This the absolute WORST AT&T I've ever been to they are rude & disrespectful this location needs to be closed down. Abe was very rude & condescending he claimed in the system they had not updated my name to my married one. Then proceeded to talk to me disrespectfully made me go get my marriage certificate. When I returned to the store they cancelled my order real dick move Abe. That was Christmas present for my son luckily I was able to re-order the item & will pick up at a different location. I explained to him that I needed a new phone number for my phone and to put on a shield for the front of my phone. He understood the assignment and got to work. Too much goofing off and hanging out in here. They're more interested in watching the game on the big screen. 7 people were ahead of me. At least 3 workers were on the floor but I saw at least 5 other staff members go in/out of the back room without helping customers. Was here because I couldn't make calls on my Apple Watch 5. The lady did the same troubleshooting that I was doing at home, when she couldn't fix it she blamed the wi-fi and gave me the 800 number to call. She did perk up when I asked her about iphone 11. She went into complete sales mode... lol. I told her nah I'll call the 800 number and order the phone directly from AT&T. The techs on the phone had me up and running in 15 minutes. I couldn't make calls bc the goofy girl in the store never thought to add my watch to my cellular plan... They are completely useless at Crestwood AT&T. read more

Goodby ATT. After 35 years as a customer with both residential and business accounts, I am finally done. We went to the Crestwood store to upgrade our home internet service, having had no luck doing it online. Matter of fact online said they did not provide service to that location. Had it here for 25 years. Dannie(sp), as they had no name tags, couldn't find anything even though we gave her the current bill. Enter Jocyln, who was absolutely no help and took offense when she said she was going in the back to see if there was other service available, and I said good luck, as I had been looking online for three days... At that point she stopped and just said that they did not offer better service at our house than we have now. 50-10. (without even checking) We then left out and went to the exfinity store. set up a 300-10 internet, changing over and getting three (free) new iPhone se's, and will be changing over the business account when we drop back in to transfer the sims and activate the new phones. Also had to have stupid att unlock our old phones. And the whole crew at exfinity was a pleasure to work with! Did I mention we are saving a ton of money? Have heard some not so good stories about infinity, but they have to be better that junky ATT, who used to be a whole lot better..... If you must go to an ATT store, go to the one at '83 and Harlem. Much nicer people, but believe it or not, they do not even use ATT service there! read more

I am so dissatisfied with the AT&T store in Tinley Park on Harlem. I went there to return a charger because it worked once and then never again. So I wanted a refund. But because I paid for it with cash she couldn't give me a refund because there was no cash at the store. Said she had to go to the bank and will call me when she gets it. Well that was 6 hours ago and one phone call to remind them I'm still waiting. I realize they're busy but this is ridiculous. If they don't want to deal with cash then they need to post a sign saying this. I am still waiting with no phone call and they close in an hour and a half. I went to this location with my daughter so she could get a new phone since her last one was so old. The first representative there, an older gentleman, was very nice. When the representative that would assist us became available, he started off nice, but then blatantly lied to my face about a data plan. He told me that if I switched over to an unlimited plan, I would actually end up paying less than I was paying at the time. When I asked him to explain how that was possible, he said that it was true. The plan I was on, he says, was not offered anymore and this would be better for me and my family. But he guaranteed that the new plan would be cheaper and better. Today, I get my phone bill to find out that it has gone up a little more than $100!!!! Honestly, if they are going to hire people like this guy who will tell total and complete lies to customers, I will have to think about changing providers. I've been with AT&T for almost 13 years and to be treated like this is sickening! The only good thing that came of this is when I called to speak with a representative to resolve this issue, she went above and beyond to do what she could to help me. This is reprehensible behavior! I've lodged a complaint against the agent and I hope they evaluate who they're hiring. The only way to keep a customer is to be honest and treat them like they are valuable. I'm off to compare plans with other providers. Save yourself some aggravation - don't go to this location at all!!!! read more

