I bought a new iphone and wanted to activate to At&t prepaid line. I called At&t they said just go to this store to buy a prepaid sim kit and then call us back and we'll activate it to a new line. I went to this store and the manager refused to sell me a sim kit insisting they themselves at the store need to do the activation (obviously for commission $$$ purposes). They're saying we'll sell you the sim right now but you have to activate the plan right now otherwise won't sell it. No thanks, I just wanted the sim to go home and call at&t and activate on my own time. This store rep already sounding fishy. Just to be sure he was wrong, while I was there I called another local At&t store and they said ya you can just come in buy, and walk out, no activation, nothing needed. I then called At&t customer service while at the store and told them I'm at the store right now and they're refusing to sell me a sim card kit so I can later take and activate at home. And guess what, the rep said they should sell you a sim, the store rep is wrong. Anyways, I went back and forth arguing with the manager and eventually just left thinking this guy think he's running some high tech Area 51 operation being all strict with his made up AT&T law. It's a $10 sim kit you douchebag. I just ended up going to Bestbuy and just buying the sim kit right off the shelf and walking out. Something this store refused to do cause they insisted they have to activate that sim right away on my phone and sell me a plan. So I guess bestbuy, Walmart, and a bunch of other stores (even At&t's website) that you can go, buy a sim and leave without activating, are all breaking At&t policy huh. I just bought the prepaid sim kit from bestbuy for $10, I went home, called At&t and the rep activated my line with that sim and that's all I wanted to do not waste an hour with this location dealing with their BS for a $10 item. I told the at&t rep over the phone about my experience at this store and this new rep also said they should have sold you a sim, they're wrong, this is unheard of. So before going here, keep in mind their commission and their monthly activation numbers comes before your care and your needs. Let them operate their imaginary made up rules and strict guidelines and hope their aliens don't escape. If you can avoid this store for whatever reason, even to buy a sim, then just do it, you can just go to Walmart or Bestbuy to buy a sim card kit or even at ATT's own website. This place is really good. I was in the area and walked in originally looking for a specific iPhone case that unfortunately most of the stores no longer, Andy (the manger) and Brian helped me out as soon as I walked in. While they were looking for the case, Andy checked out my plan and saw I was paying a lot for my original rate, roughly $115 a month for 2GB. He informed me that the current rate was much lower and got me the exact same coverage (2GB, unlimited talk & text) for $75! That's huge! He also asked the company I worked for and the college I graduate from so he could check for extra discounts. Sure enough, found an 8% discount through my company. I'm going to head back soon with a pay stub so I can cash in on that. Even though Brian looked hard, they weren't able to find the phone case as it seems AT&T stores don't carry it anymore. Honestly though, I benefitted way more by stopping in here. I was blown away by how much they went out of their way to help me. Especially since I was at the Sherman Oaks AT&T store before and they never mentioned any of these helpful plans to me. Definitely stop by here. read more

You are walking into a cell phone sales store you have to expect to wait a little longer than usual since every customer has a different issue and can take longer or shorter depending on the issue! Staff is always eager to help. Always solve my "wireless" problems. EZ to pay the bills there. They have an automatic machine that takes checks, cash, cards. Recently, one of their managers, Carlos Santizo, went above and beyond and made a courtesy house call to my apartment to assure that my friend's laptop could be hooked up to my wireless connection so that we could study together. Very decent retail store. I like that they didn't make a fuzz about me returning my 65 DOLLAR CASE for my Samsung Mega 2 phone - I paid big bucks for it and I'm glad I could exchange it for a better one with no questions asked. However, what didn't like is the sales girl who sold me a phone with a number I didn't like, and told me that "no problem, you can later call and we can change it for you". I needed to get my pre paid phone set up and could not for the life of me do it! I called over to this store today for help and got a rep named Michael on the phone. This man patiently walked me through EVERY single step until I was all set up and my pre paid card added to the phone! This man spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me! ZERO to AT&T phone service and internet. I do not recommend this company at all. Their customer service is horrible. The verification process is ineffective. They asked me questions of people I did not even know. At the end they would not complete my transfer request. Their service hours end at 7 p.m. Central time when I live in Pacific time.
