Let me start by stating that I have been with AT&T since 2014, I have been coming to the Decatur location for a couple of years now. I came into the store to pay my phone bill and this time I was interested in upgrading my phone, and didn't mind the 45 minute wait as they seemed under staffed, waited patiently, and when I did receive help, I was helped by a gentleman with braids who seemed uninterested in helping, when I asked questions he answered with an attitude. I asked if I could speak to a manager and was told there wasn't anyone available, I asked if I could be helped by another employee and was told I'd have to wait another 45- mins to an hour. I was told I should visit the Apple Store for any phone needs. I decided to leave, and I decided to leave a review because this store has drastically changed over the last few months. This was the second time I've tried to speak to someone other than employee and there wasn't anyone to help. I Won't be coming to this location anymore. read more

We went in for their upgrade promotion. We ordered two new phones from salesperson Sol, it took about a month for them to come. At the time of order no mention was made about a plan change requirement. When we went back in to trade in our old phones we were told by Nathan that we needed to change our plan to receive trade in discount but because we didn't do it at time of purchase they could no longer make the change and now had to pay full price for the phones. No manager on duty. Nathan told us the only thing we could do is return the phones. We have been with Att for 30 years but say bye after all these lies. read more

I rarely write reviews unless when customer service at any business is above and beyond but whomever made Anthony in charge of providing service to first responders on their FirstNet program should reevaluate their decision and begin training someone else who isn't so condescending. I came into the store today to have my FirstNet account reviewed and was provided the worst service ever. Having swapped over from being a lifelong customer to a competing phone company, I was advised I made him lose commission based on not being a new customer and having him step away from another customer to address my issue since he's the specialist who handles FirstNet. Like come on man. I don't want to have to come to a store to handle an issue on my account to begin with and I left with absolutely no help. Based on the other reviews for this business who name drop Anthony on multiple occasions, I should have known better he is not only an issue but I'm certain his way of assisting customers does not align with the standard I'm sure is expected of him. I could do without AT&T based on his response and service alone but I'm sure there are others who will attend to customer needs at another store. It may be a longer drive for most but I would highly recommend avoiding this location for any AT&T needs unless you're just paying your monthly bill if it isn't already in disarray. This was a terrible establishment. Came in and there are 3 workers and 8 customers. They came out and started taking names to the help cue. The stout bald guy here came and took names then proceeded to help customers that spoke in his native language completely ignoring the cue. I actually witnessed 3 customers walk out. All I came in for was for me to receive verification codes again and they told me to call the 611 number due to the fact that they weren't able to, but I called 611 in the morning and they told me to come in store I'm getting pushed back-and-forth. He did not disclose extra charges ($20.99) before selling us a $6/month iPad. Imagine getting your bill and seeing $100 in extra charges. The manager was too scared to tell us NO on the iPad return so passed us off to Loyalty. Turns out Loyalty isn't too loyal to their customers. Passed the buck back to the manager. Do yourself a favor and go to ANY OTHER store. Don't get stuck with like we did because of shady salespeople! Absolute worst customer service here. Walked into get help with unlocking a phone and immediately was given attitude saying that they couldn't help us with that. Kept saying to call customer service and when I asked if they were not able to sit with us and call customer service to help us through the process, his response was "not with that attitude." If their employees are not willing to help and their actual service isn't the greatest, why would I give a company my money? Needless to say we walked out thay store and canceled our service with them. Have been with AT&T for a little more than 20 years and had 8 lines with them. I set up an appointment and arrived a few minutes late with my family, but saw my name still on the tv screen. There were only 2 employees (male and female) upon arrival and both were assisting customers. The female said we would be helped ASAP. Minutes after we arrived, another customer came in and was told that he would be helped in a bit. While waiting, we looked around to check out the new phone plans and features. At this time, I over heard a conversation that the female employee was having with a customer. They chatted up about a former employee and his whereabouts and other personal chatter. Ok great, can you just help the customer ASAP and quit lolly gagging because you clearly see OTHER CUSTOMERS WAITING!!! We weren't helped until 30-40 minutes later and the customer who came AFTER us was helped first! WTH?!!!! We arrived first, WITH an appointment mind you! When FINALLY helped, Kasandra helped me and my family out and we were FINALLY able to get outta there TWO HOURS LATER from when we first arrived. She even stayed an extra 5-10 minutes after her shift to finish helping us out. I added an extra star only because she was nice enough to do so. We've come to this location many times and this has been the very FIRST TIME WE'VE received disappointing service. If a district manager ever reads this, you gotta consider retraining your people for BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND APPRECIATION! Worst experience ever. I saw Marcus to get two lines transferred over from Verizon and then move an ATT number over. They moved our number wrong and we had to pay double taxes due to their mistake! Not only did the port over numbers wrong, instead of having a "dummy" number while we wait for our numbers to get ported, a random number got put into our phones creating a new phone line. Instead of having 4 lines we walked out with 6 lines UNKNOWINGLY. Now Marcus was extremely kind and energetic, the managers should've helped him instead of making assumptions with our phone lines. This is the store managers fault for not helping their team members. We spent 6 hours here the first day. Delt with all of the problems and came back the next day to deal with the number mistake. Now fast forward a week later after we were told everything was solved and the other two lines were removed we get our phone bill. Our bill was OVER $500 because of THEIR mistakes with setting up the phones lines, and then not having them removed.. The bill shows ALL 6 lines. 2 of which we were told were fixed and didn't exist. So now I'm paying this because they messed up, and I have to wait. Anthony was extremely rude, unhelpful, and had tone. God knows how long for my money to come back!!! Apparently it's my fault that they made assumptions and transferred my number wrong. This entire process has been extremely frustrating. I received an email confirmation from the store to pick up my device at the store immediately. When I went to the store, NO ONE including the manager knew how to process online orders. I came into the store and was skipped twice by the employee. I was going to upgrade my iPhone, but not at this location.

