After a frustrating experience at another T-Mobile location, I came to this store hoping someone could finally help me resolve an issue that had been ongoing for years. From the moment I walked in, the experience was completely different. The staff treated me with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. They listened to my concerns, took the time to understand the situation, and handled everything seamlessly. What multiple stores had made feel complicated and inconvenient, this team resolved quickly and efficiently without making me feel like I was a burden. Although the outcome couldn't undo years of unnecessary charges, I truly appreciate that this store was willing to help when others were not. Their focus was on providing excellent customer service rather than passing me off to someone else. Bait & switch operation. The plan that was offered to me on the phone was not available when I arrived at the store. I signed up anyway. I had nothing but problems with the Lloyd Center store. The "free" phone (17e) was defective. Managers tried to charge me a $70 restocking fee, even though the damaged phone should not have ever been stocked. I finally called 611; talked with very nice people who sent me a shipping label. Poor customer service at Lloyd Center. read more

Came in on a Tuesday evening close to closing time. There were about 3 people in there and two workers. I walked here since I was at a conference downtown but they have a small parking lot. Lots of trash nearby. So wasn't the cleanest of spots outside but it was pretty well maintained inside. After the small wait, I was served. It was a decent job that they did. They had to go thru a lot of different avenues to get me the answer I needed. Turns out someone set up my account at home wrong and so I had to bring in all of my equipment to rectify it which explains why I was having problems. They did say I would have to pay a fee when I bring in my equipment but that was wrong. I wouldn't necessarily go back to this location if I was in town again but the location is convenient and the employees were pretty chill. read more

Do not bother to sign up for T-Mobile at ANY of their locations. Although we have to use our cell phone hotspot to get online with our laptop, it was a good experience for the first 2 years. We pay via auto pay each month and have never missed a bill. We stay within our limits of usage. BUT, suddenly we frequently have NO internet hotspot, NO cell phone, NO texting and T-Mobile can't or will not tell us why. My husband is in hospice care so this treatment is alarming. Find another source for your internet and cellphone needs. T-Mobile has deteriorated. read more

Very disappointed with this T-Mobile location and especially with the management team. I bought a brand new phone, and within just a few days I noticed a clear issue inside the screen. Instead of helping me, the employees and manager immediately claimed it was "just a scratch" and refused to take responsibility. What shocked me even more was that Apple Store employees confirmed that it looks like an internal display issue and that the phone needs repair. It is unacceptable that a customer who paid for a new phone is treated this way after only one week of use. The staff were not helpful, did not try to resolve the situation professionally, and simply told me to pay for another phone. I expected much better customer service and support from T-Mobile. We had T-Mobile internet service for just under one year. It was very slow 5G. We had several months of trouble shooting, and finally one of their tech support folks doubled checked our location and discovered our address was outside their coverage, which was the problem. And, they should never have provided service for us. Then, working with their customer service to close the account and settle the account with a reasonable refund was a nightmare. No accountability, no follow up, nothing. At the end, we got multiple bills for the final month, they nickel and dimed us to death. So, buyer beware. Beware: Setup is quick, but then be careful with confusing and shady billing practices. Terrible app with a lot of extra stuff that is not required, but required stuff is missing or not functional. All that confuses customers and THEN overcharging too much for missing payments. Staff is rather polite than helpful in solving issues. Even getting bill details and cancellation become a few hours problems with a need to escalate from AI to live support, then tier 1, and then tier 2 support. After hours of talking they asked 7 days to pro-rate final bill, instead of me waiting another month. I am very happy I don't need these services anymore. read more

