I came to purchase a cell phone charger cord for my wife's cell phone. As we went inside the store, there were three different groups of people who were already receiving some service from the store employees. Because of this situation, we had to wait for about 20 min until we finally received any attention. Even though the wait was a bit longer than we have anticipated, Tory, Daniel, and Edgar were able to provide us with a best available deal. As such, we were able to received three different products (charger cord, car charger, etc.) instead of just one charger cord for the price similar to as if we were just buying a single cord. They also made us smilie thru out the transaction with all of their funny jokes and we surely had some enjoyable shopping time! It is a bit rare to receive this type of service especially at the cell phone store, but I really want to say thank you very much to Tory, Daniel, and Edgar for their outstanding customer service!!! read more

I went to this store to pay an outstanding bill. The staff REFUSED to accept payment via CHECK or CASH and declined my AMEX and VISA credit cards without even running them through their reader to verify if good or not!! Funny thing is, I called before going there and was told it would NOT be a problem. I showed the staff the message that was sent which explained it all, but - those working there would still NOT accept valid payment!!!! And, they have not accepted the payment sent to them last month either! I came in to order the iPhone 17 Pro, NOT the Pro Max. I made that very clear, and the employee even confirmed it with me twice before placing the order. Somehow, I still ended up being charged for the more expensive Pro Max that I never wanted. On top of that, the employee added "Next Up Anytime" to my plan without properly explaining it or asking for my approval first. What made the whole experience even more concerning was hearing the manager on a Zoom call in the background telling the team they needed to increase sales. It honestly felt like pushing higher commissions became more important than being honest with customers. Confirming someone's order twice and still giving them the wrong, more expensive product while adding extra charges to the account is unacceptable. I've been shopping around for a new phone plan, so I stopped by this AT&T store to ask about plan prices and options . The employee was finishing up with another customer, and I waited patiently until she was available . When I told her I wanted information on phone plans, the first thing she said was, "Can I see your driver's license?". I handed it over assuming she just needed to quickly look at it, maybe to confirm my zip code or area . Instead, she walked over to her computer and swiped my ID into the system without explaining what she was doing or asking for permission to scan it. That was a huge red flag for me, because there's a big difference between briefly looking at someone's ID and actually swiping it into a computer. Before you scan anyone's identification, you should clearly explain what you're doing and why, and give them a chance to say yes or no. When I said I was not okay with my ID being swiped without any explanation, she didn't offer any reason, apology, or clarification, and just stood there. At that point, I no longer trusted the situation and walked out . Based on this experience, I do not recommend this AT&T location. If you're going to handle people's personal identification, explain the process upfront instead of silently collecting their information . read more

Manager Manny M. screwed me out of $480. I purchased a new IPhone 16 pro max and he told me that old iPhone 11 was eligible for $830 for a trade in. He stated that I had a month to turn in and decide. I return less than a month later only for him to tell me now that I could only get $350 back and stated he told me to turn it in as earlier as possible. He never stated that and i am 100% positive. He told me to call 611 to see if they can resolve the issue. I ended up talking to customer service and they stated that he was not honest and that the price for my old iPhone was $350 at the time I purchased my new phone but and was never $830 like he originally stated. Went to get a new iphone and digital service turned on. Be aware! They add phone cases and a screen protector without permission AND charge you. To add salt in the wound, the screen protector showed an air bubble almost right away. When we went back in to ask about this, we were blamed for letting dust onto the phone. Jason helped us and I'm glad we were able to patronize a smaller neighborhood store when we are able to. Jason was the best, he is very knowledgeable and our conversion went smoothly. I rarely leave yelp reviews as I've worked in customer service my entire life and feel as though there are several factors that weigh in on the over "experience" someone has and it shouldn't be taken lightly (sometimes places are understaffed, or management doesn't make it easy for the employees). With that being said, I needed to leave this review in hopes the manager (Luciano) reads this or someone above him does. I came into this location on Monday 11/18/2024 to upgrade my iPhone 13 Pro as AT&T let everyone on my plan know we were due for one. I sat with Luciano who was pleasant (at first) but he reminded me SO much of the power tripping mangers I have worked with that have worked at a location for 10 + years and feel as though they are the CEO of the entire company. He would be coaching his employees from across the room (which is completely unprofessional IMO) as I was sitting with im going through the process of upgrading. My sibilings had been through the process the week before and each of them received equal trade in values for their phone, receiving 1,000.00 in trade in value. My phone had been in a case with all the proper safety guards, but I knew