I know I'm setting this up as though I'm a dick, but let me explain what I endured. First off it was completely dead, aside from one other customer in the corner and the three customer service reps in the little circle-desk in the middle, nobody was in the building. Two CSRs were talking about what sort of rims they should put on their car, while the third one, the manager, literally stood with his back to me playing solitaire. Solitaire, the lamest way to goof off at work when you have internet access. What a douche. After a little under a minute one of the CSRs taps the manager on the shoulder and asks him to assist me. From there, things went pretty smooth until a fourth CSR walked out of the Employees Only room towards the exit but was stopped by the CSR/Manager assisting me... and the two of them talked about switching shifts, then asking about weekend plans to see if they could go to the beach. This went on for about two minutes before he came back to assist me; but I, in an effort to pull a dick move of my own, and feeling incredibly lame as I did it, made a phone call just when he began talking to me and talked about how I can't wait for Fallout 3 to come out for the 360 with my friend for a minute myself... which really confused my friend who I never call. I have been a loyal AT&T BUSINESS customer for many, many years and this is the first time I have considered switching carriers. I went into this store a few months ago to check into upgrading my company plan and buying a new iPhone 6 or 6s; possibly 2 or 3 for my employees. I had a few basic questions about my plan and I was met with distain, impatience and no help. The person I dealt with wanted to sell me an in home security system instead! When I balked about that, she hurried me out the door. Ridiculous! I am still considering whether or not to switch carriers. I am currently month to month, since AT&T is not really offering much incentive to go with a 2 year plan. Definitely not the customer service I am used to from them. Sad. read more

Staff is not that knowledgable. The store is usually crowded. Takes a long time to get any assistance. Even then they don't know the services offered by AT&T wireless. They have to call their manager to confirm that something that is on there website is something the company really offers. If you know what you want and have the time for the staff to confirm that it is actually an offering after waiting while for service then this is the place for you. Better yet, don't even bother going here and head over to Best Buy a few buildings down. read more

If you're an AT&T customer like me and feel like you MUST buy your phone from them be forewarned: It's a crapshoot as to whether your rep is knowledgeable. I've been to this store before and had excellent help. Recently I upgraded to an iPhone5 and the clerk who handled the transaction was totally clueless. Totally. She had no idea how The Cloud works and kept insisting I needed to go home and do a bunch of backups and downloads with my PC to make my phone operable. I knew I was in trouble when twice she tried to insert a USB plug into a PC upside down. I appreciate the fact that people need a job but could you maybe TRAIN them regarding the products they're selling? read more

Information they provide is not reliable, differs with store to store or between agents in a same store. Ultra flexible on a new connection, once you join, you will be least taken care of. Staff needs to be trained on basics. I was shocked with their lack of awareness on some every day issues. If you got a problem its better to call than going to store. If you go to store you will see guys doing something on ipads and struggling all together, finally you will leave the store with nothing but lot of confusion. Awful. Just awful. This location. I am a new ATT customer and have been to other locations in the last couple months for this reason or that and had good service. First I started my service at this location and my account was so screwed up that it has taken 8 weeks to get it straightened out...ATT had a difficult time figuring out what transpired. My daughter went to the Corvallis store to pick up her phone since she goes to school there and the CSR that helped her noticed our messed up account and started the process of fixing it. The person that set up my account was new 8 weeks ago and no longer there. Ok, so I went in just to get a screen protector and case for a new company phone and this sleazy, smarmy salesperson came at me before I made it through the door...not kidding. He stuck his hand out for me to shake and introduced himself...ugh, way to soon for this. So this guy is all full of confidence due to the 3 or 4 closing techniques they taught in his first week on the job and literally vomited about 100 words without expressing a complete thought. When I asked a couple of questions, he tossed out a bunch more words, again without expressing a complete thought. I finally said, Shhhhh....too many words. I ended up buying a $30 screen protector and had him put it on and left as soon as I could. Well, I noticed the screen protector was put on crooked. There is some tolerance but this was way off. It was hanging out over the button and one edge of the IPhone and would have been a mess in a few weeks. I took it back and they said they couldn't take it off and reposition it and they wouldn't give me a refund because it was already installed...classic catch 22. I reminded them that they installed it but still, no. While still in the store, I called ATT customer service and explained the situation and was given a $30 credit on my bill. So, yeah! ATT, but you're gonna need a bath after doing business at this location. That said, I actually had a very positive experience at Washington Square Mall and I hate malls. read more

Set both her phones up for her over the years, even though I bought them in California with my work place discount. She was very personal asked me about the holidays and Christmas. At the beginning of my appointment introduced herself and shook my hand she was also very professional but kind. Total trash!I was with sprint 7 years and regret this change!I just went into the store because I was quoted a certain price when I signed up by a guy named Sosa..long story short my bill comes with a bunch of pro ration ect..on top of that they say my insurance was taken off..the manager (Victoria) sat there listening to this snide and snarky rep named Lucy talk crap to me about how I had changed it cause nobody else can make those changes and when I said "I don't appreciate her insinuating I'm lying" she didn't even look up and kept talking rudely to me,they thought they could go through their notes and find where I had changed it but couldn't find anything cause I was telling the truth!Still no apology,I walked out.I will be contacting AT&T's cooperate office since no manager down there can fix my solution and seems to be ok with their employees talking crap to customers.Lucy should definitely not be working customer service!I will not step foot in that place again and will be paying off my account and heading back to sprint!!If this is the people you have as customers service reps good luck!! read more

Just had the worst experience with an AT&T rep here at the store. She was so unpleasant and just plain mean. She definitely picked the wrong career to go into. She used terms that only her staff or the people with badges would know and gave me "the look" when I asked her to explain what she was trying to tell me. I can't help but wonder if it was an Asian thing or the fact that we did not purchase our phones with her and therefore she did not get any commission off of us so she treated us like we were a burden. Either way she gets paid by the hour to customer service any guests that walk through that door; whether it be a question or a troubleshoot or just restarting their phones. No wonder people still lean towards iPhones... it's not so much the phones that sell but also the customer service that comes with them. I have been an AT&T customer for over 15 years and this is the first time that I have received a very unprofessional service. Very poorly executed. Very disappointing. Wow! These guys are amazing! I went to this store after having a horrible experience at a wireless outlet in another store. I will never do that again! I was left with so many problems and dealt with very rudely, that I just about returned my phone and said I was done with AT & T. But the moment I walked into the AT & T store on Town Center Drive, the reps were non-stop helpful, and funny to boot! Ricardo was happy to help me and fix all of the problems I had with number porting and the account, and got it fixed just fine. When the other outlet said it just wasn't possible and they wanted to charge some big extravagant fee to port my number. Brian taught me how to use my phone, fixed a lot of the settings and transferred over my contacts from my old phone. The other place said my phone was just too old and it couldn't be done. He did it in less than 5 minutes! I couldn't believe how many things they helped me with and they didn't charge me. Plus Ricardo put a new sim card in my phone and didn't charge for it either. Of course I had just gotten a new 2-yr contract and a new phone with AT & T, so our service was new. I just can't say enough good things about this store and the reps there. They were fantastic! Oh, please beware of going to other outlets that are selling services for multiple wireless carriers. You will not get accurate info and risk being swindled.