When I was entering the store it was empty and two employees sitting there looked like bore. We got helped by Ben but he was barely talking looking down all the time barely making eye contact he seem sleepy or bored anyway he did not wanted to help, we wanted information about the new iphone and at the end wanted to purchase it, instead we got answers like no we don't have it which he was lying his teammate said we do have it. He was very negative about everything we were asking like he didn't want to make a sale. There was a 3rd employee that came back from lunch unfortunately I didn't got his name he was very helpful with another customer and very attentive. Unfortunately, my family's experience with T-Mobile has been horrific. I'd give no stars if possible after the nightmare they put us through. Unless you want to support an unaccountable company with powerless representatives, be charged wrongfully for system errors, and spend endless hours on the phone waiting for replies and lack of resolution from the illusive "escalation team," stay far away! It's been 11 MONTHS and our issue is still unresolved! Your time, money and peace of mind is better spent with another phone company. Last November 2016, I signed up by phone for 2 free lines (phone & watch) under their Cyber Monday deal. I asked the rep to hold the phone line for my grandma till January when I'd visit her (Portland to Hawaii) to help her set it up. The rep agreed and added that I was eligible for a free samsung watch so she said she'd send this and the sim card. Too good to be true, these never arrived. In January my grandma and I went to T-Mobile Waimalu to pick out her phone but staff told us there was a processing error so we needed to talk to phone customer service for help. This was a headache- I spoke to customer service, telecommunications, and loyalty who told me they'd add the lines and waive the fee, which would take a few days. I had to go back to Portland so my grandma wasn't able to get her phone. Two lines were added but charged so I called again but they said they needed to escalate the issue. All I wanted was them to honor the promotion so my grandma could get her free line and a phone. How hard is that? Every month, I called about the escalation. Numerous reps told me they would escalate it and to wait for a reply, but I never got a call about the status. Fed up, my dad and I asked for help in-store at the Lloyd Center and Broadway St, however reps said they don't have the power to resolve the issue and referred us to calling Loyalty. This was a joke- the Loyalty person said the escalation was still in progress. In August, we decided enough was enough and tried calling T-Mobile to cancel the charged line and refund us the $158 total charged but the rep was resistant and said he couldn't provide a full refund. This is robbery- paying for a service you aren't provided while the company makes profits off you! Some T-Mobile reps are nice but powerless to the cause, while others are incompetent assholes who blame customers for what is obviously T-Mobile's system error. The one thing I like is T-mobile Tuesday freebies- but beware, maybe they're paying for these by robbing customers out of their money elsewhere. read more

T-Mobile 588 SW Broadway Portland, OR 97209 I recently retired and have been a satisfied T-Mobile family plan customer for 22 years. I needed to port my business phone number from a different carrier to T-Mobile, which turned out to be quite a challenge due to incorrect PIN numbers and the complexities of moving a business (plan) line to a personal line. The business plan carrier put in as many roadblocks as possible to stall or block the transfer. Lee, the store manager, and Jordan, his associate, went above and beyond to resolve the issue. They spent over two hours working diligently to sort everything out: multiple phone calls and texts. I was truly impressed by their knowledge, dedication, demeanor, and patience throughout the process. While I was there, I noticed how the rest of the team interacted with customers coming through the door. Their approach was consistently welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and low-pressure. It was clear that they genuinely cared about providing the best experience possible. I highly recommend this T-Mobile store for their exceptional customer service and dedication. read more

Beware of T-Mobile pricing. We signed up with a sales person over the phone who made a lot of promises that never came into fruition. We should have gone with our gut and not moved forward. Lesson learned now, but we cancelled after being charged almost double what we were expecting for the first month. The service was just ok despite being located between two towers, and the pricing totally unreasonable with no good option for home internet. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

First of all never expect good customer service from T-mobile from an outlet or over the phone. Secondly, you should never sign up for a contract from any carrier. This is a ploy to keep you locked in. There are carriers that are available that don't do this. Lastly, they claim your internet is unlimited. Not true! After you reach 50 GB they warn you they will ramp you down until you reach the next billing cycle. If you reach 100 GB they notify you that your speed will go down to 600 kbs until the next cycle. Unlimited internet with T-mobile is just false. It's time people wake up to this and start voting with their dollars. There are better carriers out there that do provide unlimited internet and don't try to lock you in with a contract. Do your research and you will find better value for your hard earned money elsewhere. read more