the front screen had some light scratches which I thought may not get the full trade in value, but hey, that's on me and I was sure I wasn't going to get docked too much on the value. I sat with Luciano and he informed me that because of the scratches on the front, my trade in value would be $700.00. Okay, great...lets do it. I upgraded to the iPhone 16 pro and luckily they had one in stock. He also informed me of their promotion of receiving an apple watch for $1.00 and it would be $10.99 a month on the bill. Great, I will do it. I receive the new phone that day, but had to get back to work and he informed me that I can keep my old phone and have 14 days to return it. I come back on Friday 11/22/2024 to return my old phone ( I would have retuned it the next day but was home sick for the next three days) and we erase the phone and he does what he needs to do on his end to turn it in. Another coaching from across the room to the 4 other employees in there, and he even tries to hold a "team meeting" while I'm sitting with him...who does that??? It was so weird.... ANYWAYS, he prints off the final paper work and goes on his little rant telling me everything is good and then Quickly breezes over the fact that the trade in value is now $350. I stopped him and asked "why? This was not what we talked about on Monday." He then starts to talk to me like I had no idea how the process worked. He explains because I was turning it on 3 days later, the promotion has changed and now its only worth $350.00. To say I was confused and felt SO uncomfortable would be an understatement. I take the necessary steps to ensure I do not have to be put in these situations and shame on me for not getting the conversation in writing on Monday because I KNEWWWW from the jump this gentleman was shady. He tries to explain the scratches on the front indicate the phone is "cracked". Since when do minor scratches meet the equivalence of a "crack" of the phone. This is long enough but him and I go back and forth and feeling defeated I turned the old phone in and headed back to work. I called customer support immediately after and they informed me that I can call in about 15 days when their trade in department reviews the phone and see what they say. The customer rep was amazing and informative and I will be doing that. I tried to leave a formal complaint about Luciano to them but they said this may be a better option for me. I am beyond tired of these power tripping unprofessional retail managers that for whatever reason want to be sneaky and straight up LIE to customers and make them feel uncomfortable. I was cool from the start so I don't know what possessed him to try me, but I am not the one. Luciano, I hope you or your district manager reads this. I was too late to read the yelp reviews all complaining about YOU (the manager who told me has been there for 3 years) but I guess I will add one more review about you to the list. I recently upgraded two cell phones, changed my internet provider and modified the payment method (auto pay) with a promotional incentive to obtain a free Samsung tablet with a data line attached to it. I qualified and purchased the promotional item and service. I was told the phones and promotional item were not available at time of purchase, therefore, requested the items be shipped to the store. When I arrived at the store on the initial delivery date the phones had arrives, but the tablet had not. I was informed it would be another two to three weeks. This past weekend (2/25) I arrived at the AT&T store to clarify confusing items on my bill (per store sales rep - a line for an apple watch I didn't purchase, a new line for the promotional tablet, insurance billed twice, and misc fee), aa well as to pick up my tablet. When I asked about my tablet, the sales rep told me the regional manager came by a few days prior, and said since we didn't pick it up before the promotion ended, they had sent it back. This was both confusing and upsetting considering I already paying for the line activation and other fees attached to the tablet, and enrolled in programs I normally would not in order to qualify for this tablet. The promotional items were a catalyst for upgrading two phones, a change in internet service and payment method. Now I'm paying for something I didn't purchase, and device and line I did, but will not receive. I don't want my money back. Like AT&T, I want the agreement honored. Unlike AT&T, I cannot renege on our agreement without paying the total cost of the contract (two phones and two lines for two yrs). It appears to be a classic bait and switch. I hope the promotional incentive I purchased will be honored but judging by the rest of the comments here hoping for anything resembling honoring agreements, and providing conscientious customer service, is out of the question. read more

They had the audacity to make me come to the store multiple times to keep my 10 plus year old number added to my phone. All for it just to go to hell, I ended up with a new number they said they'd remove but ended up just making me pay for 2 lines when all I wanted was for my old number to be on my new phone. They really have the worst costumer service and the employees always tend to be by themselves or in need of some help. Had a lovely experience here. While my wait wasn't long, I had to yell over the store music and the blaring phone speaker that belonged to a dark-haired male. In fact, the noise was so loud that he didn't take time to hear my concern in its entirety. Not only did he cut me off but he refused to turn down his phone. When I told him that he would hear better if he turned down the volume, he said that it was necessary for him to listen. Then he mumbled something and walked off. As I'm prepared to wait for the young lady who was with a customer, the guy returns with phone in hand and says my phone works. Long story short, I had a SIM