I've been to several AT&T stores and got the best service at this location from Danny. He was incredibly knowledgable and thorough. He was patient and helped me to maximize on my phone plan all the while saving money too! I've seen other reps at this location but none as great as Danny. My name is Joshua , I'm a long time customer with At&t with my phone and internet , I've recently had the worst contact with a Taniega in the customer service department regarding my internet services. I already was upset by the services I've been receiving by how slow the internet has been running and I was told that I'm paying for the "fastest" speed. When in contact with taniega she wasn't able to verify me because I said my name is Joshua.. she said I needed to say "josh" I also spelt it for her and that wasn't good enough either. It was totally uncalled for by how condescending the entire interaction went. After I spoke with a Crenshawn her supervisor. He said that he wasn't able to help but could get me to the correct department and when he was transferring me he would be on the phone and wasn't. Prior to the conversation ending he said that he was going to have my bill adjusted when I asked for a breakdown of what there was no change. So I was transferred after having a horrible conversation with taniega to a technician jay, he asked me to turn my internet box off and then back on. I did so per his request and asked if that made any changes, it didn't and essentially I wasted an hour of my time with a horrible transaction. I'm going forward with sending this to the better business bureau, Yelp and will be shopping for new internet services with better quality. Going to this location somewhat scared me do to the awesome reviews that everyone has given this location. Convenience of the location was the main reason I rolled the dice on them. I waited about 10-15 minutes to be helped after I put my name down which wasn't a big deal to me since they had a nice tv in there, and I was looking at some phones anyways. The sales rep named ISA I believe was just awesome. He took the time to help me out in anyway possible, and took the time to explain everything I was getting myself into. Really no hiccups at all, everything went really smooth, and I left with my sweet S9+ phone (Although they were out of Black. Booo). I will keep my review of 5 stars for right now, I dont think I will have any surprises on my bill, but I will wait and see. If you go to this location, try and ask for ISA, I know you will be taken care of good. Lastly, if you are reading this around the same date as the posting, you can get the S9 for half off and the S9+ for almost $300 off the retail price. I also got free HBO since I have U VERSE already, and $15 off my cable bill each month. Overall a great experience. read more

My boyfriend and I were interested in getting some new phones and since we both have IPhones and were looking at android phones we had lots of questions. Luckily we were able to talk with Ron who is awesome. He was able to answer all of our questions and we never felt rushed or like he was annoyed with all of the questions both of us had. Walked in to upgrade my iPhone to a 6 and was told I had to wait APPROX 40 minutes . I stuck around for about 15 mins & saw that the 8 customers that were already waiting were ALL still waiting & I decided that there were too many other places that would probably appreciate my business & not have a longtime customer wait around to decide that ATT Brea on imperial highway was not very interested in my business. I was having an issue with my voicemail and even after an hour with customer care it wasn't resolved. It was a sunday so i let it be and made and appointment the next day. I was quite early but i checked in with Ray and he took me in right away. And... he fixed my problem in a matter of minutes! I don't thing i was even there a full 10 minutes! Wow! Thanks Ray! I personally despise ATT's call center customer service, however I absolutely enjoyed the customer oriented experience at this store. Ferdinand and his team were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and tended to my every need. I went in for an upgrade to a new Samsung Note 9 and they were walking me through every step of the way. Anytime I go into a store, I have expectations to go in, get everything completed quickly and get on with my life - which is exactly what happened. Great job everyone! Beware of HORRIBLE customer service! A Brea store associate AND 2 customer service phone reps told me my phone was eligible for an upgrade/trade-in promotion. The store associate told me repeatedly that my phone was eligible after looking it up in their system. He proceeded to set me up with a new phone, explained all of the charges but "not to worry" because I would see a monthly credit on my bill for the trade in. AFTER the hour it took to finish the setup, he began processing the trade-in. He then tells me my old phone is not eligible and I do not qualify for the promotion. He consulted another store associate because he knew he messed up. They would not credit me for my old phone because it is ineligible. On top of that, they were completely unapologetic and said there's nothing they can do. ATT either has poorly trained associates or they blatantly lie to their customers. They obviously don't care about people or doing the right thing, they just want to make their money. read more

