I am writing to recommend Angel Martinez at the Verizon Store located at 5500 Grossmont…read more On Tuesday, February 2, 2026, I called Verizon Technical Support for assistance in removing the biometric option on my device. The technician guided me through several steps until we reached the point where I needed to enter my password--a password I had not used since purchasing the device. After three unsuccessful attempts, I was locked out, and the ordeal began. I spent hours on the phone with Verizon that day, speaking with several customer service representatives who twice directed me to the store for help. I followed their instructions, but without success. By the end of the day, I agreed to perform a manufacturer reset, even at the risk of losing data. Unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue. For all of Tuesday and Wednesday, I was without a functioning phone and unable to access my work applications, which require two step authentication. By Wednesday evening, I resorted to using an old device and was ready to give up on my newer, locked phone entirely. On Saturday, I contacted Verizon again. After another unsuccessful attempt by the technician to unlock the device remotely, I was asked--yet again--to return to the store. This was my third visit in four days, and by then I felt embarrassed even walking in. Still determined to get rid of the phone, I signed in and waited. The wait was long and excruciating. Finally, I was assisted by an employee named Angel Martinez. Some people truly live up to their name--Angel certainly did. He patiently troubleshot the locked device. The process was long, but he remained calm, focused, and persistent even smiling, working step by step until he finally restored my device to normal. He brought a smile back to my face--and to my wife's as well. If you visit the Verizon Store at 5500 Grossmont, please say hello to Angel. He is exceptional.

I wish I could give zero. They are rude and the wait is long, even if you made an appointment.read more

I learned that my older modem had been phased out and replaced with a newer white 5G version that also includes an extender. I normally pay around $50 a month with AutoPay, so I was a little surprised to hear the upgraded modem package would increase the bill to about $65 a month. Still, I decided to make the switch in hopes that the upgraded equipment would provide a more stable connection with less lag and fewer dropped signals. The process itself went fairly smoothly and didn't take too long. The representative explained that I needed to return the old modem as soon as possible. Luckily, with about 15 minutes left before closing, we were able to come back and return the old box without any issues and were given a receipt confirming the return, which I definitely appreciated. As far as customer service goes, it was overall okay. The representative helping us was cool, although maybe a little rough around the edges personality-wise. There were a few customers who came in after us that seemed anxious or frustrated about their phone situations, and it just reminded me that customer service interactions can really go either way sometimes depending on both the customer and the staff member. Thankfully, I personally didn't have any major issues and was able to get in and out fairly quickly. I did like the layout of the store. Everything looked modern, organized, and they had plenty of displays featuring upgraded phones, internet products, and accessories. One thing worth noting is that some issues can be handled directly in-store while other situations may require visiting a corporate location that handles more advanced account or technical matters. If you're unsure, I'd definitely recommend calling ahead first so they can direct you to the correct location before making the trip. Overall, my visit was smooth, the exchange process was easy, and now I'm just hoping this upgraded internet setup performs much better than the previous one for the added monthly cost.

Yesterday I received an unsolicited call from Sales Rep Juan Pablo at this "New" Rancho San Diego Cox store and told of a discounted offer available. I explicitly & clearly noted I might stop in to discuss the details of this offer, but was not interested in any change/upgrade/discount be made to my account at this time. * Note tho - I clearly did not authorize any change be made to my acct/service on this call at any time! There was no way the sales rep could have misunderstood because I made this very clear as I was getting concerned about his zeal to make a sale on this call. Well, guess what - They changed my plan that day!!! Today calling back, in an effort to be made whole on this unauthorized change, the store manager here HUNG UP ON ME when I attempted to stop him (I did not yell or cuss, but I did attempt to interrupt and stop him, mid sales pitch) from explaining why this change was a good thing. He hung up on me as I tried to stop his sales explanation. I didn't want to that explanation - But Of Course. Again, the issue was, I never authorized any change to my account. But they made the change and likely got an additional sale added to their tally for this day. Contacted Cox corporate by phone and was politely helped with my issue with an apology included. That's how it should have been all along. So So rude.

Then I decided to search specific Mobile Phone Technical Support Companies on this Yelp page. I found this MobileCom Company website. Their location is very close distance from my home. I also read about their good Yelp Reviews regarding their customers issues. I was able to drive over to the MobileCom Store on Tuesday for April 21, 2026 at 1 PM. This MobileCom Store accepts walk-in customers. This MobileCom Store is located in a compact strip mall. When I walked into the front entrance I talked to Samir. Samir said their MobileCom Store is a family owned business and has been in operation for 7 years. I explained to Samir that my Apple IPhone XR stopped working for one day with the front screen turned all black and this red light kept flashing every 5 minutes. Samir looked at my Apple IPhone XR and he asked me What was I using my cell phone for before the screen went black? I told Samir that I downloaded this Free Majohn App on my cell phone and then I started playing this online Majohn Game for a few hours. My Apple IPhone XR was working fine on Monday, April 20, 2026 until the next morning on April 22, 2026 on Tuesday. Samir said since my Apple IPhone XR is an older model and I have owned this cell phone for almost 8 years now. I need to delete this Game App off my Apple IPhone XR because playing games takes up too much memory and it caused my Apple IPhone XR to lock up my system. Samir started to remove my cell phone screen to see the electronic components in the back of the cell phone. Then Samir wiped the unit parts with a dust free cloth to remove the debris inside . Samir put the 2 parts back together and he plugged in a charging plug with the cable into the wall outlet and pressed the side button to turn the power on to my cell phone. After Samir was able to see the Apple Icon on the front Screen. Samir gave me my Apple IPhone XR in order for me to sign into my account. Samir started to clean off all the Data in the cache history to free up more memory and the storage space for my files. It had taken Samir about 20 minutes to complete this process. Afterwards, Samir told me that since I have owned my cell phone for about 8 years now, my Apple IPhone XR is due for an upgraded Apple IPhone Version soon. That's the reason my Apple IPhone XR is slowing down on me. Then I asked Samir, how much is he going to charge me for his service? Samir said since this issue was a simple matter he will not charge me a fee this first time. I Thanked Samir for helping me in getting my Apple IPhone XR back in great condition. I received excellent customer service from Samir and his expert service. I will definitely continue to come back to this MobileCom Store again in the future.

Also, how are you answering the phone but then telling me you guys are closed so you can't do anything til Monday? How does that work?