Sometimes, I feel like good customer service has become a lost art. Then, I met Lee and his staff at the T-Mobile store, especially his outstanding salesman, Daniel. After researching which phone carrier to switch to, I decided to visit the Apple Store for a thorough diagnostic of my iPhone to ensure it was in good shape before making any changes. While at the Apple Store, I discovered that both the Verizon and T-Mobile stores were just a few blocks away. I decided to visit them to see what they could offer. Although I had been preparing for over a week, I wanted to speak with the people at both carriers before making a final decision. Having been with AT&T for so long, switching to a new carrier felt like a big change. When I arrived at the Verizon store, I found it closed. Disappointing, but not a big deal. I then headed to T-Mobile. Lee, the store manager, greeted me at the door. He saw me pass by and asked if I needed assistance. When I told him I was considering a new carrier, he assured me that I would be in good hands with Daniel. Indeed, Daniel asked me many questions to determine which plan would best fit my needs. He didn't try to sell me anything right away; instead, he wanted to have a conversation and explain what each plan offered. The more questions he asked, the more confident both of us felt about finding a plan that suited my needs. One thing that impressed me was that once he identified what I needed, he didn't push the top plan on me or try to sell me anything extra. When I realized I could save a decent amount of money and get better features than I had, I decided to start the process. Before doing anything, Daniel made sure everything was in order for the transfer, including checking my phone to ensure it was unlocked and eligible. He even took an interest in how I used my phone, asking about the VoiceOver screen reader and being impressed with how I navigated it. My blindness was never an issue for Daniel. Everything was going incredibly smoothly--until it wasn't. There was an issue with the technology during the transfer of my phone numbers between carriers. I didn't understand all the details, but the eSIM cards weren't reading correctly. We were transferring numbers for both my phone and my watch, doubling the problem. And did I mention it was closing time at the store? Daniel remained cool, calm, and collected as he troubleshot the issue. He and his coworker discussed the problem and even called technical support for assistance. Forty-five minutes after closing time, things were finally working! Daniel assured me that he would do everything in his power to get my phone working that night because he knew I needed it. He also mentioned that if I returned the next day, he would help me finish porting and resetting my watch and complete some paperwork for rebates and savings with my new plan. His determination and dedication were much appreciated because I really needed my phone. We managed to get most things sorted out, but I will go back tomorrow to finish everything. Interestingly, today was Daniel's last day at that particular store. He told me where he would be working next, and it turns out the new store is much closer to my house. So, it will be no problem to finish working with him tomorrow. How cool is that! I am very thankful to Lee for letting Daniel assist me with such great customer service. Daniel went above and beyond to ensure I had a positive experience switching to a new carrier. This review is for the T-Mobile retail store near Pioneer Courthouse Square in PDX. Our first visit in to this store and they were exceptionally helpful and kind. We were mainly helped by the manager Lee who went above and beyond to make sure our requests were taken care of, from porting a phone from another carrier to helping us with home internet. Avoid this store! We bought iPhone 16's and took them into the store because they had a SIM Block. Store manager, Leandrew could not be bothered and lied to us stating we had to go home, sign in on our laptop, which sends a text code for verification...but our service wasn't turned on. Apple told us he needed to call customer service and they would remove the block. The next day I called T-Mobile and the agent from New Mexico call center said to go into another store and look at all the notes she put on our file. We ran over to the Jantzen Beach store where Tony had both phones function 15 minutes after he called customer service. Leandrew was lazy and should not have lied to us. We won't go into the SW Broadway store in downtown Portland again. Terrible lazy service. read more

I been with T Mobile for 10 years, and have 4 lines. I'm extremely disappointed that the company is not able to help me to get the new iPhone 16, since only 1 line has a phone that will keep having updates but the others don't. The only option is to trade the phones I have that don't worth much and to pay more than $2,000 if I want to upgrade the phones, even if I change my plan, so not real help here for the loyal customer, and the kicker is that I lost my job and can't afford the the excessive cost. Their system began to screw up that you have to call their customer service which they began to charge you 5 USD for each of their help. Their REVL7 phone is a crab which causes lost data due to hang, misread, and bugs in several apps like phone, camera, bluetooth, etc. Just can't believe they market such a defective product. read more