Horrible customer service! I got there and no one even addressed me. So I waited around 10 minutes and finally one guy said I can put your name on the list. Prior to coming here, I called the 800 number and asked for a new SIM card because my phone said no SIM card. And the rep said to go to a retail store and it would be free of charge. So the person that helped me at the store said, we might have to do a hard reset and you might lose all your info if you didn't save it. All I wanted was a new SIM card! He was also pushing the insurance which I didn't want. So he puts the new SIM card and lo and behold it worked. He acted all surprised saying wow it actually worked. I think he was hoping it wouldn't work so that I would have to buy a new phone. This place totally sucks and they will try and sell you their product. Please go somewhere else. I'm even thinking of changing to another cell phone provider since AT and T is not even worth the money. read more

Too bad there's not a ZERO Stars... that's what I would have given the BREA AT&T Store!! I go in there for help restoring a password on my wife's iPad that had the AT&T 3gb for $30 plan. Thanks to COSTCO... I had to change the method of auto payment! Before I know it... the rep is trying to COMBINE all my accounts (IPhones and IPads) and placing them ALL on an automatic pay plan!!! the only thing I want on a credit card is our IPad plans... NOT our phones. Again, he keeps pushing the plan! Again I told him NO! Then he tells me the 3gb for $30 is no longer available and wants to COMBINE my 3GB plan with my wife's 3GB, and giving us 6GB for $60. No big deal right? BUT, that's not what I asked for or wanted!! I just walked out with absolutely NO HELP from the REP at ATT Brea!! I finally came home and worked out the password issue on my wife's IPad... and guess what.. the 3GB for $30 is STILL AN OPTION!!! WHY do these people have to LIE and try to work you from where you are, to where they want you to go???? Is it the COMMISSION??? I have no clue, but I DON'T APPRECIATE IT!! WATCH YOUR ACCOUNTS and don't let them arbitrarily change your plan!! I will NEVER trust a REP from the Brea store!! read more

I've had a phone that has been in need of replacement but capable of scraping by, replacement planned when funds permitted. With that said, I've been in this store 4 times so far with the intent to buy and not once have I had anyone even offer to help me as I watched multiple associates "helping" one customer, had one waiting for a customer who was on a call the entire time I was in there, totalling about 15 minutes, people goofing off in the back room, and one associate leaning against a display talking on his bluetooth watching while customers wandered waiting for help, or looking straight at me as I stood in a location near him, looking at him in a way that can only be interpreted as "I'm waiting to be helped" while tapping my foot. I did everything short of going to the bank and coming back waving hundred dollar bills to get attention from an employee. Do yourself a favor and drive to the store on 17th st in Costa Mesa. I know it's a longer drive, but each time I've gone there, it has been worth the drive and I've left pleased each time, with good service. Even bad service at the Costa Mesa store is better than this store. Avoid it like the plague! read more

This AT&T store does not answer the phone. I tried calling for 30 minutes straight, a couple of different times of the day, and they refused to pick up during prime business hours. They can't be that busy that someone couldn't pick up the phone even once. I just needed a basic question answered regarding a phone I purchased at the store. The salesperson tried to get onto the website via her iPad, The connection was so slow she struggled getting connected. Once connected did not know what to look for. I highly recommend if you are stuck w/ AT&T you use another store until they get rid of the current manager Sean. I'm tired of being put on a list while Sean occupies his female employees, flirting & chatting like customers are not waiting. I am finally complaining because I recently went in with a problem. I have a malfunctioning iPhone 6 that they won't let me return because I'm past my 14 day return policy. I'm asking for an exception to be made because of the length of time it took for the phone to be delivered plus, I was working w/ the Apple Store to fix phone. Come to find out its a bad phone that caused me to lose partial data & I'm told because of the way the system works, it could happen again. That's when I decided to return phone & buy a different kind. Sean refused to hear what I had to say. He got in my face as if trying to intimidate me with his size. He kept interrupting me when I tried talking. I got so frustrated I told him to shut up & listen. He then threw me out of the store. I've had great help by Ray, Victoria, & other employees in that store but, this manager is way over the top with his "tough guy" attitude. Please avoid this store until Sean is removed. read more