These people are so blinded by their sales commissions expectations that there is no consideration for humanity or simple truth. My iPhone had maxed out on its storage and was stalling and crashing to the point where I couldn't use any app or function on my phone other than making phone calls. However I didn't know this at the time and went to at&t to see if they could help. The woman who greeted us at the door listened to my woes for a few mins, checked my account online and launched into an explanation about how no at&t store will do any kind of repairs and if I took my phone to an Apple Store they wouldn't be able to troubleshoot or repair and would send me straight back to at&t to get a new phone. She was very discouraging of going to the Apple Store at all (which seems opposite of another yelpers experience who was told to go to the Apple Store). She pretended to look at my phone for a few brief seconds and tried to convince me to purchase extra iCloud storage and had her finger hovering over the purchase button until I had to stop her!!! Looking back she was trying to get me to back up my phone so I'd be ready to purchase a new phone. She summed it up to say that, since I dont pay the $10 a month for the warranty, my only option was to sign up for a new iphone 7 that day and only pay $80 in taxes or go to apple only to have them send me back to at&t. She failed to mention that the way she was pitching the sale, a new phone would cost me $650 out of pocket. Well all that seemed weird to me so I went to the Apple Store and found out how wrong she was. Apple totally fixed my phone and identified immediately what the issue was and presented me with the simple solution of resetting my phone and voila! My phone is good as new again and now I'm more conscious about my storage. The apple tech even apologized on behalf of at&t for the wrong info and assured me that apple absolutely is here for customers to help troubleshoot any apple products and do a variety of repair services. I'm glad I didn't listen to the at&t here and it just reinforced my belief that at&t is typically slimy and are ordered to eke out a sale at whatever cost, including lying to customers. I've always wanted to switch to credo and this experience might be the thing to push me to make the switch. read more

This place is terrible. The manager, Marlon, lied through his teeth to us to get us out of the store. We had to call AT&T to verify we could make the changes to our account that were needed. If you have to go here to take care of an issue with your account, call AT&T customer service and go into the store with someone on the line who knows what to do. But really, just don't go here. Worst store ever! The nicest person in the store was the off duty chicago police security guard. The manager was worthless, walked around with an I pad and watched college football instead of helping people. I watched the whole football game before realizing no one has called anyone. Went back before Christmas Dec 2012 and had a better experience... maybe because the place was empty. A beautiful young lady took care of me - name was Beyonce but not spelled that way. Purchase of iphone4 for my wife went smooth other than took longer than seemed necessary. When we went back to authorize the phone it took painfully forever and data transfer was a nightmare w/ missing and wrong numbers. He said he had to do it 'manually'... it's 2013 dude? Note of caution, by the time I left the place the first time it got busy and people seemed to be walking around confused and dazed by the wait. Then I found out Best Buy had the same phone for $50 bucks less and when we went there for another iphone, we were treated great and deal was done quickly and easily. read more

I went into AT&T today to help my mother get a new phone and change her plan. When we walked into the store we were immediately greeted by a rep who was very personable and put us on the walk-in list and let us know they would be with us shortly. As we waited, the greeter checked in with us again to apologize and assured us we would be taken care of soon. We were next in line and the rep that assisted us name was Andrew. He was very good at his job and was very detailed in all of his explanations of the phone plan and the service upgrades. He made it a point to make sure we understood what all of our options were and in the process saved my mother some money. He was engaged the entire time and we never felt like he was trying to just up-sale us for an extra commission. I do not always receive great service at phone stores so I feel like I needed to make it known how great Andrew was with the help. read more