I went into this store to set up a new Iphone I bought off Gazelle and transfer data from my piece of crap pixel 7 which I bought from them. There were 3 associates in there and three customers in there including me. My associate after already starting to help me needed help from another associate. That associate comes over to me and says data transfers take a long time and I am short staffed at the moment so I can't do this for you now and you need to go to another store. I said I don't see another customer waiting to be helped. But he would have anything to do with it and just told me to go to another store. After contacting tmobile on the phone it seems like a pretty straight forward process and if the associate in the store told me the same thing I would have been more then happy to go home and try it. I think people forget who the customer is and how they expect to be treated. read more

We ordered Tmobile wireless internet only, we aren't interested in their phone service. We aren't really willing to pay high cell phone bills, we aren't that fond of phones. We heard absolutely nothing from them, when we finally were able to get an answer they just said the modem/router combo was on the way. It arrived and it was easy to set up. (even for a confirmed Luddite like me!) Initially, the range of the wifi was limited, even though the entire space is 650 sq ft. As the days went by our devices connected, even where the signal was weak just one wall and 20 feet away. Now my Roku devices are all receiving the signals well enough to function, but it took a while for the devices to do so. There are occasional momentary slower downloading events, in comparison to fiber-optic service. But they are fleeting at best. The Modem /Router initial setup requires the Tmobile App, but once up and running the sleek black unit displays no lights of any type, which is disconcerting at first, but it is a welcome change because the device is unobtrusive, even though it needs to be near a window. Centurylink, our former carrier, wasn't able to give us service in this building that literally recommends Centurylink in its welcome package. But if we signed an agreement to pay for new wiring to be run to our 5th-floor apartment if necessary, they'd send someone out. No, thank you! While I miss the lightning-fast fiber-optic speeds, T-Mobile Wireless Internet is an excellent choice, with one caveat, We live in Goose Hollow on a hillside. We overlook much of the city unobstructed, with very likely hundreds of cell towers near us, so our experience may be different than others. read more

I am surprised and pleased to be making this review. Changing cell phone carriers is generally less fun than a root canal without anesthetic. So I wasn't looking forward to going in to T-mobile today to transfer our service to them. Drum roll, please. We were in and out in about 20 minutes. DeShawn was quick and clear. This was the last stressful change I have ever made. Bravo! On the downside, I hate stores that refuse to allow their customers to use their restrooms and expect that you will go into another business to use theirs. read more