card issue and needed to know if I could replace it there. When he calls my number and hears a female voice, he says that I need to add money to my account. I explain that I don't have a billing problem because I'm on that government program. Then he pretty much sends me on my way because he refused to listen. The female voice (that prevented me from making outbound calls) was a recording about an activation issue related to a replacement phone I bought the day before. Had there not been so much noise OR he stopped cutting me off and turned down the zoom conference, I probably wouldn't have had to make a second trip to another location. If his bosses are reading this, here's a couple of fun facts. I used to do paid inspections a.k.a mystery shopping of AT&T stores in the area. While sales was the main focus, customer service was a close second. There were at least three major violations in the 10 minutes I spent here. While my issue turned out to be a prepaid phone problem that stemmed from the original seller (Target), there's ways to handle this without offending a person. It's seldom that I say this publicly but I hope this individual crosses someone so bad that he can't get a job flipping burgers. read more

Came in this location to turn in my old iPhone as part of the trade-in promotion for the iPhone 15. The process was simple but then I asked her while I was in there if she could pair my watch, which I've had for 2 years, to my new phone. The process took a little longer than I expected and I had to get on the phone with a representative which was odd to me because all I was doing was pairing my watch so that I can receive notifications on there as I always did. A month later I received a bill with "WATCH LINE" charged with $93 which included Apple Care that I also didnt consent to, in addition to the previous watch line that I already paid $15 for each month. I called to cancel it and they told me I needed to go to the store to get some kind of proof from a manager that I did it so the manager was kind enough to make a note for me. She is the reason I gave 2 stars and not 1. I later called customer service and they credited my money back but just beware when asking to pair your watch with your new phone and make sure they know its an existing watch. Came into the store to purchase an iPhone for a colleague of mine and the store was empty. Not knowing that it was also the day of the new iPhone release. I wanted to purchase the full price of the phone but the sales rep plus the other workers were too busy talking about other things and then said they don't want to sell it full price (or can't because they don't get credit for selling full prince phones). So to shut them up quickly just went ahead and did the upgrade, and went back to work to pay for the remaining balance online. My colleague got the newer phone and asked for me to return the one I got for them which shouldn't be a problem right? Today is 6 days later, and they couldn't find a way to return it to their system. Now I worked in cell phones for many years in the past, but telling me I can't return a phone that's not even a week since purchasing for no reason other than I know they don't want a chargeback to their location is just plain dumb. So I called customer service and went to another store with no problem. I didn't notice the bad recent reviews or I would have gone elsewhere. One specific overweight man kept talking about his experience in vegas and midgets while I was purchasing the phone was totally unprofessional and acted like I care what he does with his free time. I went in to switch phone plans from a different carrier and the reps were not knowledgable about the plans at all. They signed me up for a multi-phone plan even though I only have one phone. That meant I would have been charged an extra $20 a month for being put on the wrong plan due to this rep's negligence. When I called this out, the rep Javier gave me attitude and insisted all their phone plans come with an additional $20/mo "device access charge". This was inaccurate. The device access charge for single plans is INCLUDED in the monthly cost - which is clear from the attached photo of their single plans online. I called customer service and they confirmed Javier put me on the wrong plan. They also gave me attitude for wanting a printed copy of my contract since their system didn't email one to me. He and his manager Jeremy were also talking about me within earshot implying I was being unreasonable for wanting a copy of the contract before leaving the store. A receipt is the bare minimum you can provide a customer for a transaction. Jeremy said he should just leave because he was there past his shift and didn't offer to take over for him. I came into the store at 2:30 and didn't leave until around 7. If Javier had been knowledgable about the plans, I wouldn't have needed to stay so long and he could have left earlier. Do not shop or even pay your bills at this store. Customer service is absolutely the worst. I shopped the approximately 1year ago and the service was good. Now it is the worst with different sales people and different managers. The sales person TONY needs to find another job. He is rude and continue to text on his personal phone while talking to you. And because he really isn't listening to you, he provides the wrong information. I left and went to store on Artesia and the service there was terrific. I tried calling back to the other store approximately 6 time to make a complaint to the manager, needless to say the manager Jeremy wasn't much better. My galaxy randomly stopped working and Leslie came to the rescue. She was able to get my old iPhone back working (even though the top button was not working). She then went above and beyond by helping me figure out why the galaxy stopped working -- with Pablo's help, they were able to test the battery and confirm what was wrong.