I end up paying all the activation fees and all that stuff where my only original plan was just to upgrade my sons line. I was expecting a horrible experience after reading the other reviews. I purchased accessories for a new phone and had to go into the store rather than buying online. The sales associate was nice but kept saying "I'm not sure we have that in stock" as I asked about specific items. I had already checked their availability online so I was fairly confident they were in stock. I asked if they would honor an online promotion and the manager agreed to price match if I would email the online quote to the associate. Seemed like a bit of a hassle. Why not just match the discount when ringing up the order? I ended up buying a different phone case after seeing the items in person. The case was marked 50% off but wasn't charged the correct amount. I immediately went back in the store and the error was corrected. I ended up getting a better price for a case and screen protector as compared to other stores which is a plus. As I mentioned, the associate was very nice but not exceptionally helpful. I'm not sure if this is due to a lack of training or just youth? Overall, not a bad experience but I probably wouldn't go in if I actually needed help with my phone or a billing issue. read more

I feel I have been ripped off on charges & over-charges.and have been pulling out my hair for the last 45 days.I returned an iPad that I was overcharged $500....then I kept getting billed for it AFTER I TURNED IT IN. So I ordered my iPhone and shipped it to this branch. I received an email letting me know that it arrived. (Some back story is that I ordered this phone and I had to wait 2 months for it to arrive). I headed to the store and put my name in que. I waited for awhile and the manager (Bruce) approached me. He asked if I need any help. I told him that I received my email confirmation that my phone has arrived. Bruce told me that he will check the back to see if it arrived. He returned later and told me it didn't. He sent someone to check the mailbox. It had not arrived yet. I was told to come back tomorrow. I asked Bruce if he could look up my phones tracking. He told me that one of his employees will. I asked him to handle the situation because I would not like to repeat my story to the next team member. Bruce said he would wait with me and the other employee. I was pleased with that response however my name disappeared from the que. When I turned around, Bruce also disappeared. I waited and had to approach a employee to find out what was going on. My name was removed from the que. The new employee helped me. When I asked about Bruce's manager, Bruce finally appeared again. I told him what happened with my name being removed and was upset when he left. He said "what do you want me to do". That level of service is unacceptable. From a manager. I told Bruce to simply call me when my phone arrived. Then I left. To my surprise, he did call me later that day. I came back and asked them to transfer my photos and contacts. I was told that their internet can not transfer the information. I was told to go across the parking to Panera to use their wifi. I downloaded the app and went over there. I had troubles and returned to the AT&T store. This happened a couple of times and the employees and Bruce were rolling their eyes and making faces as I entered the store. This made me feel horrible. I eventually went home and found out that the store didn't even connect my voice mail. The customer support over the phone took care of that. . . I have in general received great customer service from AT&T however this store made me consider leaving. I highly recommend not coming here or dealing with manager Bruce. read more

Went in for a new phone. Service was fine. Larry convinced me to switch from Uverse to Directv. Said I would have better service for $50 per month less. Requested install on Nov 30th for 6 TV's. Got email from them that said Nov 28th. Hmmm... Asked Larry to change to 30th which was supposedly done. Wife stayed home all day. No show. They came in Dec 1 and we all ready to install 4 TV's. Sorry ma'am, you have to pay extra for the extra TV's. Well they weren't extras as they were part of the original plan. Call the store. On hold forever. Left message. Larry finally called me back. Said he did everything right. 6 TV's on the 30th. Sent installer away and cancelled the directv service. Ridiculous experience. Now these fools have s practical monopoly on tv service and we're back with our lousy Uverse service. Time to bail on this company for phones too!!! Ordered an upgrade iPhone 6 as a Christmas gift for my 82 year old mother online, but requested store pick up. When I checked in at the AT&T store, I specifically asked if it would be activated and deactivate her current phone, because I wouldn't be giving it to her for another four days. The young man said no. After that the actual rep who finally called me, went to the back at least 6 times while I waited about 35 minutes for one reason or another. I was patient, but was slowly becoming annoyed. So when all was said and done, guess what? The phone was activated, and my mom's current phone was deactivated! Seriously?! She does not live close, so I could not take it to her, so I had to call her and explain why her phone wasn't going to work. Surprise ruined, and now she cannot make calls for four days. The rep was not helpful and said, "she can take her old phone to the AT&T Store and get another SIM card". She is 82! Give me a break. Not very apologetic, and I am NOT happy. read more