If I can give this place zero stars I would, went in for new phones, was told my bill was going to be a lower than my current at the time but turns out I was charge an outrageous amount of fees and my bill is even higher. It seems like the workers just care about making their money from sales. Lied and said they took film off phone while in the store and there was no damage. Film was still on when we got home and took off and there are chips. How's that possible?? Come to think of it, phone was brought out from stock room with seals already broken on box.. hmmm... Called and asked for managers name and phone number and was told he doesnt have a phone number. Then told his number was the store number. Then when I asked for his name again guy laughs and says he's not there and he's already told it to me three times (a lie) and then hung up on me. Called AT&T and they returned it right away since they have a 14 day policy. Ordering a new one to ship to house so we dont have to deal with incompetent people. No one should ever purchase any services from AT&T. They bait and switch you which is illegal and they know it but no one is willing to follow through and waste all the time and money it would take to make any legal action against them. Their customer service is probably the best because they know they need to calm customers down after experiencing the robbery that they commit. I was promised wireless for $85 a month with unlimited text and talking mobile to mobile. None of which was included with my phone. I also was promised $85 a month for you verse and was told I received the discounts due to bundling wireless and universe together. I soon found out that the wireless does not offer discounts for bundling. I did not even want to give AT&T one star but I had to in order to post this review. I guess they're really no different than most other companies. As long as customers turn a blind eye and rather not deal with bullshit like this. This kind of capitalistic conduct will allow corporate America to continue to take advantage of the consumer in any and every which way possible. Called ahead to find out about putting money down on a smartphone to lower the monthly payments, and customer service said that I could. I went to the store and BOTH supervisors said I could not and we're unwilling to honor what I had been told. After I got home I called 611 to make sure I was not hearing things, and sure enough they were supposed to let me do as I had said. How can you run a store when you do not know company policies? AT&T is not offering anything for their longstanding customers. I have a Family Plan with 5 phones and have been with AT&T for 15 years. I recently went in to update our 5 phones. 3 phones are on the NEXT plan and 2 phones are not in contract. When I went into the store to update my phones I was told the $.99 5c phones with a contract would require a $25/line/month charge for any contract phones which also included a $40 upgrade fee. WHAT? They try to tell you you are getting a phone for $.99 yet you will pay over $600 for an outdated phone after 2 years! So they suggest the NEXT plan because there is no upgrade or monthly fee since you're not in contract. So you can pay the taxes upfront (about $60 in Illinois) then (one option) $32.50/month and after 12 months you turn your phone in and you start all over again. Sounds great...except that's $390/Year for a phone you don't get to keep. Not to mention if you lose the phone or it gets damaged/stolen you still have to pay full price for the phone, not just the 12 months. They will not take the phone back with any damage! Just a year ago AT&T offered $.99 phones with a 2 year contract with no monthly fee. They do not care about their customers! They want those phones back after a year so they can sell them as "refurbished" online after customers already paid $390 plus taxes. These new plans are a WIN WIN for AT&T and a LOSE LOSE for their customers. Better yet, the only way to justify their decision on the new plans was to say "all the wireless companies are going to these plans." Good job AT&T! You are a follower! Be a leader and offer better plans for your customers! read more

Earlier this year, I went in to buy a new phone. The rep working that day told me about a promotion they had with DirectTV & first responders. Curious, I listened the details. I signed up (with a 2 yr contract) under the info that was given to me by their rep. He told me, If I signed up for the promotion I would get $15/month off internet & $15/month off cable & a premium channel for free. When my channel was canceled I called to see why. I was told my account did not qualify for the free channel. I went to the store & spoke with a manager. I was told I had been given false info from that rep & there was nothing they could do about the fact that I was not receiving anything their rep told me & that I am stuck in a 2 yr contract that I can't get out of without paying hundreds of dollars in cancellation fees. read more

I have been to this AT&T store numerous times as I have 11 phone lines with them. Today I walked in because my 70-year-old mother did not like her iPhone that I purchased for her a week ago and she wanted to return it. Francisco was the sales rep that greeted us at the door. When he heard that I wanted to return the phone he made me stand by the entryway of the door asking me first if I have my phone then if I have my power cord then if I have my box then if I have my receipt then if I have my credit card then if it's within the 14 days. Seemingly this was an effort to come up with a reason not to return the iPhone. Once we got past all that and I told him I have everything he just sat there as if not knowing what to do or not wanting to do what it was that he should have done. Francisco then told me that if I don't have my iCloud password he cannot return the phone for me. Now I know that you can reset your iCloud password if you forget it. And I'm certain that he knew as well. However Francisco was too concerned about taking care of the next customer who is going to purchase a phone in order for him to get his commission that he did anything and everything possible to get rid of me quickly and not process my return. Francisco knows absolutely nothingabout customer service and is a typical greedy, Young sales rep that will never find success because he doesn't understand how to take care of customers today and plant the seed today in order to win tomorrow.