Had a pretty poor experience here. Wanted to switch from Verizon to ATT. Everything was cheaper and it looked like I had a pretty good deal. Big thing was having a hotspot. Employee said hotspot was $25.00 for unlimited data. Went ahead an ported numbers to ATT only for employee to say they are out of hotspots and none would be coming for over a month. I now have my phone lines with ATT, but still have to use MIfI with Verizon. Turns out ATT only allows 40 gigs for $25.00 and not unlimited as the employee had promised. We have a business and use the hotspot and blow through $50 gigs a month meaning if we want a device from ATT I would need more data and therefore cost more. I dont know how long Ill be a ATT customer... but it doesn't seem like it's going to work out. Manager tried to help and was nice, but he cant make up for the lies I was told initially. read more

I made an appointment in advance to upgrade a phone on our account. After someone sat us down I told her I wanted an iPhone 11. She went to the back and said: "We are out of 11s" with a blank look and then silence. I said "ok well that's what we want can you see if another store close has one?" She said " we have no way of knowing other stores inventory." I asked if she could call another store for us. She said "no they don't let us do that." I said "they" don't allow you to help me purchase a phone from your company!?" She said we could do it ourselves. However my daughter called earlier today to inquire what phones they had in stock and the gentleman that answered the phone was rude, inconsiderate and dismissive... even ended call abruptly.. we still decided to go in and had the amazing sales lady take care of us. So my iPhone screen stopped working, guess this is a thing ., i purchased insurance with At&t since my family has many devices. Anyway i contacted at&t help line the told me to take it to a ape dealer and they would send me a nee phone the next day just let them know i am a P4 so i contacted apple the sent to best buy who is a certified dealer i guess the tech tried to fix it by resetting the phone., they told me it would cost me $250.00 to replace the screen i told them i will just take it to at&t because my insurance deduct-able is only $200 the tech said good idea. I then drove across the street to the AT&T store i waited patiently for someone to greet us.. didn't happen for a good 15min then what i think was a manager told this worker named gabriel to put us on a list so gabe aproched us asked me for my name and number so i gave it to him 5 minutes later gabe comes to where we are seated and asks what he can do for us i show him the phone and as soon as he sees its locked he says with attitude i cant do anything with this ,"this is not our fault"!! Drops my phone on the desk frustratedly ., calmly i said why are you saying that? he got an attitude and hostile with me and repeated "he cannot do anything" i said to him why are you acting like that? When none is treating you poorly he said defensively yes you are ! I said let me talk to your manager ,he said no ,no manager here so go ! So i collected my phone and started out of the store and at that point he repeatedly said "have a nice day sir " sarcastically and codisendingly over and over ., making matters worse so at that point i I asked for his name which he did give me . The sales person was great however during the transfer and set up process the iPhone somehow got locked out with no explanation. I've useed the same passcode on all of our devices in our home for 6ys and if I swapped numbers I wouldn't of been able to do it a second time when confirming it which I explained to him after he blamed me for the issue. With that being said I had NOT even left the store with the phone yet and the manager came over and told me that there was NOTHING he would do to help me. I'd have to go to Apple to get it fixed. So you're telling me, I purchased a defective device, that I have NOT EVEN LEFT THE STORE WITH, you're going tell me I now have to now go to an Apple store to figure out what's wrong with it. The guys in the store would not even talk to their own Rep on the phone. They literally refuse to take care of you once you spend money with them.
