First upon arrival the place is very sketchy looking with nothing on the door but a hung up banner that was half falling down. When I walked in, I thought there was no employee but as I approached the counter I realized that the employee was dead asleep in the chair. This was in the middle of the day. I wasn't sure if I should try waking him up, so I walked back out and back in to trigger the sound of the door alarm. They don't take any form of card payment, only cash app, Zelle, or cash (definitely not suspicious at all). I didn't get a receipt and I had to ask the employee if he needed my information so that he could call me when it was ready. He seemed flustered and said it was his first day. I'm assuming the fact he just woke up didn't help. I called the owner about two hours in to ask for an update and he said it would be ready in 20 minutes. When he got to the store it was in fact not ready and took an additional 20 minutes. When I got the tablet back, the screen was "fixed" but the iPad did not work when trying to touch it. We brought it back in for the employee to say it was a "defective part". We had to wait an additional three hours for it to be corrected. I will say the owner was responsive via phone calls and yelp but that is the only positive I found. The price point is low, but there are competitors in the area that charge similar rates, I would recommend looking into those.

And, of course, it occurred on a Sunday afternoon. Knowing that the company handling my warranty would not be available for at least a few days, I searched out to companies that were available 24/7. Orlando Appliance Repair was one of those companies. Upon calling, the customer service rep put me in touch with their field-rep, Igor. I described the problem and he planned to show withing two hours or less ... on a Sunday afternoon! My refrigerator came back online and I contacted Igor to make him aware and cancel my appointment. He understood and just simply cancelled my appointment without fuss or cost. If a company can be this prompt and respective to new clients calling on a Sunday afternoon that they would end up not be getting business from that day, I can only believe that their actual work would be first-rate and I would not hesitate to connect with Orlando Appliance Repair for any related needs in the future.

My fridge went in and out after a wind storm loosened a wire on the PG&E pole outside. The freezer…read moreonly worked on the bottom third, and the refrigerator worked partially - freezing stuff at the bottom third, cooling the middle, and almost room temp at the upper third. I called (4) appliance repair places around January 20th, 2021. The Kenmore fridge I have was manufactured in 2004, and had a tag on the inside that had the serial and model numbers along with a Sears repair call phone #. I also called them after I yelped several repair places first. Restart came after the first business I called had dragged out the timeline for repair by over a month! The long and short of this review is that the initial diagnosis consensus was the fan motor and evaporator needed replacing. Restart sent Alex over and he diagnosed the issue right away, wrote it up. Unfortunately, the parts were delayed in being delivered because of - the now approved excuse - COVID. After almost one month, Alex came back and replaced the parts, but the fridge still wasn't working. An electrician from Restart and Alex found the issue of a fried Control Board. They ordered the new part, and Lena, who is the manager, felt that this problem was an inconvenience long enough, made sure the part came in pronto. Within two weeks my fridge is finally running. The whole horrendous process started Jan. 18, and was finally resolved by ReStart on March 20, 2021. 3 months without a refrigerator is one thing, and thank goodness ReStart was able to get it fixed. Moral of the lesson: Don't have anything break down at the beginning of the year - seems no repair place and parts are ready for work!