But they all have poor customer service with non-english speaking foreign call centers. Billing issues, piss poor wi-fi, etc. Customer service reps that do speak engrish are post millennial MORON's. I needed a new phone but had been having issues with my account so I was stuck in the store on hold with customer service for over an hour. But, the two associates working were so kind and patient. Once I finished with customer service, Lee helped me get everything I needed and more. I felt bad keeping them past close but him and the store manager at this location both reassured me the most important thing was for me to leave happy and all set up with my new devices. I went in yesterday to upgrade my phone, and I'm glad that I went when I did because soon afterwards, the store was bustling. There were only two or so employees at a time, but they looked to be in good spirits. I don't remember the other guy's name (he was white with shaggy hair, working 09/16 around 3:30pm) but he was also really nice and thanked me for my patience. Hallyot helped me order my new phone and went over all of the paperwork with me. He was patient, and was polite and was great at welcoming new people into the store and adding them to the waitlist. He was a really great employee (he and the other guy! Sorry, I didn't get your name). Monse R at Cascacade Park was able to fix a problem with my phone and uninstall Messenger Home SMS app. I tried but couldn't, and another Tmobil tech couldn't. My partner and I had THE BEST ever experience with a phone company in our lives today with Silas and the stores manager... Diana? We didn't get her business card, but they worked together for almost an HOUR after closing to troubleshoot a few complicated issues to successfully upgrade our phones. My partner had a work emergency, needing access to his phone when it wouldn't turn on, which brought on a tedious onslaught of workarounds. But despite having better things to do after closing on a Saturday night they stayed to help. I don't normally leave reviews for things.. it makes me generally uncomfortable.. BUT they were the kindest most patient people I've ever engaged with in this kind of situation. We would be doing them a huge disservice to leave without giving something back. Wow...where do I begin. First let me say working at a store in Old Town isnt always easy. The 2 guys who worked there before ANGEL were tough but cool and kind patient they knew how to work in "the jungle" I miss Preston and the guy after him a lot. The guy working there in early 2021 is so rude. Metro was charging me for 3 lines only 1was in use. Not only that but all the extras were on those lines as well. Im paying $30 for a line then message to text insurance call waiting caller ID the whole 9 yards. I went from $50 a month to $65 then$83 and now over $100. It literally doubled. I wanted that fixed. Well he was trying everything to get out of working. My ID was the paper they send you while waiting for ID. Well Mr. Angel called me a liar and said that isnt the paper DMV uses. Ibhad ID up the kazoo. He wouldnt help me. I tried killing him with kindness and apologized for i dont know why. He refused to take my payment. I asked what do I do. Call metro. Ok. It was raining he made me stand in the rain to call. This wonderful woman had it cleaned up and fixed in less than 5 minutes. Not only would Angel not take my money he said and I quote "Im going to call all the stores and tell them you are rude and to not help you" Really....and how old are you? Im not the only one he has kicked out of HIS STORE. He didnt want to do the work and was not happy that it was actually pretty minor. It takes a smart kind person to work down here. We are plagued with insanity drug use homelessness people fighting The cops are around. I mean its the Jungle. And we look out for one another cause no one else will. I think Angel made that very clear when he was threatening me. C'mon Metro this is NOT ok. Its ridiculous and shameful I want something done about this. I cant walk to far and I changed to Metro cause you are right across the street. Then have some cabana boy tell me I cant go in there. And you guys have ripped me off for months I just thought price was going up. But you couldnt get away with it forever. And to be treated like im the bad guy. Flew in for Thanksgiving for a little hometown festivities and left my phone in the Uber. UGH! I walked down to T-Mobile and walked out 30 minutes later with a new phone. The service was great and fast. More importantly, they blocked access to my old phone. Luckily, the Uber driver was nice enough to bring back my phone a few hours later. Weird start to a holiday week but now I have two phones. read more

Great customer service! Kuddos to Kristina for helping me out and being able to walk out with a new phone right away. She was amazing, and didn't pressure me into anything! I came in to the store yesterday because while I was Christmas shopping in downtown, my phone just completely shut off! I panicked because I don't have a car and the only way I can get home was through a bus app I had on my phone or through uber. I found the Mobile shop (thank god I remembered where it was located) and walked right in. The store was pretty busy and each employee was with a customer. I was greeted and didn't wait long until I was assisted by Kristina. I explained to her what happened and she was familiar with the product and issues I was having. Long story short, I was and I was out! I never felt pressured or hassled. Kristina was very pleasant and even dug through the clearance bin for an afordable, yet fantastic deal on a phone case! After everything was settled, she suggested that I sit on a bench inside the store so that I can download my bus app and stay out of the cold rain outside. * Great for people from Vancouver! * Ok, so Canadian mobile carriers royally rip us off when visiting the States. Royally! So I decided to take the advice of some folks and get a local sim card in the States for my trips down. I checked around and it seemed that T-mobile had the best pre-paid plan that would work well for occasional use. I had expected a bit of a hassle getting set up, not having a US address, etc. But walked into this store, got my pre-paid sim, got it activated in the store, got a bonus credit from a very kind saleswoman, and was on my way in a grand total of about 7 minutes. When she realized I was from Vancouver, she even said, "Would you like a Vancouver number?" I had the "Huh?" reaction thinking what on earth does she mean? I asked, and she said I could have a number from Vancouver. My thought: "Vancouver is international - how the heck are you going to do that?" But I said, "Um...Sure. That sounds great." She proceeded to give me a "Vancouver" number. Turns out she meant Vancouver, Washington! Duh! But hey, this is such a nice deal compared to my previous solution for roaming in the States, and they didn't give me any hassle at all about not being local. Yeah! read more
