I needed to activate 2 phones that were shipped in as well. I had been without a phone for 5 days. Upon being helped we were told if we didn't have an account number from T-Mobile they couldn't help us. She later asked for Social Security number which I told her my previous company said I didn't need to provide one or have good credit for this promotion. She replied with "oh Ok" . She asked for ID and after a few minutes, returned back the ID and said that the last name did not match the account so we had to go home call customer service to update our last name and then go back into the store. When we call customer service they said the representative from store had to call customer service herself to verify that the person in front of her was the one making the account changes. Customer service advised we go to a t mobile store with expertise experience which I did. When I went in and explained everything she said they always get complaints from this store, she also said the lady from this century location could've asked for a second identification method which proved the first name matched and the last name was different (proving it was the same person). All of this was just so messy and it caused frustration over the last name. I was sent home with instructions to call customer service only for customer service to tell me this could've easily been done IN STORE. Caused me a third drive to a different location that had competent workers. PS. The account number she was asking for in the beginning?? she could've easily said it was the temporary phone numbers of the lines I was activating. -- although I didn't get a name, I can describe her as short Latina with round glasses. There was another way taller lady with glasses, it wasn't the taller gal unfortunately I didn't get a name.

The new equipment had been sent to my neighbor's house. The salesman from the market said he accidentally sent it to that address but could fix it as soon as I turned in my old equipment to an ups store. It was a big confusion . I had been stressed trying to get it resolved. Zarria was patient, professional, and really took the time to explain everything clearly. Most importantly, she actually fixed the problem quickly and made the whole process so easy. You can tell she genuinely cares about helping customers, and that made a huge difference. If you are a current spectrum internet customer go in the store not the salesperson at a market to get promotions. Thank you for turning a frustrating situation into a positive experience. I think not), CC will choke your speed until you cannot even view a webpage. There is no reprieve, no upgrade. Maybe you could open a second account? But, your download speed will be restored at the next billing cycle (in 30 days). This was my error. I was testing my Hot Spot by viewing a class, and exceeded my 'unlimited' data usage (who knew). I could not upgrade to more data. I had to wait a month for my bandwidth to be restored.

Run as fast as you can the other way. We switched to save about 1/3 of what we were paying AT&T…read more You get what you pay for, it was the most horrible utility experience I have ever had. From the beginning when it took almost two hours to switch over by phone, to continual service and billing issues, to every.single.CSR telling me something different. The original CSR who switched us over (read: salesperson, since they must work on commission) flat out lied to me. I asked three times if we would be getting 50GB FOR EACH LINE. She told me yes all three times, on speaker, so my husband heard it, I didn't imagine it. It turns out to be 50GB for both lines, and the only way to get that for each line is for there to be two accounts, that is their top "unlimited" data plan. And oh! If you run out of data? They turn off your hotspot. You have to call to get it turned back on and pay for additional data for the rest of the billing period if you need it, there is no "slow" data for hotspot. Yes, the signal is the same as AT&T. But the ongoing issues with data usage and inconsistent customer service were absolutely not worth the savings. We switched to T-Mobile after two months, got new free phones, 50GB hotspot data EACH LINE. and are paying about $15 less a month than we were with AT&T. And an additional PSA: If you switch to CC from AT&T and import your number from AT&T, and you decide to switch from CC to another carrier, you have to get your number ported from AT&T, not CC, which can't be done over the phone. You have to go in to the new carrier's brick and mortar to get them to do that. PLUS if you don't switch out on the exact day of your billing cycle's end, you will get charged for the entire coming month, even if it is only one day. They do not pro-rate charges, at all. We tried to leave several days before the cycle ended and couldn't due to the above porting issue. Had to find a time when both of us could go to the closest T-Mobile store (a half hour away). That was 3 days after our CC cycle ended, for which we are paying @$80. For three days of cell service. Don't use Consumer Cellular.

So, we walked into this store and Soomar and his coworker (I didn't get her name) greeted us. He was knowledgeable and pleasant and helped us all the way throughout. After about 2 hours we opted for a new phone with same number and added a tablet. But I went to use my credit card, and it was locked! ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I had to go home and check my laptop to unlock it. FML Ok round 2....we set everything up and made arrangements for the questions and passwords and all the things to get the new phone working. But Soomar had to get on the phone because it was just "pending" but instead of getting the account completely set up the lady actually deleted it. So, we had to start all over and the verifications and blah blah blah and more blah. Soomar helped us with all of it and he was so apologetic for what happened. It wasn't even his fault, but he went out of his way to make sure we were ok. He went above and beyond to get us all set up and got us ready, we even ended up with an extra add-on, a new tablet. This was all added to a goodies bag. We will definitely be back to see him with all our phone needs. We left happy and I had a new phone and tablet.... now what are all my passwords and log-ins. She knew exactly what had to be done, whom to contact, and how the situation would be resolved. Needless to say, she put my mind at ease, as well as any preconceived notions of cost or expense. And so with a reasonable investment of time, I left there in good hands and with full confidence that my cell would be back up and running. Rosie was without a doubt the CSA, or Customer Service All Star of this experience.

I got my quote and was told my new screen would arrive Tuesday and they would be able to replace it. I went in to give them the deposit, only for them to call me later that day and say the quote they gave me was wrong. The new quote was 20% more and they would need an additional deposit. I decided to let this go since there were so many great reviews and mistakes happen. Tuesday comes and they let me know the new screen hadn't arrived and that it should be in Thursday. Fine, I already paid the deposit and it was only two days more. The screen arrives and I drop my phone off for the replacement. I was told I could come back in 2 hrs, which I did, but they needed an additional 30 mins. I waited in my car for 30 mins before the guy came out and said the new screen had a defect and he needed more time to work on it. He let me know that the defect may not be something he could fix, but by then, he had already opened my phone and messed it up. My only options were to let him keep working on it or leave with a phone worse off than what I left them with. So I hoped he could fix it, but he was unable to. They offered to reorder the part and to come back Tuesday, but I declined. I was willing to pay the more expensive quote because I appreciate great service, which all these reviews indidcated they had. But that didn't seem to be the case after all the hassle. My phone left Byte Me Wireless worse off than it arrived. I understand the defective screen and the late shipping was out of their control, but those issues combined with the wrong quote and the additional wait time made this a horrible experience.
